ATS War Belt (Should have gotten HSGI Sure Grip)
ATS Inner duty belt side release buckle.
Grey Ghost Gear 2x2 rifle/pistol mag pouch. Shingles with elastic retention.
ESSTAC KYWI shorty single rife mag pouch. This is my fast reload pouch.
ATS Small upright GP pouch. Perfect size for a Nalgene. Nice smooth zippers. Use it for a Nalgene.
Tactical Tailor Fight Light dump pouch. Works well for policing mags, brass, misc shit. Will not stand up to a burning fuse. Has a small hole because of one.
Another ATS Upright Small GP pouch. 2nd Nalgene.
MilsimWest/Tactical Tailor UV5R radio pouch. Works okay, but has an issue. Comes undone with vigorous movement. Trying to remedy issue with a 3D printed extended power knob for the radio to trap the retention strap in between the antenna and the knob.
Condor Universal pistol holster. Just a stand in until I finalize my pistol and get a custom Kydex holster rolled.
HSGI Bleeder/Blowout IFAK with a CAT on the side attached by a CAT Trap.

Get real hiking boots is my suggestion. Something from REI. 5.11 is overpriced and bad value across the board IMO.

I've got Keens. They're not perfect as they are already splitting side from sole, but the waterproofing was/is still solid, and I've easily put 200 miles on them.

Comfort - it seems to be the way my hand and arm wants to go to draw. There's also a very small lock lever on the bottom of the rig that you flick with your index finger to unlock it, and then draw, and this position seems to work best.

You can actually MacGuyver a plate into at least some Mayflower chest rigs. Florida flannel anon did it by sticking the plate in the map pocket at some 550 cord. He mentioned something about Mayflower making a flap to add a plate properly but I haven't been able to find anything on it.

making built in pockets takes a lot more time than bartacking a few rows of PALS webbing like on a RRV. Even then the MSRP for a legit Eagle RRV is well over the MSRP for a Mayflower chest rig, so if you think the Mayflower chest rig is expensive, you're barking up the wrong tree.

Whether or not it's $450 of great is subjective but the tubes system is very very nice
I like the integral side plate pouches, the airflow and padding are both great
One great thing that I like is if you're using very stiff MALICE clips or something equally as hard to thread through MOLLE, your plate sits directly behind the MOLLE, so you can pretty much just push it through the loops without it getting caught on anything instead of meticulously having to thread it

I can tell you one thing. A2 was bugging me to buy a suppressor almost a year ago. I told him it simply wasn't a priority and in between now and then I've easily spent $2k on gear and handguns.
