Let's get a /k/eystone state thread going.
Delaware County reporting
t-the playoffs must be nice...
Do you think he was a /k/ommando?
We need to de-fuddify the state a bit, and make sure transplants from NY and NJ don't fuck our rights out of existence. I just want constitutional carry and to be able to hunt with semi autos :c
Murph is pretty much a law free zone. You can shoot up there, blow up bombs, light forest fires, pretty much whatever you want. I have never ever heard of anyone getting arrested back there.
Now people getting busted in the game lands that connect to murph... yes that happens all the time.
Just don't fuck with the mining companies equipment.
York here. At least they're opening an arcade this summer and we have a really nice and giant used bookstore
>transplants from NY and NJ don't fuck our rights out of existence.
Knew a guy who moved here from Jersey and was interested in firearms and shit and then sandy vag happened, he cut off communication with me.
>Where are some good places to shoot?
If you're not a lifetime NRA member? Targetmaster is a decent indoor range, unfortunately no fmj and keep it under 2900 fps.
If you're a lifetime member there's a bunch of private ranges in the area that make you jump through all the bullshit hoops.
I go to targetmaster when I am at home, unfortunately its a little too far from center city.
In addition, I've been looking to get an AK or AR, and they dont allow steel cased ammo, and you gotta buy their .223 if you wanna shoot.
I was looking at that Holmesburg Fish & Game, but for some reason I'm really hesitant about joining the NRA
Since there locals on here I will ask: I'm in pgh and just got an ar15 for xmas. I moved here recently and have shot before but never at a range (I lived in the desert). Where are good places nearby to shoot? How do I join a gun club?
In the city the best spot I've used is The Gun Range at Spring and 9th.
I also ride up to the state range and Wiccens on occasion. There's actually quite a few PA folks and several in Philly. We chill on occasion, do camping trips, carpool to NuggetFest etc.
Not exactly "center", but I live a bit west of 30th street, so rent is quite a bit lower.
No looks, but then again I only have a pistol in a black case, and I only have to walk through my apartment building to the parking lot out back, so nobody to really see me.
Match cost is $20. Round count is 90-150. Plus you will get to shoot stuff you won't get to shoot at other places. Moving targets, from a vehicle, popping and dropping targets.
Tom Wolf got elected and gun owners haven't been ass fucked yet... will there be a habbening?
what are you up to wednesday morning?
are tou in the city or are you a NH/SH/EH/WH fucking suburbanite?
South Hills, Clairton Sportsmans Association, Anthony Arms indoor range
North Hills: Beaver Valley Rifle &Pistol club, or the new place in Mcdonald where Greater Pgh Gun Club used to be, also NE of the city is Allegheny Country Sportmans Assoc. and the State gamelands range near Wexford
East Hills: Pitcairn Sportsmans Club
I mean to at some point, only about 25 min away.
Hah, you are probably no more than 4 miles from me. I'm near St Joes.
I put my email in the name field, hit me up as I meant to pick up a membership for the year there at some point soon, if I do you get in way cheaper. One time fee of 10 bucks as well that covers the training/observe to show that you're not a fuck up per type (rifle, pistol, shotgun) but otherwise chill range. Can use steel case, rifles if you want to function test, zero, fuck around. Nice people.
>tfw have to keep gun at home
Also, FUCK PENN STATE
Washington County here, my dad and I just applied for our concealed carry permits today. Got there at just the right time, too, because about 7-8 other people came in right after us. From what the clerks said, it's been like that for a while. Also, does anyone know of any good gun clubs/ranges in the Monongahela area? A professor of mine said he could get me in at Centerville, but apparently it's full of fudds. (He was trying to describe the members, and I offered "fudd". I explained it, he laughed, and said that it was a perfect description. He still uses it in conversation, lol.)
Another long shot here, but does anyone go to Cal U? About to start my final (thank God) semester.
I work full time so no go on wed but I'm available on weekends. I'm in the city. How do you join the clubs? You have to get sponsored by a member, right? Do I just drop by and suck dick or what.
South-Central PA... Or SEPA... Depending on what the fuck I'm doing.
You like amish cock rings?
The Gun Range, Target master, Double Action, SGL 43
NRA lifetime member, I would like to know more.
Wait wait wait, I was under the impression that discharging a firearm from a vehicle was illegal as hell in PA.
