Any M2 Ball spec ammo will be ok with the original gas plug. Your options are surplus or PPU/Federal modern ammo made to m2 ball specs.

I have a garand gear gas plug that allows you to use modern ammo without running the risk of btfo your op rod.

It's not adjustable like other gas plugs which I prefer.
