Played Vanilla > WotLK, glad a few times.
Also played on TBC AT until WotLK AT was released during Cata. Pretty high rating, but no glad-beast on AT.
Played 2 months or so of Cata / MoP / WoD - all were trash.
Anticipating Corecraft now.
Corecraft is a 2.4.3 progressive (from 2.0.3) blizzlike realm. It's basically the TBC equivalent of Nostalrius; flawless scripting, totally retail-like.
It's not out yet though, hopefully this year, although I've been saying that for the past 2...
I've not found any, no. Those that are 'decent' are usually based off of (iirc) a core called 'mangoes' which is buggy as all hell and mechanically fucked.
Like I said, used to play on AT before it merged into the warmane trash it is now - nothing decent since =/
>although that xp modifier is a bit meh
I thought the same thing, then I tried leveling on that new 1x progressive warmane server a few months back and wanted to blow my fucking brains out.
Plus the recruit a friend gives you 3x exp which is completely blizzlike anyways.
I played on vengeance wow when it was vanilla. I've played their TBC server a bit but it's not attracting enough population.
I did play retail WoD but it seemed pretty lackluster and I dislike the lack of coherent community like there used to be.
Ye, pretty fun if you missed some expansions etc. from Eu but US because more panda friends :3

Top 200 ranked this season. git on my level and git gud
Fuck that noise, I've played both and they're garbage next to Skyforge. Tera is just Spam Dodge shit with piss-poor animations and no class balance. GW2 is a grind parade and the action elements are basically fraudulent.
Been playing off-and-on since TBC. This is my warrior being the paragon of chastened maturity during the opening to WoD.
but i'm famous
>Pvefags can't realize they are playing mini games
>literally a scripted activity created to be won so they can feel like they did something by killing a huge 3D model and give blizzard their shekels
Why are pvers so blind ?
>winning because you picked the right class
>winning because a group of people can organize and communicate effectively to execute a strategy
source: multiple hwl/current archi farmer
Well if you dont like "mini games" then go play a game with a game with some real pvp.
>I can tell you are new player if you stand behind what wow pvp has become
>Playing wow for anything other the the nostalgic value from when the game was good
get fucking rekt scrub
>ur just bad
k go play enhance ele resto sham and come tell me when you hit rank 1 with it oh wait thats right the game revolves around what class you play not how good you are at it
>ye i am not a /v/ nostalgiafag sorry
better then a i got into wow because i hear about how play live out alteregos while playing
>implying you are a furfag tranny that hangs around goldshire on an RP server
PvE is pretty much what WoW is designed for. Pvp is just kind of a cash grab to try and attract a larger player base. But WoW and EQ are pretty classic MMO's so PvE is the core of the game since it is technically an rpg
Remember those MLG 3on3 arena tournaments? They were pretty cool for a while but I think they ditched them by the time WOTLK came.
I think TBC was the best time for arena when everything was still new and people were discovering the most broken shit like drain teams and arp double melee teams.
The most fun I had was still in 2on2 playing as a shadow priest.
The frustrating thing is as soon as you remove PvE from the equation and start making minor balance tweaks around PvP rather than dmg meters WoW PvP actually wasn't a piece of shit.
AT3.3.5 had great class and comp diversity, thanks to damage nerfs to wizzard cleaves and thundercleave, the remove of legendaries and universal access to PvE gear (ie, it became a choice to use it rather than a straight up advantage). Every single class had at least 2 rank 1 viable specs and several even had 3, it was great.
Blizzard, really, really, REALLY don't know shit about developing a great PvP game. Hearthstone is a simple system pushed by marketing and ease-of-access, HotS is a total joke, Overwatch is an outright copy of TF2, and they killed SC2 because of reasons?
WoW is dying because its developer only cares about the bottom line and mass-appeal rather than creating a truly engaging game.
I've been playing recently, but i only had enough to buy 1 month of sub time so now i've just been through most races/classes to 20 then started a new one.
Latest i'm sticking with though and is a Belf priest on an RP server (argent dawn EU) No need to go higher than 20 just to RP and since i'm still basically new i'm having enough fun just running the low level dungeons anyway.
Just find a nice panda guild in the horde, most male pandas are nice.
gw2 is complete aids right now
HoT is garbage meta event farming, have spirit vale on farm for over 2 months now. The updates that do come out are small and don't capture attention that much. sPvP is a clusterfuck of AoE dmg and WvW sucks.
Granted I'm a casual scrub who only plays a few months every expansion, but I hope the Legion PvP changes and talents will improve this.
The ability prune in WoD was over the top too in my opinion. I play Priest (Disc/Holy) and almost exclusively unrated BGs, so I know I can't have any strong opinions on game balance. But I really miss having a short stun for chasing flag carriers, against Warriors, etc. Having to talent fear (only CC besides Silence) which has been baseline since Vanilla feels pretty ridiculous too. Personally I'd rather have a counterspell and a stun than blanket silence.
How do you keep Atonement up? I just returned a month ago so I'm not used to Disc playstyle. Do you use target of target macros for Holy Fire/Smite, or also a macro to cast HF on nearest target? I saw it mentioned but it seems dangerous in case it breaks a CC (not that those are that common in unrated BGs).
>pic related, my damage has improved a lot now
Do you play rated BGs? If so, do you have any addon recommendations?
>I'm lucky enough to have be in a guild of competent players that can farm spirit vale while most people are stuck pugging shitters with no idea how to play their class let alone perform in a raid environment
Must be a nice position to be in. I only have one class choice and it's not even fully ascended because I just started playing 2 months ago so decent guilds won't even take me (not that I've applied to any baka).
femboy pvp god reporting in :^)
haven't played wod much though
wod is shit
I just started up Nostalrius.
True to the name, I've been flooded with nostalgia. It makes me amazed at how easy the game has become when getting to play classic content again.
Currently leveling a dorf priest. Probably going to be a healbitch.
>Where have all the good neckbeards gone?
Busy being furfags and fagging each other out
even when I quit WoW forever and leave /wowg/ in an attempt to escape the eternal cancer that is pandafags you fucks manage to haunt me on a completely separate board
KILL YOURSELVES DEGENERATE FUCKS
Daily reminder the pandaren being cute as fag :3 trigger angry 4channers
i am gay anon, of course i ll occasionally pass through here :3
>when I quit WoW forever
Why dont you find some panda friends to play with? You ll feel a lot happier
The ability prune was badly implemented, they said it was to remove pointless spells but all they did was gate them behind talents.
They should of resolved every spec into 4-5 key rotational abilities and a bunch of baseline utility that could be TWEAKED with talents. Instead they gave every class combo points or rage, tacked on tens of talents when they should be at most a dozen then said "well you can spec for it".
Classes in WoW have less diversity and lower skill-ceilings than most champs in LoL, and now they're making it even worse with PvP talents, artifact traits and the removal of secondary specs on PvP gear. Legion PvP is going to be terrible because the systems its built on are the worst in WoWs history.
