I'd assume the feds would be well equipped but their logistics would be trashed due to shtf, so, I'd scrape up all the shit they'd need for food and a bed. Because I doubt their squads will be too worried about picking up pound after pound of gear they run across if they're still going to be fighting later. It'll just be a real life version of my Fallout playthroughs.

This is why people who put some thought and effort in to preparing for real SHTF take steps to be out of sight for at least 6 months or better yet one full winter season after the habbening..

If it really happens life on earth will be absolute hell, like back into tribal warfare for every meal. Being able to join the game six months into it well fed, completely rested well armed with plenty of ammo and good coms thanks to those solar cells your friends laughed at you for buying and spending all that time learning about.