Peduto wants to open the floodgates to the refugees and continue to pour money into bike lanes that are absolutely jack shit useless because of the way the fuckin city's designed.
peduto isnt going to run again.
everyone except a few lobby groups and some hipster faggots ABSOLUTELY FUCKING DESPISES THE BIKE LANES.
I mean everyone from businesses on Penn ave to people who used to park along the wall on carson st, everyone hates the fucking bike lanes.
I think the republicans could actually run a candidate for mayor on a campaign platform of removing the bike lanes and they could win.
there is nothing that pisses me off more when I go downtown and have to circle all the way around the cultural district 3 times to find a fucking parking space because i can only go one way on Penn ave.
the city police HATE pedutoheads guts to the point of being vocal about it to anyone who will listen and even the firefighters dont like him.
He is honest though, which is more than I can say for a shitload of past mayors.
Yes. Going for welding and fabrication engineering. It's an alright place, but there are lots of shootings so I wanna get carrying asap.
Lol yea, I may already know you. I actually live in Unionville right outside of Kennett.
I know there's a place in yeadon run by some ex LEOs, It has a range for archery as well. The guys that work there are cool and the ranges are nice. I think it's called double action.
>tfw I've lived in Upper Darby all my life
One time I saw a guy on the local craigslist offering free gun lessons around here. Later I see the exact same guy posting in a PA meetup thread here.
Unionville High School class of 2013.
I'm not rich, neither are my parents. I moved there from Coatesville when I was in grade school. Parents were looking for a not shit place to live and it was right next door.
Delaware county fag here. I'm from Denver and haven't made many friends since I've been here ;_;.
I have a fuckton of guns and down to shoot, pls respond.
Oh nevermind, I only know underclassmen /k/ommandos. I had some upperclassmen friends in band though...
sometimes I like to think that most people on /k/ are actually normal people that I would like to be friends with. I have to remind myself every once in a while that I am on 4chan
Same man. Like what's nuts is that I'm just a regular dude.
>Be normal, functioning human being
>Isn't autistic, insane, or famingly homosexual
>In a fraternity, has a healthy social life, goes to parties, etc.
Am I an outlier as far as /k/ommandos go?
Cumberlandfag here, why is it so hard to find a good place to shoot? The game land range near me sucks complete ass.
I'm normal. I just assumed normal people didn't hang out on 4chan.
I'll post my email later today. Once I make a throwaway. I'm sure it's fine but putting my email on 4chan seems like a basic nono.
I'm near Media, email sent.
I'm a normie by 4chan standards, straight, married, employed (up until yesterday, got laid off) with perhaps just a dash of sperg.
I have 4 but none for sale, sorry anon.
412, last time I took my FS2000 some Fudd called it "Some James Bond shit over there"
This pic is a few years old. Last time I had all my shit out. It looks a bit different now. They only had 2 tone at the store when I went. Wanted to get a SCAR-L but someone had it on layaway $500 down payment at Anthony's arms like 3 years ago. The next week I went there to shoot and the salesman told me the layaway guy came to get his money back and they still had the SCAR. I was a bit mad.
But FS2000 is fun gun
Believe me, I used to like him. He seems like a down-to-earth guy, but fuck me, I really dislike his policies. He wants us to be more like Europe, but he doesn't realize that for us to even have such an infrastructure like Germany, we need to doze fucking everything and make the streets wider. We can't just cut off a traffic lane to appeal to a minority of bikers. It's also inevitable that he'd want us to be directly inline with a stereotypical Euro country(no guns, large amounts of "diversity", etc).
I dunno, the guy's too much of an idealist goody-two shoes for my liking. Better than the last Mayor, at least.
Eh fine, here you go. It's a throwaway because I don't trust half the fuckers on any site. Can you believe this address wasn't taken btw? I kind of expected it would be...
This pic was when I got it like 2 years ago. It was a rescue from Colorado after the shooting there I think. Someone sold it and it made it's way over to PA. Got it for 1100. Gas system was a bit erratic but now it works fine.
Actually had to put the rubber hand guards back on, thing heats up like a motherfucker
Ha, I grew up in one of the towns next to quip, still reside in the area. Depending on age we may know each other or at least have mutual friends. I'm only slightly eccentric and move in a few different social circles. I stay anon on here and I have never mentioned /k/ to anyone irl, plan on keeping that way.
As someone who will most likely be a transplant soon (I swear on my mother's life that I will not fuck up your rights; I already own 7 guns including an AR and an AK I built and am moving partially to escape NY's draconian gun laws), where are some good places to consider in eastern PA that have a lot of good restaurants and a town type feel but still have good ranges nearby?
