Police is meant to be a career and you're mostly dealing with domestic violence or noise calls/teenagers depending on what city you work in. Also everyone films you now because "DA POLICE IS WACIST! POLICE STATE"

As for Army:
HUMINT is pretty cool. Learn some neat secret squirrel shit and then go to DLI without sentencing yourself to a life of windowless rooms and headphones. The downside is you don't have much of a job in garrison. It's just shy of peace time infantry in that. Analysts are just Army power point specialists. Cryptolinguists are kinda cool. If you have a reasonable command, you can get out of some dumb shit to work on language but HUMINT is about to be language dependant though so they'll get that privilege soon. There's also imagry and systems maintenance but they're nerds. They say that there exists cyber warfare but the slots have been full since I even began to consider the army so I don't believe it.

How do you get to enlisted intel? Go through basic and pick when you get out?
