Actually there are vast amounts of combat picture. The difficult part is finding ones that aren't frequently posted. I'll give it a shot.

Of course... when the enemy is shooting at you you are a damn fool to be standing there taking pictures instead of holding a gun, so unless the camera guy is working for the news the pics that surface afterwards are hardly masterpieces.

I think we have had this conversation before. But essentially, a nazi is a member of NSDAP, the National Sosialistic German Workers' Party. Even in 1945, there was still only about 10% of the German population who were members. Unless you say the entire population were nazis because the NSDAP had the government, but in that cause the entire US population are currently republicans. Just as the entire US population were democrats half a year ago. Kinda rough.

The Wehrmacht was a conscript army. If you was the right age, you joined the ranks or you was jolly well thrown in prison. The Waffen SS was based on ideology, volunteers and optimal aryan background. Until the losses started to mount and everyone old enough to hold a gun were dragged in there.

Compare this with the current US marines. You have to volunteer. You probably can't be a hippie. But once you have the uniform, you go where the politicians want to. And for as many tours as the pleases them. Still don't make you a republican just for joining under the present president.

All I think about whenever I see pictures of krauts is how disastrous their supply lines were and how low volume their industry was. That's all I can even think about in some of these pictures. They just couldn't replace what little equipment they had once they lost it, and it makes me unsettled. It's just interesting to me how much of a industrial advantage the US and Soviets had compared to the Germans.

Hesco are the natural evolution of sandbag forts, traditional gabions etc. They are cheap, they don't waste enormous amounts of manual labor to construct, they made effective walls to greater height than traditional sandbags, and lend themselves to everything from war to emergency levee construction.

My PERSONAL definition of a nazi is someone who, under cover of the state, uses his position to be cruel, overzealous, abusive, dishonorable, unfaithful to his country. WWII was, by and large, a series of military exercises carried out by different nations with very few shots fired. There were some skirmishes and theres authentic documentation of some casualties, but most of the "dead" were the result of disease and famine in eastern bloc countries. Most of the footage of destruction is recycled over and over again from different angles to make it look like the conflict was more destructive than it was.

People will argue, but they can't prove otherwise because they weren't there. They've been conditioned by 70 years of nonstop shilling, "veterans" on TV, etc.