Any Yinzerfags wanna be range buddies?
I'm in the South Hills and I shoot at pic related. I think I'll be there this Sunday. I'm not that weird I swear.
Decent outdoor club inside the city proper and $100 a year , I did my CMP shoot there and got my Garand. Not one of those clubs with more rules than members. Lots of league shoots a month. I've been a member for 5 years.
Unless you are black, selling H or are from Philly I don't think you need to worry about getting shot. Just stay away from the fed and anywhere around park and 5th.
I'm a Long Islander. Are you still at PSU? Have you found any areas that have a good variety of restaurants and other things that we have here without the fucktarded gun laws
>pic related: the featureless AK I recently built to comply with the SAFE Act. It's not like I can just grind off the weld on the thread protector and screw on a pistol grip or anything.
Hand under the receiver where the pistol grip goes. Or you could just screw on the pistol grip and tell people it's a registered receiver. I obviously wouldn't recommend that, though; Cuomo would be displeased.
K^2 class of 2010 kid
Did you go through the trailers in Unionville?
>tfw know how to sneak into Longwood.
unless you aren't a pretentious jerk from Hockessin, maybe...
How difficult is it to actually carry legally in DE? I was reading about it and saw the whole publishing it in a newspaper thing. I know the Wilmington area fairly well, though, and I'm down there a few times a year for one of my hobbies.
You have to register receivers with a pistol grip? I didn't think the SAFE act was that fucking stupid.
No, it's worse: we HAD to before April 15th, 2013. Now we just flat-out can't own a gun that accepts a detachable mag and pistol grip. Don't ever let anyone tell you that NY's gun laws don't suck balls. We also require a permit to even touch a handgun legally. Getting the permit in my county (Nassau) costs $400 for the non-refundable application fee and involves character references, fingerprinting, and waiting several months. All of that is just to TOUCH a pistol.
Having said all of that, I was planning to look in Lancaster, Allentown, and New Hope. How is carrying in Delaware? I read something about needing to publish your application in a newspaper.
A good variety of restaurants (I'm used to being able to eat Japanese, Thai, Mediterranean, and good Italian food without having to travel more than 15 minutes) and some sort of town with local stores and a supermarket nearby. I don't need quite so many options, but I've been to plenty of places where your only option after 6 PM is Burger King.
I live in just north of Lancaster City, 5 minutes one way and I'm in the city, 5 minutes in another and you're in the middle of nowhere, I love it.
Where I live there are many options besides BK after 6pm, the city itself isn't giant, but it is definitely a city and not just some crummy little town, we have a baseball team, conference centers, and some gangs but overall it is pretty safe. There are also neat little towns like Lititz and Mount Joy, each is fun to visit.
The food here is the best I've had anywhere on the country due to the close proximity of farms, and you can goto markets or stands on the side of the road for local food. For food, we have everything you talked about. We also have some outlets, a decent mall, and plenty of good ranges and gun shops.
Now that I think about it I wouldn't want to be anywhere else, but if you wanted to look at an area closer to Philly I'd look at King of Prussia.
Along the southwest side of the gardens the "fence" is simply a 1.5ft tall stone terrace. Just hop out of a friend's car there, one person gets a ticket and maps. Problem solved.
I guess you're right. Plus, I currently live on campus so it wouldn't be wise. Next semester I'll be living in off campus housing though.
Yes I did have classes in the trailers. Made Sarno's class even worse than it already was.
Don't you just walk over the grassy hill? Lol.
Awesome. My girlfriend and I were going to take a ride down and look soon. And I was also thinking about King of Prussia and Phoenixville. I've been to the colonial theater in Phoenixville a few times and liked the surrounding town, but I didn't get to see much of it.
Phoenixville is pretty sweet, it has many of the same perks as Lancaster but is a bit more built up. It's also right down the road from Oaks Expo Center, the location of PA's largest gun show and multiple other shows throughout the year.
Kennett, por favor..
Tickets for adults I think is $20. With student ID is $10.
Yeah the game commission range in Dunbar is my usual stop but its a drive. I am only in PA for half the year so a club membership is completely wasted on me. You don't know of any for pay places for rifle? I know of TNT shooting grounds for shotguns but I am trying to start shooting 200-300 yards.
that section of wall near Beechwood Dr, man
pic very related
>Positively no rapid fire (more than one shot in three seconds)
>Magazines / clips may be loaded to five rounds capacity maximum.
God PA is insufferable. I can't wait to get back to WV.
