In Australia, you literally can't even change your gender without SRS, and it takes like literally years of bullshit to get it, probs like 6mo+ just to get 'mones in most cases.

You can get an orchiectomy in the meantime, if you're not sold on SRS. That'll be good for your health, because it means you won't have to take anti-androgens anymore. And HRT treatment should provide breast growth. Some people will take the A cups they were destined, rather than deal with the complications of silicone.

My psych does skype interviews sometimes, he usually has a pretty big wait list but he can get you diagnosed, get you scripts and a form for a blood test, you'd just have to get a referral from a gp to get it through medicare

Purchase hormones online, from QHI. The most trusted online pharmacy there is. You're right, you'll be waiting 6-12 months for hormones from a doctor. Take online ones in the meantime, or don't even see a doctor.

You don't need SRS to be trans. You *do* need SRS to change your sex on your birth certificate from male to female. Which isn't even that important, really. How often do people see your birth certificate?

The Gender Centre in Annandale can help you if you email them, too.

Actually some states no longer require that and NSW only requires an unspecified surgery, so FTMs change their gender after a mastectomy. Federally only a letter is required.

Seconding QHI. Three months worth of hormones from QHI is about a hundred bucks. Get regular blood tests, don't specify why, ask for the results to be posted to you. You can keep track of your own transition, do it on your own terms.

There is no known cure for Gender Dysphoria.

Trans people transition because they have no choice, it's suicide or transition for most of these people. For some, it may not be, but their life is still, regardless not worth living in some fashion to make going through the hell that is transition worth it.

Go to your doctor and say "I want to be a girl", they'll get you on your way and at the very least refer you somewhere more useful. Maybe they'll even prescribe HRT on informed consent if you're very lucky.

If you don't want to go to your usual doctor, go to another one.
