i guess some people just enjoy dressing up outlandishly and doing transgressive things. who cares really? how often do you see people in drag outside of gay bars?

Drag is a form of entertainment which satires the idea that gay men are just women stuck in men's bodies, like what they thought in old times. Flamboyant gays are when that became popular culture.
