Anyway, fake or real, ONV has a lot of self-parody, I think all the guys who appear on the interviews are various gainax staff guys, the foreigner who is said to be from Portugal is actually a member of Gainax's San francisco office, I think his last name was Smith (also a gunbuster character was named after him).
Supposedly this guy was upset because he actually narrated passionately about his otaku lifestyle, but on the final edit they just had someone dubbing him over and saying something completely different.
