Why do glocks suck so much cock /k/ post here with why. In a debate currently.
Imagine having an muscle car in all steel. The curves, the sound, the feel... romantic.
Now imagine a smaller car, made of lighter materials, and with a cheaper tag come out and you now have to drive it.
It's not that it's a piece of shit. It's actually a good car.... but it feels like shit.
They dont though.
They are some of the most reliable, affordable, and accurate guns you can buy. Some people shoot them once and don't like them, which is fine. Whats retarded is the people who decide since they dont like them that their life is now a mission to shit on them every chance they get.
I really don like the beretta PX4 series of guns, but its not that they are bad, they just arent for me. The reason I dont reeeeee about it on a daily basis is because I'm not a raging homosexual like yourself, anon.
My opinion shooting lots of glocks
Sights are goofy yet work
Trigger ain't the best but it works
Takedown is extremely easy and very fast
Cleaning is very easy and fast
It's reliable as all fuck
Hardly ever needs cleaning
It just fucking works
The exploding glock meme only pertains to one certain caliber in one certain generation so any gen 4 will be explosion free
Not my favorite gun but I've yet to shoot one that didn't work
>unironically compare a means of transport to a means of protection
yeah a civic is better for your wallet, the only thing a challenger is better for is advertising to the world how insecure you are about your penis
put the drop in the bucket
am I a fag for liking the open sights on the 92fs? they are narrow so I get a better sight picture rather than having the sights competely obscure the africans i'm trying to eliminate
>better for is advertising to the world how insecure you are about your penis
Friend, do you know where you are? And how many times I hear that shit about how owning a gun means you have a tiny penis?
fuck off kid.
the only people who think glocks are shit are nogunz, and super special snowflake fedora tippers who need to have a classy hipster gun that expresses their oh so interesting personality.
>limited to one caliber in one generation
Except it's not. My brother-in-law's Glock 21SF (gen 3, .45 caliber, obviously) exploded and left a Glock logo on his palm for a week afterward.
The .40s also malfunction way more than all of the other calibers for some strange reason.
Also their slide lock levers pop out: https://youtu.be/2lx7hhKbMrY
And also their slide stop springs wear out really fast.
Which basically puts their service life on par with... oh yeah, every single other non-shit modern manufacture handgun.
Glocks are totally fine if they are your cup of tea but don't try to act like they are the cat's ass when they're not. Everything else is fuddlore and marketing. They work. They're not any better or worse than anything else.
I'm actually a sig fan boy, and proud of it. I think the P226 is the greatest handgun made. If I had to choose 1 handgun to take to combat, the P226 would be it.
To say glocks suck is foolish. They are great guns. Reliable in function and accuracy, along with priced well.
grip angle is pretty shit, gen 3 and some gen 4 models eject brass directly at your face, some triggers have felt gritty but others have felt great so qc issue, and they're ugly.
>so retarded I cant produce a coherent thought
they're not that bad i have a 17 and it shoots great and goes bang every time i pull the trigger. ergonomics are far from the best but with the far beavertail back strap on the gen 4's its not horrible. It's not my favorite pistol though.
personally i wouldn't own a glock.
out of the 5 glocks that i've had the opportunity to shoot, all 5 have malfunctioned in one way or another (not necessarily while i was shooting them). mostly jams, failures to feed and stove pipes. the guide rod broke in one. even one of my buddies stated that he loved his glock, only after upgrading the trigger, guide rod, replacing the extractor and sights. i don't see why glocks are so highly praised. fuck, my hi-point runs better than that....and it's almost 12 years old.
oh look its babbys first bait thread
i can tell youre nogunz because youre simultaneously riding the expensive=better meme of /k/ hence
and you saw the butthurt glock comic so youre riding the poorfag inaccurate meme too
>what is countless competitive shooters using glocks
>what is hickok hitting a small steel plate at ~70 yards with a Glock 27
I want you to take a moment.
Here's what I want you to do, think about what events led you to shitposting bait threads on an outdated mongolian pottery forum. That's your entertainment. What wrong turns in life led you here?
