S&W Model 637 or S&W Model 60?
Looking for a carry weapon and prefer revolvers over semi-autos. Stuck between the two. Help me out, /k/?

.357 needs a longer barrel for optimal ballistics, unless you plan solely to use .38spcl+P you'll want the 60
I still say go with the 60 for aesthetics alone, that and snubbies are a bitch for range time

I'd like the option of using .357 or .38 special +P, but I don't see myself being in a realistic situation where .357 will ever be truly necessary.

it doesn't matter if you want .357 or not, a .357 round out of a barrel that small isn't going to give you the full power you want and theyre not fun to shoot anyway
id opt for the 60 myself because theyre classic

I wouldn't mind the 60, but I think due to price and need for a holster and maybe even a speedloader (and ammo, of course), the 637 would be better for me.

you can always get it later
Im eyeing a colt detective special but needed to buy a 649 bodyguard first because it was more practical

Right, that makes sense. I'm currently in college and work is difficult so money is very much an object, so value without sacrificing dependability is what I'm looking at more. If I reeeeeally wanted it, I could swing for the 60, but I'm gonna try not to.

The Glock of revolvers. If it was just a small sp101 that would be awesome.

If I could find a lockless 36 I'd jump on it. Hell, a 2" model 10 would be sweet as well. My mother has one and it's almost perfect. If it wasn't a square butt it would be perfect.

I've seen things that look the same made by colt and other companies of Ruger isn't your thing.
