I'm having a bit of trouble with the base pin latch assembly here. I just Vought a new BPL screw, but, and spring and I can't quite get it to install correctly. It keeps looking like pic.

I looked up a diagram and I'm fairly certain the spring goes with the screw, on the left side like PIC. If I were to put the spring on the other side, wouldn't it interfere with the base pin?

That's the point. It holds the base pin in until depressed. Kind of like me reading this thread.
>>
>>28438784
But judging by this schematic I'm doing it right??? The spring and screw enter on the left side and the but goes in the right.
>>
>>28438817
But putting the spring on the other side does nothing but put the spring in the way of the base pin. It doesn't actually latch and nothing changes when its depressed.

Alright /k/ I finally got it. The problem I had was that instead of the screw and spring being together on the left side. I was supposed to put the but and spring together and put the screw alone on the right. I also had to tighten it down a whole it more than I thought. Thanks for the help fellas.

My gun by the way is a Cimmarron thunderbolt, which is an 1873 black powder SAA. If you guys have any questions about it, I'll answer as best I can. Its also my first gun ever.

Does that model have the hammer block safety too? I see it has the base pin safety.
>>
>>28439018
Does it go pew or pow?
>>
>>28439018
Why did you have to replace the base pin latch?