All depends on how rural you want/don't want to be. I personally think that the area between Lancaster and King of Prussia is the best mixture of the two in the entire state, but that is me.
>Positively no rapid fire (more than one shot in three seconds)
Only on the rifle range. You can shoot whatever you want on the pistol(in name only) range up to 50yards. There are some old fucks that look for the most chicken shit infractions though.
Thanks. I'll have to take a trip soon and see. I'll check this thread again in the morning to see if anyone else has any recommendations as well. I just can't take NY anymore. While we admittedly have a lot to offer in terms of convenience and things to do, other places are comparable and don't have the ridiculous cost of living, congestion, miserable people, corruption, and horrible laws.
I don't know who made this but its accuracy scares me.
I moved to this fuckhole of a town, from Harrisburg originally. But in general, this town blows dick, the only thing going for it is literally the heroin trade. Fucking scumbag tweakers, there needs to be another great flood to wash all the niggers and other filth out of the valley.
I was going to call you out for b8 for pretending like you don't know what I'm alluding to, but then I realized Penn State is your alma mater, so you may actually be that ignorant.
You don't want to. They are shitty and boring "cities". Uniontown is full of hicks and poorfags, and Greensburg is turning into a college town with not much to offer other than bars and fuccbios. Stay in Wexford.
But for the general theme of PA thread- we may be a crumbling sack of crap, but we are some of the free-est people in the USA.
So am I allowed to stay?
Nobody at Temple chants anything other than "Fuck Penn State" these days.
I like to think some of the state's freedom rubs off on Philly but Kenney is probably going to do everything in his power to ruin that.
Oh, you goto that school for autists in Pittsburgh, cool.
I'll enjoy actually having a college experience and multiple job offers lined up senior year, you enjoy your "real school"
nice catch on shitposter.. enjoy turnpike pic
better traveled with kommandos
A series of 3 periods (you used 4 twice since you're an idiot) is called an ellipsis. It is commonly used, in text that's mimicking speech rather than constructing an essay, to indicate hesitation or "trailing off" both of which convey uncertainty, defensiveness and insecurity. Which leads me to believe that you're a beta fuckboy who gets down on his knees to pray to something much fleshier than god.
>is called an ellipsis.
duh, but its a queer term and we both know it. No one uses it in casual conversation, what are you, an English major?
>indicate hesitation or "trailing off" both of which convey uncertainty, defensiveness and insecurity
Did you notice the posts I linked to? They are arguing about their schools. If you don't get the humor in my post, you must be more effeminate than I assumed.
I like to keep my language as precise as my groupings; I realize it's harder for you to aim while wearing a buttplug but please don't take it out on those of us with some semblance of martial competence and discipline. You and I both know you didn't intend any humor in your first post, all you wanted was some attention, approval and ultimately the taste of Pennsylvanian cock in your throat.
I would agree, great combo. Looking to move to that direction from Philly at some point.
I'm right on the edge of Philly so I'm kinda getting a decent mix of burbs and city, although being closer to rural areas is more my speed. However, being able to take the train to literally everything is kinda nice. If you can work out being reasonably close to the regional commuting to Philly to work is very much doable.
Chester/Montgomery here. Only have two poorfag guns, and I hate indoor ranges. If anyone had some private land we could shoot on, I'd bring beer or something. Also not originally from PA, so not too used to the area.
>calling a skeleton fat
Nope. That's from the Abandoned Turnpike
Oh look at you using college words! How smart you must be. You just are mad that you are stuck in PA, and not down in WV. Do you understand the pleasure of going miles underground in Greenbrier country? Or driving through 100s of miles of century old forest along the Appalachian mountains without cell service? (because of the worlds largest moving machine, the Green Bank Telescope)..
PA is fucking trash compared to WV, at least when it comes to /out/ and /k/. Get mad m8.
>pic related, living the dream in WV.
Camping after hiking.. 2014 was in fleck, 2015 in Alpenflage
I've got mixed feelings about Killadelphia. On the one hand, it's a progressive shithole where everyone who isn't a nigger sucks their dicks. On the other hand, it's a cosmopolitan area that benefits from PA's broader freedom-loving constituency—one of the few historic cities in the country that, just by virtue of the state it exists in, isn't completely cuckolded.
One of them actually approached a professor and told him to sign off on his paper saying that e completed his coursework so he wouldn't have to work that term/semester. The professor said no, and the student went and complained to the dean. All that was done was that the student got transferred to another teacher.
