don't be a cuck and buy an AR soon

A) you will be a one more AR owner and that makes any serious fuckery with ARs less likely
B) the maple peso just tanked, so current stock is as cheap as it will get for a while, next time dealers restock, prices will go up, so might as well buy now
C) if some fuckery does happen, you will most likely get grandfathered into some bullshity AR-owning license, while newfags won't be able into AR
>inB4 country-wide confiscation -- they didn't do it for AKs and those are far less popular than ARs have been (which is likely why ARs got an exemption for service rifle/milsport shooting, but AK didn't) too much stink from all of the older rich AR-fags who have 10-20k put into their raifus, not worth the public outrage and massive well-funded puchback campaign

I know, I know
also, agree, he is taller than Turd-eau which will play very well on camera and in debates and with his blue eyes and big smile, also handsome as fuuuuuuuck, in a manly way, not the faggy Trudeau way.
Also he's always smiling and very energetic, which is fucking great, and again a lot more assertive sort of positive, not the beta cuck apologetic positivity that Trudeau projects

He just needs to fix his accent a bit to the point where people whose send language is English and who no-abla French, won't need to strain to understand him -- sort of the Chretien level, I feel like Max's French accent is a bit too heavy still.

Lemieux kinda pissed me off with the supply management thing. I grew up in agricultural areas and supply management certainly wasn't helping most farmers there. Agropur and Saputo love it, but the smaller guys suffer big time.

I don't like him on that, but I like his pro free speech and pro life stance (although the latter would hurt in a general election desu.)

We would like to try and produce good quality parts however the reality is we will be a small start up company and we will probably be stuck doing small batches for a while. But we will do our best to have the best over all quality we can achieve for the best price we can offer.. We all want to build an AR without breaking the bank.
>>33775224
We feel the same way. Building ARs is fun but cost prohibitive thanks to the government. We would like to bring that to Canada. We would also like to build AKs if Mad Max fixes our classification system.
>>
>>33775401
Might I suggest making something like 9mm AR's?
>>
>>33775414
Anything is possible. Unfortunately we will be limited in what we will be able to produce. For example barrels are by far the most costly thing to produce. But we could make 9mm compatible lowers.
But we hope to at some point be able to build full AR-15s without importing any parts.

I'm 33 now, and been paying attention to politics since I could vote, but I never had any hopes for Trudeau. He obviously got the leadership spot by making a deal with party establishment, since for the most part he's just a pretty face.

Frankly I've pretty much been twisting in the wind since Jack Layton passed on. The NDP is basically leaderless. The Liberals aren't doing anything about most of the shit that sucked under Harper (like bills to spy on us, and shit). But if the Tories rally under someone reasonable like Bernier, who doesn't want to fuck with anyone's rights, then they'll have my vote next election.

FAMAS sucks. I mean, I can't fault you for wanting to have one just because (especially for the automatic feature), but I was unimpressed with the design when I fucked around with them briefly in the Legion. The safety/fire selector position is annoying in that you can turn it one way with your firing hand, but you need to jump your support hand back to the trigger guard to turn it the other way. Alternatively, you can jam your firing hand thumb inside too but it's awkward. No bolt hold open. Proprietary mags. Fixed irons so if you want optics you lose your cheekweld. And the stupid fucking bipod rattles and likes to swing open if you snag it on bushes.

Otherwise, it's really quite a handy and balanced little rifle. Not as much readjustment as you'd expect coming from an AR platform (at least, for manlets; taller people might have a harder time).

Nah, that sort of 'win at any cost' attitude is how the US ended up with a complete idiot in charge. Where winning the election mattered more than electing someone competent (literally any other Republican candidate would have been less of a fuckup).

We're just lucky we got Mad Max instead of O'loser, so they can't do any more harm than they usually do (ie: increasing polarization among both sides of the electorate, adding to the erosion of fact-based governance, and generally decreasing discourse and cooperation between the all parties involved).

Wasted millions of taxpayer dollars on vacations (this is an issue because the GOP complained about how much Obama went on vacation, as well as Trump tweeting about his golfing trips, and then the lot of them being silent when he makes no apparent effort to do more work). Most of which are not 'working weekends' where he schmoozes people on the golf course.

He flies off the handle based on bad information which he gets from unconfirmed sources, going on twitter rants, or even making public addresses based on said information. Causing general havoc in the world diplomatic scene, and on more than one occasion causing private enterprises to suffer. He's still in hot water over the Obama spying allegations, but probably more importantly, when he fucked up Boeing's stock prices on twitter, because he doesn't like the price of the plane he's buying, he's showing a distinct lack of tact and business sense. Whether it was a mistake or part of a 'cunning strategy' to renegotiate the price, it's going to make people more wary and less trusting with him in the future.

