"The Zone" Russian scifi-series for TV.
Oh, be real!
...Stalker thread, I guess.
get Misery mod and start black road don't be a pussy if you are not braindead its doable
there's already a stalker series in rusia
its a braindead mod though. It doesn't make the game tangibly harder, just longer and more frustrating.
Still waiting for a mod that makes far better AI and more realistic combat.
Recently read Roadside Picnic for the first time (finished it last night actually) after having played the STALKER series for years and watching the 1979 movie a few times.
My favorite Zone is probably the movie version, but if it had other stalkers, bandits, and mutants.
>The ending of the book kinda pissed me off for some reason actually
I just don't even know anymore. I hope this show secures the production values.
>Still waiting for a mod that makes far better AI and more realistic combat.
what's a game that does have realistic combat by your standards?
As for misery: some aspects of it I do like -- the internal economy pretty well does reflect the actual state of isolated systems similar to the zone (think: prison economies).
Goddamn it that is fucking nope to the max
Like that fucking Mission to Mars tornado
If the Zone (any version) was real, would you go?
I for one would be there in a second.
Finding and selling artifacts, removing bandit, shooting FA AKs on the daily, worship the Monolith, maybe even take a trip to the wish granter, all that cool shit.
In reality though, I'd probably fall into a mosquito mange or get eaten by a bloodsucker in the middle of the night.
What gear would you bring? For me it would be
>AKM with triangle stock and PSO-1
>CZ-75 clone in 9x19mm
>Low profile plate carrier with the lightest multiple hit capable plates I can find (in a dark green east Euro camo)
>T-Pat pants dyed with a green tint
>Hiking boots with good ankle support, and reinforced soles.
>Usual support/communications equipment and food as well as medical and survival kits.
(For those not familiar with T-pat, here is an image of some knockoff pants)
