What kind of sling attachment points do you have? If you can rig up some paracord I can loan you some simple 2 point slings. If you have QD points I have a MS4 in the box that I would also consider handing out.

Also don't worry about the sling. I'm going to get a snickers eventually. In the meantime I'll just be careful, but honestly I doubt I'll get a brandishing charge just hiking in the woods with it in my hands.
Also you're right about integrated knee pads. They are the way to go for light/medium usage. Next pair of pants I'll get with be the LAPG ones and then a pair of integrated pads for like $8.
>“an NFA firearm has not necessarily been made when the device is not reconfigured for use as a shoulder stock – even if the attached firearm happens to be fired from the shoulder. To the extent that the January 2015 Open Letter implied or has been construed to hold that incidental, sporadic, or situational “use” of an arm-brace (in its original approved configuration) equipped firearm from a firing position at or near the shoulder was sufficient to constitute “redesign,” such interpretations are incorrect and not consistent with ATF’s interpretation of the statute or the manner in which it has historically been enforced.”
http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/04/24/breaking-news-update-atf-reversal-letter-sb-tactical/
From what I can tell the status of the cheek saddle plus shockwave is the same as it was before this letter. It is not a redesign of the brace before, and it is not a redesign now. Want to brace from the cheek? No problem. Want to brace from the forearm? No problem. Accidentally shoulder it? Now not a problem.

Long way off though. For now I'm just focused on filing my stoll off

I was shooting A2s SBR the other weekend and it just felt right. I think it had something to do with the gloves since it was the first time I handled his rifle with gloves on.
The nub kept my hand from sliding around vertically.
Bump for AR grips with finger nub like A2 and MIAD.
>>33974421
how many boxes of that you got left?
>>33975214
I can't do it, my finger falls right on top of the nub. I like a nice thicc grip with a relatively steep angle and 4 flat sides

Times are tough atm and I need cash, is selling my AR under a trump presidency that bad of an idea? I know I won't get much out of it, but they will be highly abundant for some time now
Boring thread topic desu

Fabulous, isn't it?
>>33976074
That can't be right. It shouldn't be dirty if it doesn't "shit where it eats." It's got so much less powder to turn into carbon than .223, also.

a stolen KAC micro sight
What's the best prebuilt AR I can get on a budget? Something like $600, preferably with the option for an optic in the future.
>>33976367
colt
>>33976371
Aren't they typically quite a bit more than $600?
>>33976367
A PSA upper with a CHF barrel. Don't get anything from PSA that isn't CHF though.

Thanks fampai.

I can finally play
Need to replace my scope, I got a Vortex on the side just waiting to save up for scope mount and bipod mount. Debating whether to get the monopod while I'm at it.

there's only so much I can do to save the normies from themselves
Considering to put a Mk12 mod 0 style sight (probably something cheaper than PRI) out on the barrel past the end of the free float tube, not acting as a gas block at all but just as a flip up sight.
This is going to be my first AR without a pinned FSB and concerned about sights mounted on the handguard losing its zero since it has no hard connection to the barrel.
is this even worth worrying about?
Also would anyone actually notice

Everything you just said is no

What's involved in turning an sp1 into a more accurate "clone" than it already is?
>>33978118
just leave it as is
>>33977629
is something you sell? never shot match ammo, kinda curious
>>33978118
What kind of clone are you trying to make? I'd say that altering it will affect resale value, but I've done plenty to my AR to make it what I want; value be damned.
>>33977660
Take it. What are the details of the trade? Will I stop having to see your gross Ruger "A2" front sight post?
Did anyone buy new G rail yet?
>>33978118
Throw it in the garbage and build a proper block II
>>33977631
>>33977638
I like it. I also like the Arsenal Democracy one, but it's a bit busy.
>>33976363
how about the rig? what is that?
>>33978311
I meant make it more similar to a military rifle of the same era.
Have the right handguard and carry handle, grip, and I assume stock.
Are the "small" lower parts correct? (selector, mag release, takedown pins, etc..) right?
No forward assist on an sp1, obviously, but very early m16 didn't have them either.
"Slabside" lower, that was very early

I'll give the 2 or 3hrs to call, otherwise i'm calling back.

Were you polite?
Was ordering a Colt AR15A4 a mistake?
I already own a reasonably priced, practical AR. I wanted this purely because I think it's sexy.
>>33978118
even if you get a 603 upper it'll still say 'SP1' on the lower so I wouldnt do anything to it
its more valuable unmolested anyways
>>33978281
>is something you sell?

its good shooting stuff, easily can get under 1 moa if you put in your part. terminal ballistics are quite impressive as well
>>33978972
>Was ordering a Colt AR15A4 a mistake?
if you dont put a KAC RAS on it, yes.

Blue force gear essentials
https://www.blueforcegear.com/essential-kit.html
now that I have a 10.3 barrel for my pistol, what handguard should I acquire next?
I'm torn between getting a KAC drop in for the CQBR effect, but I also really like the C4 carbine cutout rail and it's free float.
thoughts?
>>33979602
KAC only if you can't find the Centurion Mk18 clone

Why have you written 308 on your mag?

Because if you put a KAC RAS on it, then it becomes an M16A4 clone.
