Posted a few threads ago about organizing an edmonton meet without our resident autists but only got a few replies, so would the rest of the Edmonton anons be interested? I've got a spot outside of Edmonton and a rough date as to when itll be, probably sometime in August, most likely the end of August, like the last week, and it will be a multi day event so if you can plan to camp out for a night, it'll be Saturday and Sunday starting as early as possible on Saturday. I will provide a burner email for those that are interested in the next thread probably. Moleman and Crazy Tok Guy will not be there, I'll will make sure of that.
>>
Is the Tokarev a good handgun to own? What year and country of origin should I look for or just get the cheapest one?
>>
>>34168224
>Tokarev
it's a piece of shit and priced accordingly. save your money for something decent.

Cheapest gun that can defeat most body armour. Ammo is still cheap (for now) and it's pretty sturdy.

I'd say go for it.

They're ok. The biggest issue is no feed ramps, so you'll wanna get a gunsmith to notch them. Also, the sights kinda suck, and the LOP is short. But it's a great starter bullpup. Excellent trigger for a bullpup.

If you're certain about avoiding a professional diagnosis and treatment, then you can do these things as a roundabout way of self-treating it:

http://www.depressiontoolkit.org/takecare/

Alternatively, if you are more academically inclined, you can read the actual treatment processes used with depression and attempt to be your own psychologist. Don't know if it would work better than the basic stuff in the link, though. Try the basics first and see what happens.

If it gets to the point that you're thinking of offing yourself, then get professional treatment asap. To hell with your guns for a while, you can't enjoy them if you're dead.

Don't wander around where natives and Somalis loiter, and you won't need the LCR. Still, very little chance of printing if you get a decent holster. And since I'm assuming it's completely unregistered, it's something you can always wipe and dump if you do ever have to use it. A pricy throwaway, but $700 is still cheaper than driving down and bringing one back up yourself.

>>
>>34186533
First: It's against the law for information on private citizens like that to be transferred. They would have to make their new registries from scratch.

Second: As long as Section 91 of the Criminal Code exists, firearm related penalties are FEDERAL JURISDICTION. At most, a province will be able to fine you for failure to register. If non-compliance was ~50% for the previous LGR, what do you think it's going to be for these toothless provincial LGR's?

Third: MOTHERFUCKERS SPECIFICALLY PROMISED NO LGR DURING THE ELECTION! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

WHEN was she diagnosed and is she being treated for it currently?

If it was over five years ago, she's fine. If it is within the last five years have her fill out this form:

>It doesn't directly effect gun rights. Sometimes we talk about other stuff on this board.
I know, and I'm actually alright with that, but the post I was quoting seemed to imply that they did directly effect it.

Also closing the borders wouldn't be likely to help stop terrorist attacks by any significant amount, since both at home and abroad most of the terrorists have been native born citizens, with the next largest group being migrant workers, who are probably the least screened group out of all immigrants (and something we don't have a lot of here in Canada, unless you out maritimers heading to the oil fields). The oft maligned refugees are actually the group with the least number of terrorists popping up from them, with next to none, if not an actual zero.

And hell, I want more defence spending, our government treats the military with supreme neglect, no matter who's in charge, so it's kinda a good thing that Trump is such a clown that everyone in NATO is talking about spending more money just because they don't think they can rely on him

>>34186732
>>34186741
It cost over a BILLION dollars actually, and that's not even tallying up the money it cost gun owners having to register at $50 a rifle and $80 a restricted. And the theoretical benefits of a registry (being able to track down stolen guns, straw purchases, and shit, to potentially reduce the illegal arms trade) aren't really enough to justify the privacy violation or the expense, not to mention that they hardly use it for that anyway.
>>
>>34187302
>since both at home and abroad most of the terrorists have been native born citizens,

Plenty of recent attacks in Europe and the UK have been either recent migrants, or more often, yes, native born... but they're born of refugees or muslim immigrants. It's disingenuous to say "Oh, it's mostly Western natives who commit terror." It's not Johnny Englishman, it's second generation islamic transplants.

Closing the borders now won't immediately stop all terror today, but it will prevent it in the near future.