>inb4 muh boredom
read a book or some shit, find a way to be less retarded
guys you are /k/ommandos just like me. You may call me no guns, say i dont operate (I do), etc. But I care about you guys and I just really hope at the range you guys are safe and your Tupperware made firearm does not explode in your hands.
Glocks don't suck.
They are overpriced compared to functionally identical polymer frame pistols made by Ruger, S&W, Springfield, etc.
If you like the ergonomics of a Glock over a less expensive gun, it's ok to get one.
If you prefer the ergonomics of say an SR9, that's great too
If it doesn't really make a difference to you, probably get the cheaper option and spend the remainder on practice ammo.
tl;dr Glocks don't suck, they're just slightly overpriced for what they are, a good polymer frame handgun.
>fuck off kid
>inb4 navy seals copypasta
but for real we all (well most of us) own guns here, weapons to cars analogies are retarded. and the challenger is a car for tryhards and niggers.
>grip angle is shit.
Yeah 1911's are uncomfortable dog shit too I forgot.
>brass to face
They have probably the best triggers of any striker fired handgun, including the PPQ and VP9. Yes, I've fired them all on numerous occasions.
Not as ugly as the pseudoglocks like the XD/PPQ/VP9 etc.
>Wanting a manual safety
You should pay for a course so someone can teach you how to handle guns anon.
yeah, what were the navy seals thinking adopting that pile of shit. they should have bought an american-made piece of gear like the hi-point c9 ©.
It doubles as a backup melee weapon and hammer, improving modularity and consolidating functions while supporting domestic industry
In the current state of excessive spending and trade deficits, this move sends the right message to other departments, encouraging a policy of simplicity, frugality, and honest hard work.
>Ruger, S&W, Springfield
I don't trust any of those manufacturers with my life though except for maybe certain older S&W's.
I'd say Glocks are priced pretty fairly considering what you get. I don't understand why you would think they would sell them at cost. They're going to sell them at the price that maximizes profits same as anyone else. Difference between those other brands is that you're not going to be able to convince as many people to pay $500 for a Ruger/S&W/Springfield.
My last gun i bought was a glock19, it's my carry gun, i love it. Simple, looks great being simple, not complicated like every other manufacturer. I only wish glock made other things like rifles and shotguns. I would have a reason to buy a shotty finally.
The reasons I don't like glocks are
I don't like the
or that it is
What I do like
-Shoot well in dirty conditions
-The boxy symmetrical look although displeasing in certain ways aesthetically is also pleasing in others
For close shooting (the majority of the encounters your typical gun owner will encounter) it is on par with all the rest out there. However maybe its just because I've only put a few thousand rounds through one but I struggled to have as good of groupings past 35-40 yards as compared to say my P226, 92FS, or FNS.
People that hate glocks either never fired them or are shilling for some other handgun
its ok not to use them but to outright hate them when they serve in so many military and police settings and are replacing metal handguns because glock does it better.
Perhaps you are mentally challenged then?
I've got a Glock 19
Then my cousin came over with a M&P 9 full size that I think look sweet and feel better in the hand than a Glock. I was convinced I was going to buy one for $425.
Then I brought my cousins to the range and it just doesn't feel right after shooting Glocks. It handles recoil better than the Glock, but the trigger is a serious problem. I'm guessing I would have done better with it had I not shot my Glock 30 seconds before.
I think I'll buy another Glock instead.
tl,dr: I wanted to like M&Ps but Glocks shoot better.
I do enjoy myself a good revolver, never met one I didn't like
The Ruger SR9 felt pretty good when I shot it, the M&P 9 I enjoyed thoroughly (though that had an apex trigger so I can't speak to the stock trigger feeling). and I do like 1911s.
again, I don't hate glocks, I just don't think they're as great as everyone says
Einsatzkommando Cobra called, said you are a fag.
>go build a house with one side 2 degrees off
Structural integrity of a house is reliant on 90 degree angles. A house cannot vary to be more ergonomic...
>go launch a missile with your aim 2 degrees off
Missiles are launched from a stationary position, so again, shitty comparison. Obviously 2 degrees off from a static object or platform will fuck you up.
>hell, just measuring property lines being off 2 degrees will get you fired
How does this relate in any way, shape, or form...
Nope. Sig is old and busted.
Also Navy Seals =/= SF
