Gunfighter charging handles and shit are fine, but I had one I sent back because it wouldn't headspace. My rifle is a core 15 keymod "scout", is this considered a recce? I know you prefer paper to steel for checking groupings, but what about 2 liters? Should I add googly eyes to make them appear more menacing, and therefore increase the dramatic effect?

What should a basic range include, besides obvious safety measures like backstops? I'm looking for target setups, shot setups, things of that nature that you think would make for a good all around range.

CMMG Mk9 PDW SBR, or Rock River LAR-9 SBR? Both use Colt magazines. LAR-9 would be a bit cheaper, but I'd have to assemble the upper as they don't offer a pre-built SBR config. Either will receive a can.

Yes, they're mainly an AR parts supplier in Milwaukie. I've never been there and I don't know how far I'd trust their gunsmithing sight unseen (not that it's hard to build an AR). But people I talk to have a very high opinion of them. These people are also normies so ymmv.

I've called them 4-5 times over the last couple of years to find AR parts before checking online but they've not had what I was looking for. iirc I wanted a KAC URX4, a Surefire X300 Ultra, an A1 pistol grip, a Geissele charging handle and I don't recall the other things. But not outrageous stuff, so they may have common things like Troy handguards and Magpul stocks but I dunno how far their stock goes without visiting them myself.

I don't know if Curt's even does barrel threading but you're in luck because the best in the business, Tornado Technologies, is right over in Beaverton.

They do EXCELLENT, PRECISE work, I've had three barrels threaded by them. I don't know how they do the finish work but they have all come back looking like factory threads. And best of all, since you're local, you can drop it off and pick it up yourself to save shipping.

The only caveat is that Tornado does barrels in batches, so you'll need to call them to find out when the next batch of AR barrels go through the lathes. It may be a few weeks wait, or they may be doing a batch tomorrow.
