No, it really isn't. If the 104fr had a 5.5mm pin trunnion and dimpled barrel components with a smooth top cover I'd call it close enough, but it lacks all of those things.

Just enjoy it for what it is.

I've got a Bulgarian one for my SLR for if I ever want to put the retarder in just for the cool factor, and assembling the FCG outside of the rifle with it it all works fine. I'm like 99% sure it'll work with any old FA safety but Bulgarian ones are pretty cheap, I only paid like $16 or mine from one of the many Bulgarian kit part outs on the Files a few months back

All the reliability and ridiculously long life of the WASR but with dimples and generally smoother.

Usually go for between $650-750.

You gotta also remember that it's gonna cost him like $40 to ship plus another $40 for insurance so in reality he's only really getting $800-$820 of that which is probably what he's valuing the rifle at and then adding shipping+insurance costs. Plus if the brake he's got on it is a true Maadi brake that's even more value as they can get hard to find. Apex had/has them for $40, and True Black anon waited months to find one on the files before he finally did and bought a few. If you don't care about the value of the Maadi brake that's all null, but if having an authentic Egyptian brake is important to you than already having one on the rifle is something that is going to save you either a lot of time or a lot of money from Apex.

Well Egyptian mags are generally more expensive than Egyptian slings so I'd go with that. You can easily find used Egyptian slings for like $15. Expect rust on the buckle but like 85% of Egyptian slings have rust on them. Non rusty Egyptian slings usually go for $30+ but just wire brush the rust off and spray paint it black or just don't care about a little rust on your sling.

Another complaint I have with slav kit is that modern shit like the 6b46 work well, but look like Western gear with digiflora. The 6b13 is objectively more aesthetic but doesn't work as well for it's actual purpose.

And tiny shit like extra pouches cost upwards of 20$ excluding shipping, stuff like hydration carriers 100$+ as you mentioned, gloves easily 40-50$, ect but shipping often doubles the cost for small items

Although cloth boots are prolly more comfortable than leather combats, besides a less than ideal amount of padding, those boots are legit super nice, broke em in a while ago.

Not so much that as railed RPKs. It doesn't quite look right to me, and the only way that I could justify a rail would be with a VFG or laser device (with NVGs), which isn't out of the realm of possibility in the future.

I actually like how clean the new U models look though and the sand color they have is my aesthetic.

gp-25 from russian surplus came in, things def brand new and hasn't been used. Tight fit on my izzy triangle and the belt thing worked great on tightening it down. It's alot bulkier in person then on pictures, but damn it's comfortable to shoulder.
