That's been my experience with the 4 prong version SFCT. Some dude on a clone forum claimed he was able to order an SFCT from Surefire by phone or email and it took 9 months to get it.

M8, guns aren't some special magic world where unlike every other industry, loctite needs to be slathered on everything. Torque is a well understood physical property; how fasteners keep things together is something engineers learn in their first years of college.

Try selling anything to a market segment known for loctiting barrel nuts to a receiver without including instructions for where to apply loctite and you'll quickly find your product dismissed as junk or unreliable.

Probably saves some warranty claims too.
