I try for 2-3 days a week, steadily increasing the amount I do on any given gym day. It's been kinda touch and go the last week though for various reasons. Gonna go meet Larry Vickers tomorrow evening at an event so I probably won't have time to do it tomorrow and will have to compensate by making the girl I'm dating walk all over the place with me when we got a museum on campus on Saturday.

I've never been skinny though. I was pushing 5'7"/260 in college, came down to about 175, and in the last two years I bounced back up to the mid 180s. I'll probably have to have surgery of some sort just due to all the excess skin and tissue I developed from being a super fat kid, but I want to get within 20 lbs or so of 140 before I get serious about that. I look ok with a shirt on, but the moment I take it off, it's a disaster.

you do udnerstand that you can gain weight by not eating enough right? your body has probably been preparing for starvation for years storing as much as possible from what you give it

honestly go see a dietician or find someone from the military/gov with a booklet that is full of all that info you'd pay a dietician to tell you. figure out your daily caloric expenditure based on your level of daily activity and go from there with your intake.

TLDR it's alot easier to under-eat than it is to over-eat, both result in weight gain. if you're a big guy, 1700 calories could be 700 less than what you require daily just to sit on your ass

I'm gonna have him sign my VCAS sling and maybe an AR mag, hopefully. I'm definitely serious about trying to get back down to my low weight and break past that this coming year though. I'm turning 28 soon, my other big expensive hobby that isn't guns is cosplay, and my dream cosplay is a female character who wears a rather ornate costume. My current AK projects are largely done and my SBR/suppressor stuff in a "plug and play" state waiting for stamps now, so my next big project is to lose the last of the weight I need to while I still have a face that lends itself decently to crossplay, all while funneling time and money into the costume to make it look right. Hopefully, I'll have it done late next year. That means working my ass off, literally and figuratively.

There was an anon a few threads back who had one; don't think he had anything *bad* to say about it. I mean, it's a straight blowback 9mm, kinda hard to fuck up beyond the failure to feed issues some people have reported on other sites, which might be a mag issue. That said, I'd still advise giving some consideration to the cheaper PCC "pistols" like the Scorpion Evo so you can have some aftermarket options if you decide to invest more into it.

It's etched, I don't know about astigmatism but my wife has slight amblyopia in her right eye that causes terrible vision and she can't use red dots at all cuz they blur out but she has no problem using my Obzor or Rakurs, maybe it's the same with astigmatism. A WASR is the go to first AK, and it's Romanian.
I don't see the appeal of a build with an American barrel that looks beat to shit.
Buy a new rifle and use it, it'll get to "battlefield pickup" over it's life, and the barrel will likely outlive you.
With all that said, there's more than a few anons that have Atlantic builds and say they're pretty nice.
But for the same cost I'd rather have a rifle that's going to last forever, even if it doesn't have dimples.

So I have a Saiga 7.62x39 I picked up back in the AWB for dirt cheap. I put a bullet guide in it sometime around 2010 and have since ran 500ish rounds through it just dandy. Always thought about converting it, I was looking at parts today and notice IronWood makes a wood kit for a non converted rifle and I gotta say it looks good. Almost makes me wan't to forget about converting it and just running it in the sporter configuration. What do you guys think? I'd get it in the Russian red color.

I also need to replace the mag catch, when I but in the bullet guide in and filled the mag catch I didn't do such a hot job. Who makes a decent slightly extended replacement? Would wan't to rivet it in just so it doesn't look out of place.

Already do. I'll probably force myself to just check on it every week or two until I forget about it and my anxiety fades. My current apartment isn't particularly humid (I keep a hygrometer in my safe too to monitor humidity) and I take all my guns out to give them a quick wipedown with a silicone rag and light oiling on moving parts about once every 6 months anyway, regardless of whether or not they've been fired since then. I did, he told me pretty much the same thing I was able to determine from my own research and from prodding a Russian friend to see what he could find. The 1PN58-2 is a PKMN (as in night vision PKM, not Pokemon) specific version of the 1PN58, which is probably why it doesn't come with the transit case or extra cams or any of that fun stuff.

It's still tempting, but a 1PN58 is already of questionable utility and period correctness. A 1PN58-2 strays even further from the level of period purity I'm chasing. If I bought it, I'd be basically getting it as a placeholder to be resold the moment a proper 1PN58 rears its head, and Soviet night vision obviously doesn't exactly fly off the shelves.

What lube do you guys use inside your ak? ive been trying different shit and recently been using a big can of 0-158 LSA. How did I do? It was 340 before taxes. Pairs well with my 92 since it takes the same mag and now have a excuse to buy 30rd mags and 20rdmags.

Took it shooting and shot well with OEM but few FTF with the mags it came with and it can be limp wristed. It's going to be my first SBR and going to put a folding stock on it soon ish.

Not the handguard, just the little picatinny rail handstop at the end. I know I've seen at least one guy with a Chiappa like that where he just popped the handstop off and replaced it with one of the Evo 3 handstops instead, which are much shorter and provide more of an actual stop reference.

I use one long collar when dressed up in black polymer, one of the nicer short collars when wanting to look pretty when dressed up in plum and triangle, and one of the other short collars is the brake I do the most shooting with. I'm really pissed off guys

I put in for a cuck stamp a year ago to homebuild an AK suppressor. All titanium (except blast baffle), fucking nice radial cones, overbored for less backpressure, and a REALLY nice 14mm mount that indexes on the muzzle. Pretty much a dream build... I have been waiting a long time for this thing. Well last night I was working on it... got the cones drilled and clipped (like pic related). Finally I finished and started on the endcap.

It's one of those low profile endcaps, which was proving difficult to secure in my milling vice. So I went ahead and screwed the endcap into the tube itself to drill it out. I put the tube into the vice to hold it for drilling. Was uneventful.

TILL I GOT HOME AND NOTICED THAT MY VICE BENT THE TUBE REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

A3 M1 with the high/long rail. I wasn't sure if the PRO would sit at the right height but it's exactly where I wanted it. I'll probably keep it like this for a while until I pick up an extended rail and a T-2 micro since the PRO is going on a PTR91.

The A3's military rail sits at the same height (I think), and gives you a a lot more rail space. The M1 short rail and high rail work really well for red dots, but you'd probably have to fiddle with mounts to get anything magnified positioned correctly. The extended rail that Pete Athens put out sits at a height that's close to AR15 upper receiver height. Or if I want to LARP with a 3x optic/red dot combo I can do that too.

The A3 with a military rail is hot though.

Bought a nice wood set. But I'm having a problem with loading mags into it. I assume I'm going to have to shave off a wee bit of the receiver because there's no mag I have that'll rock into the damn thing.