I have that kind of fun. I just don't advertise it all over the fucking place like some people.

It's not paranoia if they're actually out to get you. If you talk about explosives, antigovernment shit, firearms, etc, you tend to get put on lists. Maybe not high priority lists, but priorities change.
>>
>>34188843
Yeah, I'm curious as to how they will word that without running into a huge headache of federal vs provincial jurisdiction. Even if it's meant for Quebec it would have affects on the other provinces who could challenge it if it included something like criminal charges for enforcing provincial laws. Who knows, maybe it'll set some weird precedence, or, in my wildest dreams, all registries become provincial rather than federal. I'd much rather have an Alberta handgun registry than a federal one
>>
>>34188527
Nigger people are planning meets specifically avoiding you. Time to take a hint.

I always thought that the feds bringing it into criminal law instead of leaving it to the provinces brought the same kind of issues we had with federal criminal prohibition on alcohol vs provincial regulation and with the "war on drugs" vs focusing on a regulatory framework.

Unfortunately, I bet old Ralphy is just going to give the provinces for a second registry without giving away any federal power

A lot of NDP supporters don't really feel that the NDP is all that great. Especially since Layton died.
>>
>>34189217
>supporting the man and not the ideology
This is why NDP supporters are a joke.
>>
>>34189103
well i assume that they'll send out letters, but again what difference does it really make?
>>
>>34189201

The NDP shifted harder to the left after Layton died senpai.

>relying on receiving letters in being told you're going to get ass raped

Guess we know who is going to be no funs soon.
>>
>>34189326
i follow the news so i'd know anyways, but im saying that even the pay no attention fudds would probably hear about it because of that

again, what difference does it make?

whether you know long in advance before having your guns taken away or a short while you still have your guns taken away

>whether you know long in advance before having your guns taken away or a short while you still have your guns taken away
Not him, but if you know long in advance you can "sell" your (unregistered) guns so they won't be getting grabbed. You can also be the victim of a burglary and have your registered guns stolen.

If there is ever a mass disarmament, you'll be needing those guns.

>>34189941
It's not being autistic, it's being able to see through socialist apologia.

>he was such a great guy, I'd love to gobble his cock any day
>but I don't share his worldview and I definitely don't support his politics
>you believe me, right guys?

It's as retarded as saying "Hitler was a pretty great guy, I don't agree with any of his politics or views fundamental to his entire life, but I love the man". If you're going to be measuring a person with something as vague and expansive as "who they are", you sure as shit don't get to divorce their political views from that equation.

stop being so autistic, it's a dumb trope you see all the time, you know what he means

yes it's a stupid thing to say but don't pretend you don't get it or that the point your making wasn't already completely obvious

Looked it up based on the year and such, found this:

http://canfirearms.ca/Skeeter/Buckner/Response.html

In terms of official stuff from the Canadian government I'm having difficulty finding the exact document that it originates from. The farthest any government document goes is 1979 on the Canadian Government website. The CPAC website only goes back as far as 2003.

I got that image off of the Authorization to Carry Facebook page.

Its more than just "slightly more fun", being able transition between 6 different targets and putting multiple rounds on each is infinitely more fun than only be able to shoot 5rds at one target. It might be okay if its a bolt action but it sucks all the fun right of semi autos and ill be darned if i go back. Just to spite the cops in going to equip a bolt action with a Pedersen device and trench mag.

i think they're going to get into your house if you let them in or not

correct me if i'm wrong but what i think you're suggesting is that if they ban guns and institute a mandatory order to surrender them that you should fight the police to the death, which isn't a good idea for people who have families to take care of even if they were convicted enough to follow through with such a deed

If they're breaking into everyone's homes then yes you fight them to the death cause by then they've clearly gone full blown police state, more than it is now. And if you have a family you better fucking keep your guns cause your children will definitely need them, dont you want to be able to protect your family? How do you expect to do that when every criminal know much less people are armed and get emboldened? What happens when the rcmp doesnt stop at guns and bans knives and shit? Youre really telling me you wouldn't fight and die for what you believe in and.for your childrens future? Youre ancestors would. Unless theyre cucks like you
