>>34587538
Buy online m8

Czechpoints are expensive now but they're fantastic rifles, every once in a while you can find them used for a fair price. Century's aren't bad but be sure to look it over as with all Century guns and prepare for a terrible trigger compared to a Czechpoint's already mediocre at best trigger
>>
>>34587558
true, I have no experience with that. I really wouldn't know where to begin.
>>
>>34587578

Call 2a sales or duffys gun room. They specialise in the rifles most fudd stores are afraid to touch.

Also, stay away from the vz2008. They are incredibly cheaply made and will turn you off to the rifle. Back when I was a poorfag, I bought an sks over the vz2008. They also have non chrome barrels and non tabbed carriers, notorious for trigger reset problems.

Mags can be hard to find. Go to the nation's gun show in northern virginia and ask around.
>>
>>34587597
Step 1. Find VZ58 online, via google. In my few minutes of looking around, I found these two:

Step 2. Make damn sure that the one you find is the one you want to buy. Look closely at pictures, description, and do generalized research on that model. Ask the seller any questions before you bid or buy.

Step 3. When you decide on which one, call your local gun store and ask if they do ffl transfers. Also ask (if you don't know) what the laws are in your state regarding ak-type rifles.

Step 4. If everything looks good, buy or bid on the rifle.

Step 5. When you successfully purchase the rifle, wait a few hours. If you don't receive any messages, message the seller for instructions regarding ffl information.

Step 6. Typically the seller will give you an email address or fax # to send the FFL information to

Step 7. Call or email gun store, tell them to send ffl information for your transfer to [insert fax# or email here]

Step 8. Once the seller received the info, he will ship your gun to your gun store

Step 9. When it arrives, go into your gun store, get background checked, and take her home.

Bought a KAC stripped lower, SR-16 CQB Mod 1 upper, and a Maxim Defense CQB brace. Thinking of getting a 4.2" Ruger Redhawk in .44 magnum for camping once I build that AR pistol but can't decide what's next after that.
>>
>>34587817
If you get an AR, be a real G and build an A1 clone with wood furniture.
>>
>>34587759

They are really fun sempai. It's 10 dollars to get in and you can have fun just walking around. I bought surplus mags for 20 dollars each. They work great in my rifle, but are worn. Don't let looks deceive you.

Also, it's literally impossible to find mags for these rifles in state. Just check the nation's gun show. I've had great luck there. There's a vendor in the back left corner of the large room that sells them

I don't get a lot of opportunities to shoot rifles. The rifle ranges where I live are either public outdoor ranges where ROs watch you like a hawk, or else there are some unsupervised public ranges, but there are some dangerous antics that go on at the unsupervised ranges, given that the kind of people who go there are probably the same ones who have been banned from the regular supervised ranges. I enjoy shooting handguns more, anyway, since that's what I carry and have a practical use for.

>where do you buy ammo for that?
Online or in local stores
>can you buy it belted or do you have to order the little clips and belt the ammo yourself?
You can buy it belted for a shitload more but I mainly utilize the non disintegrating links which are 50 round belts that zip through the gun and fall in a pile. When im done shooting I fill grab these little piles of metal, take them home, clean any dirt off and then push new ammo onto them.

I can get the disintegrating links for cheap but picking those fuckers up sucks

Mine is a preban steyr spp that was unfired until I got my hands on it. Disassembly can be sort of a pain but I might just be retarded.

Pros:
>Counter Strike fantasy
>Fits the hand well
>no reliability issues
>can bumpfire it ezpz

Cons:
>trigger is meh
>Charging handle feels flimsy
>cant drop bolt on empty mag
>small bolt release
>spare mag costs
>mine cant take the new style folding stock (which has a design flaw causing it to break)

>>
>>34599742
The one at the LGS is a Steyr SPP also. Had forgotten the name but it isn't one of the B&T ones. Researched the stock issue as I SBR all of my PCCs and it made me cringe also. The fixed stock you can get from Steyr is fugly. It'd just be a supplement to my other 9mm PCCs and subguns. I have a pathological hatred of closed bolt modifications of open bolt designs and closed bolt subguns are uncommon while open bolt subguns are class 3 and expensive, hence the interest. Thanks for the informative reply anon.

