Don't ditch the Acog. Just look at your ammo supplies and make a list of what you need most. Sportsman Guide has Wolf Gold cheap if you order 2k, and you'd probably be able to get 1k 9mm Wolf poly on top of that for a little more over the 700.

After the election I still buy ammo first if i come into extra money, whether it's 22lr, 223, or hunting calibers.

so it turns out that the reason i was having a problem with my burris mount was because the screw was too tall and would touch the base of the 1913 before the base of the mount did.

i just sanded down the screw a bit and not it looks like i don't need the adm mount.

Ok I gotcha. It's not that the A5 has issues it's that if there is an issue it'll most likely be the spring. So to be safe it would be prudent to have an extra spring.

What about extractor springs? Some people change out to BCM but I've also heard that sprinco makes a good extractor spring. They sell a set for a replacement A5 and extractor spring. That's what I should get.

Found a possible spot. Maybe 100 yards if you push it. Accessible by a 20 minute hike, or if you want to do some 4 wheeling you can drive right up to it. Problem is it is pretty close to an off highway vehicle 4 wheeling trail, so it might be busy with jeeps during the summer.
