Unless you are deploying with it you are probably fine. I have long size q-tips that I use to get oil under the barrel in hard to reach spots but never once in all of the snow shooting I do have I had issues with rust on the barrel itself

How do you get mud under your handguards? Drop in free-floats have been killed off by cheaper true free-floats. Accuracy issues can result if you have a laser on them but as far as barrel harmonics and shit are concerned you shouldnt have any issues with a CASV or similar drop in freefloat. Swap the fucking barrel nut already, christ.

Rail is good, only 4 oz heavier than a mk8, finish seems thin, install is antiquated but solid. Mine is the longest they offer, being 13.2". My barrel is 16", so a RIS would have been haram for a number of reasons, even if I went 14.5 p/w.
