I like mine. Looks cool, does what I need it too. I got the IR laser/visiblend red laser, and a surefire mini scout with the IR head (km1-c) for illum. All paired together with a surefire dual pressure switch, my night fire rifle build is going to be banging when I get back from iraq. Even got a BE Meyers 249f for that sweet 94% flash reduction so my nods don't get impaired from the muzzle flash

It's a rifle dude. It was invented solely for combat. And therefore should be outfitted with quality parts (preferably with nsn #s) from reputable, government contract holding company's. The reason for this is, your rifle will not fail in the rare event you use it in combat, or more realistically, training for combat (which is fun) also, there is aesthetic value in utilitarian design, hence the popularity in block 2, mark18, and mk12 spr builds. Take the sopmod stock for example. It's a plain color, fde or black. It has 2 sling slots, and one qd cup. It does look all fancy like your cringey mft minimalist stock. Not one thing exists on the sopmod that doesn't serve a purpose, and therefore it's beautiful.

Yeah, my bushing ramped on one side too, where it rides under that machining bump inside the slide, under where the front sight be. If I don't install the bushing with that ramp lined up with that bump, it's much more difficult to rack. It's like the bushing should have been beveled on the OD but wasn't, or the slide wasn't inletted enough.

Seems like they did a lot of things poorly for a company employing hundreds of experienced engineers.

But still, dem ergs and aesths. The OUTSIDE looks and feels supreme.

Eye relief on the aug is abysmal. If I were you I would get a super low mount for the t2 and just forget about irons. If the situation breaks the T2 on your rifle you probably arent going to be alive to tell the story.
