I wonder if this is the same issue, but when ripping videos from DMM, you do sometimes get a bit of frame-jumping depending on the video player you use.

When playing with QuickTime Player, for instance, depending on how I mux the video, it will either intermittently show the wrong frame, or it will show the same frame twice. However, if I play the same video with mpv, it plays flawlessly.

My rip of AVOD-301 (which I posted in a previous thread) has the same issue. I didn't notice it at first because I almost exclusively use mpv. But I would love for my rips to play flawlessly in any video player, so if anyone knows what's going on, I'd love to hear about it.

One thing I should note is that simply using mpv won't always work for videos that exhibit this problem. It only works for mine because I don't re-encode the raw video. But if the ripper re-encode the video to add watermarks or adverts, there is no way to play the video without experiencing glitches.

So yeah, I can't speak for other rippers and uploaders, but this issue is a huge pain and I wish I could fix it, but sadly I'm just some guy who knows how to use ffmpeg, and not an expert in video encoding.

Editing expert please help me here, I use avidemux to delete some portion of the video. Then it warn me that deleting frames that are not keyframes will result in error where the frame is cut and sure enough pic related happened.
Now deleting stuff between keyframes does resulted in error-less video but I really want to be able to edit each and every frame. Because I don't want scenes that I wish to edit out appeared even just one frame in the finished result.