He appointed a politician to the National Security Council, that is to say someone who's entire purpose there was political and offered no practical benefit to the security of the nation via some expert knowledge or experience on a matter pertinent to the issue. While at the same time demoted some of those actual experts from the Council. You might have heard of one of them, he's called "The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff"! Normally this council (under Obama, Under Bush 1 and 2, etc.) shies away from political BS because it's job is protecting the US.
>>
>>33782326
>>33782542
Then there was his first 'suggested' budget (since only Congress can actually decide on one) which panned. His plans to change Obamacare, which failed. His totally not a muslim ban (which he said was definitely a muslim ban at a rally) which failed twice. His wall which is going to be at least half a trillion dollars (very optimistic, and doesn't include the cost of the infrastructure needed to put the wall up, which basically requires you to build a second wall on its side, ie: a road, along the entire length of the construction effort), and it's been explained hundreds of times already that tariffs on things coming from Mexico doesn't actually make them pay for it, since the costs will be shouldered by American consumers.

Oh yeah, and a link for this... because there's more to it than just wasting taxpayer money, he's also fucking up local businesses in these places he goes on vacation.

Nope, reality.

The director of National Intelligence and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff were 'demoted' such that they would only attend Principals Committee meetings (of the National Security Council) only when "issues pertaining to their responsibilities and expertise are to be discussed,". Meanwhile the 'font of wisdom' Steve Bannon was given complete access to the Council meetings. Does that make sense to you?

Who gives a fuck about good boy Trump in a maple /k/ thread? He will be ok for US gun rights, probably just keep everything as-is. On everything else, he failed to deliver domestically and did a 180 internationally, he betrayed his base and his only saving grace now is that he is marginally less competent at carrying out the same agenda Clinton promised (which he is at this time, you have to be meme-level informed or desperately willfully ignorant to still say he's playing 4D chess and draining the swamp, etc.) You also have to be a brainwashed huffpo-salon cock-guzzling libshit to talk about nepotism and fucking danger of tyranny in US, "literally Hitler" is so two months ago! >I'm guessing old guys that never registered them

A lot of LEGAL guns were never even registered. If you go rummaging around in just about any barn across Canada, you'll probably find an old Cooey rifle that was never registered (Hell, tons of them never had serial numbers written on them).

>>33784130
he's RCMP
>>
>>33784130
He got it from his "guy" who rebuilds and sells FALs under the table, or some shit. Probably has other hookups, seeing as how there's a lot of unregistered stuff floating around in decent, non-criminal people's hands.

Or he's RCMP. Take your pick.
>>
>>33784130
Nailed it. Old fudds who don't want to see their guns destroyed by the RCs. So I'm more than happy to give them a new home.
>>
>>33784116
You can't argue that point anon, he'll come back with "but he talked about banning Muslims reee" until you give up.
>>
>>33784175
I know that, my dad never registered a few of his guns ke just kept in a cabin in the middle of nowhere he used for just shooting squirrels. I'm just wondering if the people selling them knew they were prohibited.

>LEGAL
Yeah they would have been legal prohibs if they were registered... Which would be illegal.
>>
>>33784224
I know someone who had a .25 or .32 ACP mouse gun (given to him by a friend for protection), but god knows where that ended up. Probably in a shoe box somewhere amid all the clutter. Hope none of the anti-gun family members are the ones who find it. Shit might be museum material for all I know.

Yeah he golfs too much and he's a brash prick but it's hardly a disaster.

I've always been more of a manual action guy. What's your recommendation for a 7.62x39 caliber manual action rifle?

not sure why you're asking me, but I will do my best:
probably the best bang for your buck would be the CZ 527

there is the only marginally cheaper Zastava M85, but not only is its fit and finish worse, it has a number of reported failures that are fairly unpleasant (most common being not firing with harder or surplus primers, but also some issues with gritty bolt, broken extractors and other qc stuff most would find unacceptable)

best price for be CZ always moves depending on sale. you might find it cheaper but I think this is fairly decent for the moment:

Doesn't Savage also make one in 7.62x39?
>>
>>33787573
Post is correct I own a zastava m85 buddy owns cz527

My bolt has worn in nicely but was rough the first 500 rounds. I've experienced none of the other issues listed.

Just pay the extra money for the cz

Worth or no?

I really want to get into firearms and express my rights to own them but I'm completely unfamiliar with pricing and reputable places to go for the certifications.

Savage used to make one the 10 FCM Scout, but haven't made any rifles in 7.62x39 since they discontinued their FCM Scout line of rifles.

Do the RCMP ever come and check to make sure safe storage of firearms? Anyone have any tales?

Apparently owning over 10 restricteds or buying too many in a short period of time will warrant an inspection from the RCMP. I've never heard of it happening to anyone tho.

Just be aware that our government doesn't share those views. Legally, firearms are a privilege, something that can be taken away at the stroke of a pen.

Nah, O'Leary realized that even if he won the Conservatice leadership, he'd still lose the next election. Therefore, he's decided that it's in his best business interests to have someone like Bernier win the leadership and likely the next election as well.
