for me any steel stock is uncomfortable.
let me paint you a picture.
get a good cheek weld. for me my cheek bone is resting on top of the stock.
firing with a wood stock, it's a bump every time I pull the trigger. no big deal.
with a steel stock it feels like someone is smacking the under side of that steel stock with a hammer, up into my ckeekbone.

This is all with 7.62x39. I've never used any kind of folder with 5.45 which has significantly less recoil

this thing is fucking amazing. I slapped it on my friend's overgassed npap and it tamed the recoil down to AR levels. But that's not really what sets it apart from all others (IMO).

We went out camping in the woods, and shot the rifle at 2am when it was pitch black. There was NO flash! I was absolutely blown away. I have no idea how this thing is such an excellent brake and flash hider at the same time.

That's tough to decide for sure, but I'm leaning towards the psl at the moment. I have a thing for shooting steel core 54r ammo, and just like the looks and feel of the psl plus the bolt old open at the last round. I'd say they shoot equally well for me otherwise.
But I shoot the 308 more often because there's no fuss with corrosive ammo, I can buy it literally anywhere, and noncorrosive 308 is cheaper than it's equivalent noncorrosive 54r.
The biggest downside of the psl is getting to be ammo selection now that surplus light ball has stopped coming in, but I've got plenty of the factory 188 ammo that's been so accurate.

Nigga AKs are heavier than ARs as a general rule. That's just the reality, that rifle had nothing on it I don't see on ARs all the time (minus the bipod which I agree is not needed for the shooting he was doing). Those ARs are still sub 10lbs. My AR w/16" barrel, scout light, and PRO is 9lbs1oz. It's not complaining to comment on how an AK setup like ARs usually are would be heavier than a similar AR setup.
