besides, if you want to get illegal funs I'm sure you can find a way on Tor, not that I'm advising it but it's well known that The Onion Router is the number 1 way of acquiring illegal things in general

I browse Tor for fun and saw some listings for RPGs for under 2 Bitcoins. Is it a scam? I don't know, nor do I care. It's not like I'm going to buy it, but knowing how easy it would be is fun

I suggest reading The Iceman, true crime novel (one of my favorites) before considering any crimes on this level because it will surely talk you out of it knowing how dangerous it is especially considering how much forensics has advanced over the years since the events of the novel

Best compact / folding rifle or shotgun?

My favourite place to shoot in the mountains is no longer car accessible, so I want to hike up instead. Something that fits in a backpack seems ideal.

Looking at Sub 2000 right now but they seem hard to find in stock. I don't want a .22 as I don't find them enjoyable to shoot

This, Maxime Bernier may not say and do everything we wish for in his policies. However, his other policies are fantastic as well. The last thing we need is someone with great firearm policies but is poison in every other way.

Canada ammo gets it in very very seldomly.
If there where actual guns chambered in it available here getting ammo would not be a problem.
So far the the only gun for regular sale here that uses 5.45 is the XCR-L and I don't even know if they still make the 5.45 conversion kits.

How would I go about upgrading my Non-Res PAL to an RPAL? I know I need to take the course for it, but whats the paperwork for it like afterwards? Do i need to wait until my PAL is up for renewal?
>>
>>33489289
Trust me $150 more for a used vz58 is well worth it.

>>33489294
Same paperwork as the first time, except there's a field for your old PAL #, and check the RPAL box.
There is no 30 day mandatory wait AFAIK but they may still call your refs.
>>
>>33489294
>>33489309
>Do i need to wait until my PAL is up for renewal?
No and if you were issued your PAL in the last year I think they refund you most of the processing cost.
>>
>>33489309
>used vz58
The hard part is finding one for a decent price, even used. People on the CGN EE ask way too fucking much, sometimes more than the guns are worth.

Also, aren't CZ 858s supposed to be the better between the two types of vz58 we get here?
>>
>>33489333
The 858s were made mostly with surplus parts, and some might have the "gremlin" issue, though most should've been fixed by now. VZ58s are built using all new parts, hence the higher price.
>I love mine
>>
>>33489333
Most CZ 858 are surplus rifles made from parts but they almost always have a hard chrome bore which is easier to clean after corrosive ammo.

CSA/CZ 58 are new production modern guns, more expensive, usually come with a side rail, never have a chrome bore.

WR 672 Fully Canadian made rifles yet to come to market, non-chrome but nitride finish in and out.

You have that all backwards, cz 858s with the long barrels were never chrome lined and all CSA have chrome bores. I don't know about the original barrel length cz 858s, they are probably chrome lined though if they used original barrels.

As a yuropoor Dutchfag, it'll be my first time in a country with (relatively) loose gun laws so I wanna finally shoot something other than .22lr. Anyone in the area know any places where I could go shooting, or anyone in the area down to hang out and go shooting?
>>
>>33489289
all you have to do to an sks to make it a functionalcombat rifle is grind the bolt to let you remove mags when it's closed and maybe hack something together or buy something so you can cut the duckbills off the tapco 20rd magazines, or maybe those new archangel 35rdmags idk

the bolt mod is the only permanent modification

you can get whatever aftermarket stock you want, or just use the stock one with the dents and shitty chipped shellac because if you can't bare the shame of letting people see the $220 rifle you bought isn't a collector's item

Everything else can be undone. A better mag release and a Deluxe-Combat-Style-Butt to help with LOP if you go the route of pretending out of moronic fudd shame a mismatched, rearsenaled, barbecue-painted one of millions piece of obsolete russian shit is worth collecting

either way fuck off, the rifles aren't worth shit for collecting and $200 is an amazing price for a good shooter

$35-50ea mags
$30 mag release
$5 file

$???+++ ammo
$?? dunno, maybe springs, a recoil spring stop or whatever the fuck it's called and a brake

the design just sucks and its like at most a 1 moa with top of the line parts then it'll beat itself apart.
as a plinking gun in 7.62x39 thats a not bad one though.
>>
>>33492944
It's reliable for most average shooters, though you're definitely right about it not being the most accurate rifle. If someone wants a precision rifle there are much better alternatives. That being said, the basic Chinese model can be improved upon a lot, and still end up cheaper than a basic US one.

As someone who has looked around for 20" ARs they are a very hard to find. Outside of Norinco 20" AR-15s and buying an upper with a 20" barrel you're out of luck.

Unless you spend an exorbitant amount of money importing a 20" barrel AR-15 from the US.

You have to do BMQ and BMQ-L before you do any courses related to howitzers. Both of those courses will teach you "normal soldier shit". L is a lot more fun however, as that is the infantry training course basically.
Wednesday nights usually consist of random shit, either map work, cleaning, lectures, sometimes basic patrolling shit
After you have done DP1 (basically your howitzer course) you can also learn mortars which is apparently more fun.
There are lots of opportunities to train on the howitzers and mortars in the states, but straight infantry shit is less common

At the end of the day, if you tell your chain of command what opportunities you want, you habe a good attendance record and you push hard, you can do a lot of shit that isnt related to arty at all, such as doing a jump course or winter warfare

Can't legally get it in Canada without it. As they had to lengthen the barrel to meet legal requirements. So they spruced it up so it didn't have a shiny barrel sticking out of the frame.
>>
>>33519253
ah cool. was looking to get one eventually and I wanted it to be with the comp.

yea it clamps on the barrel so you need to have the 5" model ( versus the 3.45" wich would be prohib)
>>33519299
This is the older P22 , now they make the P22Q
I got my P22 for like 50$ worth of jerk , but it was a bag of parts

if you want a pic(kle) without the comp i think i have one

Figured I'd try here before /diy/. Anyone know where I could find barrel inletting tools in Canada? I know there is Brownell's in the states, but I'd rather stay within the border. Less of a hassle. So far my all I've got are chisels, rasps, and a 1" diameter dowel with sandpaper.
>>
>>33522841
It might ot be ITAR controlled ...
Your best bet is to go to your LGS , They will be able to import small parts and shit like this.
Ive ordered shotgun parts, acraglass and other poo poo through them (they do a slight markup but it is a hell of a lot easier and faster)

CSA models are vastly superior, and mostly come with chrome-barrels (but make sure it does).
CZs have the gremlin, god-awful machining marks, and shit-tier finish.

They couldn't pull of a full grab with what clout they have, compared to motivated gun owners in the voting booth. They win nobody, and lose gun owners that might still vote for them. That being said, I'd be surprised if they didn't repeal C-42.

They're pretty fun, although I probably would have recommended a quality bolt-action if you're new to shooting sports. There's just something magical about .22 bolt guns and I can't put a finger on why.

The only money in wolf pelts is if you get them tanned and sell them as a decoration/curiosity. If you do a perfect job on a coyote and send it to fur action you'll get $100 at best.

A day late but that's me.
The podcast thing was a trial to see if people liked it.
I don't know if I should do a second with the same questions and different people or come up with some different questions and different people. That's if I do one at all.

I've been trying to get stuff together for a guide to understanding the RPAL process but I landed a job where I work crazy hours and have no time to do much other than browse my favorite thread and chat with my buddies for a bit.

This. I started with a 10/22, and didn't get me wrong, it's a ton of fun, but during a range trip recently a guy let me shoot his cz 452 with a Nikon scope, it was like cheating with how accurate it was. I was trying to zero my 10/22 tech sights for 50 meters and had shots going everywhere.
