What would /k/ do if there was a situation as in The Division? Go innawoods, or become a division agent?
Also general prep thread, all BOBs and innawoods gear welcome.
Then appeal to who needs weapons/ammo/gear the most. I'd assume the feds would be well equipped but their logistics would be trashed due to shtf, so, I'd scrape up all the shit they'd need for food and a bed. Because I doubt their squads will be too worried about picking up pound after pound of gear they run across if they're still going to be fighting later. It'll just be a real life version of my Fallout playthroughs.
depends on the situation.
>full total break down
attempt to restore order with locals offer security.
>absolute blowout w/no chance of order.
A few ex-SOF offered to group up with me.
offer off my kits and get my family out of dodge.
This is why people who put some thought and effort in to preparing for real SHTF take steps to be out of sight for at least 6 months or better yet one full winter season after the habbening..
If it really happens life on earth will be absolute hell, like back into tribal warfare for every meal. Being able to join the game six months into it well fed, completely rested well armed with plenty of ammo and good coms thanks to those solar cells your friends laughed at you for buying and spending all that time learning about. Advantages like no other game hack in history.Especially in the USA where less than 5% can get by without a grocery store.
Honestly I'd hunker down in my house, everyone and their grandma are going to try to go innawoods. I'd rather defend my house from the occasional raider instead of carrying all my SHTF supplies somewhere else.
I am a a 2ic in a armored infantry platoon, so I guess I wouldn't even be in the game since apparently there is no military in it.
Man, the ignorance is so fucking annoying. Are you aware that there's women performing admirably in Special Forces occupations all over the world? Just like male characteristics lend themselves well to certain types of special operations, so to do female characteristics. The whole 'hurr durr women can't be useful in special operations' meme reeks of insecurity and inferiority.
the amount of experience you would gain in the first 6 months if you survived a heavily populated area would make you eat preppers alive. there is no way they could hang after emerging from their bunkers 6 months in. it would be like newborns trying to hunt alongside prime cheetah.
As well as their families.
Since I got it, I would be fine.
>walk around neked in full combat gear
>shit on anyone who freezes up trying to rob me
>become a mercenary
>only help out those who can give me a good feeling helping them out
>like marauders and looters
>because gold and ammo give me the best feelings
>begin barricading my home and boarding windows once I have official confirmation that it's happening
>make a checklist of ammo, food and water/provisions
>get comfy with my dog
>turn on tv and watch my country burn
>face goes numb from smiling
Yeah, I plan on bugging in initially. Once the power goes out, I'll probably head to a factory I used to work at that stores solar generators and commandeer a few.
Well seeing as I've had a transplant, and need meds (the kind that are hard to find, and cost an ass load) I would probably die with in a few months. So fucking go crazy, and see where that takes me.
No. I've been in the military for almost 6 years. No smallpox vaccine (they recently stopped doing that), even before a deployment to Afghanistan. Anthrax, yes, but not smallpox.
>In the game, the outbreak is smallpox, isn't it? There's going to be a large segment of older people still around because they got the cow pox vaccine back in the day.
Smallpox vaccines last for a limited time (4-5) years I believe
This. I live in the woods outside of town and have dried food, as well as a good stock pile of staples like beans and rice and a personal garden. Shit happens and I'm going to the gas station to top off my diesel supply and then staying home with the family for a couple months while the world burns.
Sit down and /becosy/ watching the shit on the tele because I'm from the UK and no dindus are fucking up my country.
This tbqh. It's 2016. Women are allowed in combat roles. The IDF has female conscripts. Not quite sure where all the misogyny is coming from. We don't need men mansplaining about combat, thank you very much.
There's an open beta starting on thursday. I played the closed beta. It was awesome, but a bit limited compared to what the full game will be.
Played the closed beta thing two weeks ago.
Literally roll around narrow by streets and blast nigs.
Most mobs are a bit bullet spongy, not much to do outside blast nigs.
6/10, not worth full msrp, buy it when it's on the steam sale this winter.
in a few more years I'll have my /out kit assembled and a dmr of some kind. At that point I'll bug out and disappear into the hills. I've lived in forests all my life so it'd basically be going home for me.
>Played the closed beta thing
i bought the pre order on PS4 and it "guaranteed" me access to play the beta game.
but how the fuck do i get to play it though?. I didn't get a link or anything. and the game hasn't downloaded yet