Another one got arrested for helping his friends rape a girl here. But that didn't make it into the news because the university and the president are probably getting paid a lot of hush bucks for this.
I want someone to blow the whistle on them and get them kicked out. They go into the metal shop constantly in their sandals and fight with the teachers when they get told that they can't wear open-toed shoes.
I want them all kicked out, so fucking badly. That spoiled attitude is disgusting to me.
Get that mediocre middlesworth forced memechip. Pic related is PA's true chip
Dude my family knows I love going /out/doors and they never once told me about the old turnpike! So disappoint >=[
I guess they redeemed themselves by showing me centralia but we didn't get out and hike around...
Now Im thinking of making some trips. what was your experience on the turnpike? Lots a people? Probly depends on where you cut in at I'm sure.
I don't wanna be revealing my true power level to normal day hikers lol
I just want woods for hiking and tons of dirt bike trails for riding. Wanna be left alone for the most part. Want to be able to walk around my house and the woods be so dense and other houses so far away that I see no other house
I grew up in Clinton, most people around here are okay. Hell, I even hung out with the Janoski's kids when I was in elementary school.
Yeah man if you're used to the city u may wanna stay in one. We'll spot you immediately and talk shit behind your back. As long as you can pick up our lifestyle we'll accept you eventually.
Come to WV
I grew up rurally outside of Pittsburgh, its shit compared to WV. Convert. I slept outside 81 nights in 2015 while camping, hiking, and caving in WV. This year I'm going to try again for 100.
You grew up there, though. The people aren't as nice to outsiders; he'd be an outsider.
WV is decent but maine is as unpopulated as the hardcore flyovers.
I've marked them on this.. They're in Fulton County. Western access is about 2mi east of Breezewood.
They seem to be known, fairly well, but I wouldn't call them popular. Reveal power level, but CC over OC unless it's hunting season.
Might just be where I grew up. The only problem I ever had with out-of-staters was dealing with assholes on 376 with Ohio plates.
Come down to Greenbrier (its my favorite). I drive down US 19 from Morgantown every other weekend or so, its a beautiful drive. I'd recommend you drive it down and back just to see all the way into s. wv. It's a beautiful stretch that follows the state forest.
>pic related is the only above groud one I have saved on my computer, but essentially all of S. WV is rolling hills and mountains covered in forests.
Only warning is that you won't get cell service, and GPS is shoddy out there.
Do you have to know the secret handshake and all that bullshit that goes with joining a sportsmans club? It's a bit out of my way but my range buddy has been working over seas for the past few months and shooting by yourself gets boring sometimes.
If you are in SWPA, these are the spots I usually ride my dirt bike
The first has a gate at the entrance, park down around the small town and drive up on your pic so you don't get the cops called;
The second, park in the pull off right next to the green man tunnel, and then cross the creek to get to the riding area. There is some trails right there, but to get to the main ones, ride up the hill heading away from the road and there is a dustbowl, trails, and a big flat slag dump.
OOOH almost forgot the last one. It's shittier now, because the power company busted some people riding up there a couple years back and they stopped taking care of it as much.. but you can check it out;
OH drivers are the fucking worst
they're worse than south hills drivers or the fucking fair weather fan suburbanite tourists that migrate to the city whenever the buccos or pens are having a good season.
greensburg isnt that bad.
uniontown is a nigger and white trash filled shithole though. there are some nice little suburbs that are borderline rural south west of Pittsburgh though.
Imperial PA is a nice little area, with quick access to Some nice state parks and OH and WV
so what your saying is that you're going to spend your entire college career buried in class work and then when you do get to have a social life go to lame as fuck parties with stinky indian chicks and frigid asian girls that if they do actually fuck, will be the one Pitt student that shows up and cucks every male there just by not being a meme spouting ultra nerd...
>when the autists tell you your school is for cucks
is this what it feels like to be stumped
ravenstahl wasnt bad per se. just very young and dishonest.
I was front and center and watched the whole drama ending his career unfold firsthand.
I keep running into peduto everywhere, I was with some associayes at la mardi gras in shadyside one night and pedutohead came in.
I was busting his balls about his policies but he thought thay I was agreeing with him, which was awkward.
then one day im at whole foods and I see some schmuck from behind wearing a full denim suit and start to laugh, dude turns around and its fucking peduto.
he calls my name and comes over and start jabbering on about shit and it was a miracle I got away after a half hour
beware the east end, its the lair of the denim monster they call peduto
