Since the Puma is, internally a big T97, if I were to chop the barrel and put a brake on it, would it mess with the gas system/give me cycling issues?

Figure a shortened Puma would be an excellent upgrade to my M500 for HD, if it can be made to work.
>UNG-12 never :(
>>
>>34987331
Fast probably less than 2 weeks.
If you did it recently you only have to pay the difference between PAL and RPAL think its $20
>>

just going off knowing what causes that in ARs, it would probably be remedied with what ever equivalent there is to the buffer+spring (get a heavier one)

Less barrel means shorter dwell time, you'll need to compensate for that or deal with a lot of FTEs. is the gas system on those adjustable?
>>
>>34987376
glad I asked here when I was getting my license, told me to get both even though I just wanted a NR rifle. Went to the range with a buddie and got to shoot his 1911 and fell in love immediately. Went out that week to buy my first handgun.

so yeah, should have got both. You guys are still wrong about .22 handguns though, they are great.

It is, but I don't know how it would be adjusted to compensate. It's basically a THICC T97, and has an equally oddball system.

22 handguns are so so. I've shot a few and beyond the novelty of recoil-less mag dumps, I don't see the appeal. inb4 'its for practice'. you're better off with the real deal, a gun with actual weight and recoil.

22 rifles are tons of fun though with an accurate platform. love my cz 455.

the only mistake is faggots who say you have to get a .22 first. fuck that. got it after my SKS and AR.

>>
>>34987497
Basically, shorter dwell time means the gas system is pressurized for a shorter period. So you'd want to open up the regulator far enough to allow enough gas volume in to cycle the action. Which, basically trial and error, and I'd be hesitant to even try it if you keep the regulator more than halfway open when shooting normally.

if you want a short shotgun, why don't you just get a 12" or a 8.5" grizzly, officer, then you won't have to break the law at all.
grizzlies are NR, reliable 870 pump action, somewhat limited capacity (you'd want tube fed, since mag fed are hit and miss on reliability), but that can be remedied with a variety of shell holders designed for standard 870 receiver, they are redardedly short and you're a big guy, so even 12" will be good for you

or did you already buy the Puma and those are your pics? anon talking about dwell time is correct. theoretically, hypothetically, never to be done in reality, shortening the barrel on a semi-auto will reduce the amount of gas that goes back into the system drastically, the closer the distance between the gas system and the muzzle gets, and it's not a linear equation. if you remember, back in 2013 or 2014, there was a batch of NR 5.56 VZs that would beat themselves to shit, recoil so hard that bolts would crack and the ever-reliable VZ would get stove-pipes, since the action cycled so violently, it didn't give the casing time to fly clear. the reason for that was that the drunken Czechs ended up drilling the same size gas port holein a bunch of the 18.6" barrels as they did in their 11.8" shortie model. I can't recall the precise difference, but I think it was like 3.5mm and needed to be 3mm or 2.8mm or something along those lines. opening up the port .5mm more than required made VZ fuck itself up, that's how big of a difference it made.

considering how finicky the simi-auto mag fed shotguns are to begin with, you're asking for a massive pain in the ass doing anything with it, aside from other kind of pain in the ass (see below)

I wouldn't spend a dime on anything that's not gen 3. Single gen 3 tube> dual gen 2+ tubes. Depth perception with a monocular isn't that much worse, you just fatigue faster than you do with dual tubes.

Unless you're innawoods 24/7 where there is no ambient light, dual tubes are a significant advantage. Single tubes let you read lighting conditions easier plus you're not totally blinded if someone shines a flashlight at you or launches a flare.

Wait awhile until you're not on meds, get a psychiatrist to evaluate you as A-Okay and be able to show proof to the CFO.

That would be my guess. As getting a firearm is a privilege in this country and entirely dependent on the CFO. I'm not sure what the difference between voluntary and involuntary commitment to mental health treatment is in this country in regards to getting a license.e

I had my pilot's license temporarily revoked after I was straightforward about it during a medical examination, it took 9 months to get it reinstated and completely stalled any progress I had studying for my CPL, it's how I ended up getting the formal diagnosis in the first place (they required it to reinstate my license). I'm thinking having to go through the same bureaucratic nightmare again might not even be worth it.

Would anyone be interested in trading an imperial Russian nugget (none of that rebuilt soviet stuff), be it Finnish stamped SA (but not a Finnish rebuilt though), or original untouched, for an Austrian Steyr (full length ww1) M95 repurposed for parade drill with an Austrian bayonet? This thing is a nice wallhanger, but I want an imperial nugget for personal sentimental reasons.

>you can also just call them and ask for an new card with new conditions without buying another restricted; the card just gets auto-sent to you in the case you do buy one and don't have the new card yet, but you can request it without further purchases

DO NOT EXIST

straight up most doctors keep records of you but for their own use only; it's not like DA SPOOKY SEKRIT SQUIRRELZ can get them easily without a lot of digging.

And not, like, legality prevents them, I mean actual level of effort and figuring out who the fuck your doctor is prevents them. It's just not worth their time to delve that hard.

I have one I got for $1000 and I love it, nice and accurate, cheap ammo, folding stock is cool af. I'm still on the fence about an M305 but I'm hearing that they're often 3-4 MOA and that's honestly a big downside for something shooting ammo that's nearly a dollar a round.

Remington Speedmaster. It can even feed .22 short, so subsonic isn't an issue.

At what point will the mass proliferation of powdered metal 3D printers render gun laws irrelevant? Maybe 8 years from now?
>>
Friendly reminder that our own hearing protection act will never ever be passed
>>
>>35016886
The patents on that have only recently expired and even an open-source version would be rather costly to set up. Depending on which metal you are using, you may need to remove all reactive gases from the build chamber and maintain the entire volume JUST BELOW the melting point of the metal. That way, the laser/electron beam/whatever you are using to sinter the particles together doesn't need put a fuckton of energy into it (which can displace particles, create weak points and would be very costly).

That all being said... We live in a world where anyone can acquire tools at their local hardware store that would make someone from the earlier 20th century shit themselves. Anything that could be manufactured back then can be manufactured now by any schmuck who passed a high school shop class.

Asking whether 3D printing will render gun control laws unenforceable presupposes that they aren't already.
