Literally no Trijicon optics have to be covered.

ACOG reticles are etched into the prism inside the optic, they work with or without illumination.

RMRs are projected reticles, they are nothing but illumination. If you covered the collector, you'd have no dot.

Be forewarned that I had a lot of trouble with the Apex kit back when the CORE first came out. Apex hadn't made a CORE-specific version, so my trigger had a fucked up break and even more creep than the Pro trigger. I went back and forth a lot with Apex, who were really helpful, but ultimately sent the trigger back for a refund. Apex offered to accept my gun for testing so they could make a CORE-specific trigger but I declined because reasons.

tl;dr The CORE trigger is somehow different from the regular M&P and a normal Apex trigger may not work.

Screw liked to come loose unless you torqued the shit out of it, and for no reason at all it wouldn't actually loosen the mount when you unscrewed it sometimes, the other block would just stay in place and you'd have to screw it back down then undo it again to get it to actually loosen

Minor complaints really but you can get an MVG for cheaper so there's no reason to deal with Troy's bullshit

Traded my CETME for a franken AR. This thing was fucked. Looks like somebody tried to install the FSP with a dremel. FSP was canted and held on with the broken tip of a punch. Barrel nut and buffer tube weren't even tightened all the way, they were just flopping around. Missing rear take down detent spring and safety detent spring. Bolt catch sticks a little in the up position. The flash hider was canted and the crush washer was installed backwards.

The guy had a UTG rail and scope on it.