Not everything I own. TGF 1950 Mauser K98k on the way as well. To anyone that knows, how much of a bitch is it to assemble a Kar98k stock together from full disassembly? Might buy a New Old Stock if I don't like the one it ships with. Its not a TGF original (Older war time stock on 1950 receiver) so I don't mind the "authenticity" bit. Only the barrel matches the receiver anyways.

I'll take a better picture one day.

>quantity but nothing interesting
Nothing historically significant in there right now, although I used to own quite a few "interesting" guns. Over the years, I reached the point where I can only really be satisfied with a gun if I was the first owner, or at least if I bought it in truly LNIB condition. Other people's scratches, rust, blemishes, and other dirty secrets really bothers me. I once bought a Colt Woodsman that I discovered after I'd gotten it home from the FFL had a canted trigger. When I took it apart to figure out what was going on, I found that the top of the trigger inside the frame had been filed down for some fucking reason so it could no longer sit straight up-and-down in the trigger guard. Many such examples where a used gun had something wrong with it that I just couldn't live with.

>How fudd can i be? I traded my 1911 and Century C39V2 for 3 more shotguns(plus some stuff on top of that).
Is that your entire collection? I know a few Fudds and they wouldn't think that you (or anyone else) has any business owning that many guns, so I guess you've got that going for you.

Kinda, ive given a few guns away. Too people i thought needed them.

My dad say i only like man killers....i dont get either.

I like owning old guns with history or new guns with history. I like working on broken shit. I was given a Walther TPH that had been sitting under a bathtub for 10 years because no one could get it to work. it was assembled the wrong way and no one knew to grease the gun. I got it back together and traded it off after putting 100 rounds through it.

I would have fixed up the woods man or gave it to a gunsmith to turn into something unique.

Probably some others I forgot not in there either. Vaguely remember buying something in .40 and some Slav shit recently but don't remember what.

It depends on what you want to do.

For a do anything shotgun, i would suggest a Ithaca, browning, or Remington. Generally you can do pretty good with the Sears and hardware store shotguns because they produced by companies like remington, stevens, browning but stamped with a different name. if you want a semi-automatic i would go A5, its pretty much the best semiauto shotguns. I would only use Remington semi-automatics for heavy loads. Right now im pretty stoked on my two ithaca's. such a pleasant design. Im a big fan of Remington though, ive cleaned up quite a few that have sat in damp closets and bathrooms. I picked up one that had been sitting behind a refrigerator rusting for 10 years, i took it hunting and it didnt miss a beat with 00 buck. I dont recommend moss bergs, or low end weatherbys. Ive seen moss berg safety break off hunting and ive seen two weatherbys come apart in the hands of two different hunters. Although i think the higher end weatherbys are fine. Benelli is a good company, the only shotgun that i have ever felt comfortable shooting one handed with the stock on my chin was a benelli out lander.(i had to do it, it was a weird angle shot.

in general though i would steer clear of any new production"low cost, high value" shotguns. Like mossberg 500's and Remington 870. They aren't what they used to be.

If you dont want to worry about semi-automatic shotguns not being reliable. Just get a pump and follow the same list above.

looking at your collection i think something vintage would fit right in. You would want something historically common and significant but not often recognized.

for you specifically i would suggest
>Steven 520 or 77E
>Ithaca model 37
>Winchester 87
>Winchester model 10 or 12
>Remington model 10
>Old school Remington 870, with the right stock.

I highly suggest a Steven 520 for you, it would look so good in that collection.

if you want a semi-auto
i would suggest
>Browning A5
>Remington model 11
>Savage 720

Im not saying H&K and walther guns dont work, im saying that they are overrated memes.

The Walther PPK is a good gun, but they really are not that great. Walther over all has never been that excellent excluding a few truly fantastic firearms. I do like the TPH.

H&K's is over priced, although good but never as fantastic has HK would want you to believe. the G3/Cetme was a easy to produce and relatively cheap gun designed for the eastern European onslaught that would come when the cold war warmed up. Although i have totally fallen for the meme and i have been eye balling some cetme parts kits.

My collection will never stop growing as far as im concerned.
