Yes. It seems like it has a good crispness to it.

Copula looked rather pedestrian in its design compared to what I see in SDVX, and I think this lessens that kind of gap.

Nice. Based on what I see from Extra Mode in LR2 it shouldn't have that much more to do, but the long notes are new.

I was worried Sinobuz would go for some tryhard edgy styling, but it actually looks pretty slick in motion.
Also, can anyone identify what that percussion sound at the end of the in-transition is? Some kind of japanese drum?
>>
>>16024255

I doubt these people are just walking into a crowded arcade, opening up the back of the machine and plugging shit into it all willy nilly.

No way that shit would fly in Japanese society.

Plus, I don't really even know what an actual BemaniPC looks like. I know the hardware, but I doubt it's a standard PC with standard I/O in there. Who knows if it even has any spare HDMI outs.
>>
>>16024781
You don't know about DECADE OLD standard options, but you think you can talk about society? SRK knows better than you.
>>
>>16024781
>I doubt these people are just walking into a crowded arcade, opening up the back of the machine and plugging shit into it all willy nilly.
I'm sure there are some arcade operators that make a spare DVI/audio ports available to those that want to capture, similar to how they might install headphone amplifiers on the machine.

>Plus, I don't really even know what an actual BemaniPC looks like. I know the hardware, but I doubt it's a standard PC with standard I/O in there. Who knows if it even has any spare HDMI outs.
It's actually a pretty normal PC. The case is funny, but otherwise the video card output, USB ports, etc. are pretty standard.
>>
>>16024781
It's set up by arcade managers I'd think. There's a reason only a few people upload line-outs.
Also, it uses plain old VGA for video, so a capture card and a splitter is all you'd need.
>>
>>16024485
Sounds like a pitched down giant snare drum with an asston of reverb to me.

What the fuck are you even talking about anymore?

I asked a simple question, and instead of answering it you waste posts giving me shit for it. Do you have serious social issues?

It was clear to me that those videos were made using either a capture card, or some E-amuse feature I wasn't aware of. More likely the former. However, in case it was the latter I decided to ask so that I may be more knowledgeable on a subject I care about.

I'm not certain what any part of your post was trying to insinuate, but the concept of capture cards/devices is not a foreign on to me.

>Concept of SINOBUZ

>side:SOUND by IIDX Sound Team

>Beatmania IIDX 24 has finally been released.

>This time the idea was to have a Japanese taste with a "ninja" theme, but a truly Japanese taste is something that has been done many times over, so we decided to add an extra twist - we thought taking the somewhat distorted view that foreigners have of "ninjas" and looking at it from our side might turn out interesting in its own right.

>As far as music goes, the main theme is to have songs that work in accordance with this SINOBUZ theme, but since this theme is so simple, we suspected we might end up with too many songs that looked alike, so we decided on a number of sub-concepts.

>One such sub-concept is to bring the latest artists in the dance music scene to IIDX. While this sub-concept is one we have as part of every IIDX theme, this time we've focused particularly on those artists which are famous in other media but have yet to participate in IIDX in the past.

>Another theme is to bring back genres that haven't been in IIDX recently. While these genres had a number of songs recorded in IIDX in the past, after the IIDX game style changed over the years, we've had relatively newer creators re-interpret them and add new songs to the mix.

>There are a number of other sub-concepts that we decided on, but as for the rest, we'd love for you to play it yourself to find out.

>With that, please enjoy the sound of Beatmania IIDX 24 SINOBUZ.
>>
>>16027339

>Concept of SINOBUZ

>side:VISUAL by IIDX Designers

>The beatmania IIDX series has changed its visual appearance in accordance with its sound theme many times; this time it's changed to a "ninja" theme - those SINOBUZ who sneak into amusement facilities and freely manipulate sounds.

>As the "visuals" and "play" change each day, the world of SINOBUZ, shown by many visual techniques are ever-changing. Sometimes violently, sometimes elegantly, but always giving the melody a sparkling color.

>beatmania IIDX NINJA STYLE -SINOBUZ-

>Take it in!

>>
>>16028792

It's an online eAmuse thing. You customize it at home.
>>
>>16028796
Or with a smartphone.

You need a basic e-amuse subscription to change lane covers, turntables, explosions, etc while there's no need for that for Qpro customization.

It's like 324yen per month. Buy paseli with bitcash cards or codes.
>>
>>16028792
to customize lanecover, noteskin etc. you need e-amuse basic course

then you buy them and enable them on the e-amuse site

then once you buy it, you go to the tab on the right (customize play) to enable them

>>
A round 1 opens up nearby early next year; if I wanna pay for Paseli, I get that I'll need to link a card to a Japanese Konami account, but can the card itself be registered with the US as the region, or should I set the card as Japanese when I first use it?

No I mean, can the eAmuse card be set to US region, or can I only link Japan region set eAmuse cards to a Japanese Konami ID?

I don't understand the complaints. IIDX has always alternated between males and females for the result art depending on the version. You've already had exclusively girls for the past two versions, and tricoro was a mixture.

Sorry for incoming blogpost but I kinda just realized something

One of the reasons I like IIDX more than other rhythm games is because the walls that exist are skill-based rather than stamina-based. I've kinda always been sickly and weak (had cancer as a teen, woo hoo) so there were plenty of games that I just stopped progressing at not because I couldn't read the charts, but because my body physically wouldn't let me do the actions associated with playing them. This was obviously the case with dance games, but even also with Pop'n and osu! because my arms would just die halfway through songs. But getting better at IIDX isn't physically demanding at all so far; it's mostly about just training yourself to read difficult note patterns, and I'm okay with this. I'm sure at some point I'll run into a stamina problem with this, too, but for the time being it's given me a longer run than almost anything else I've tried.
>>
>>16029918

Pretty easy 11, only the end is any amount of hard.

I just figured I never cleared it cause I suck at scratching, not because it was an 11.
>>
>>16029990

Real fucking ironic calling anything western "generic" when anything, ANYTHING, made by someone Asian is by default generic.

Asian people have no souls. They have no emotions. They are cold, calculating machines. And while they can't make art, or anything creative or original, they can endlessly imitate, duplicate, and alterate.

Ever notice how the whole dubstep phase took a few years to hit Japanese music, and then it was all the rage? It's because they copied the style because they "liked" it and adjusted it to the liking of their robots ears.

Yes, while they cannot produce something that is marvelous, or world changing, they can produce media that is good, or even great, and because their society is socially conservative, there's hardly any leftist propaganda in them like 'being homosexual is okay', or 'transgendered people are people'.

That's why I watch anime. While it will never be truly amazing, it is just good enough to consume without being inadvertently brainwashed.

So while a lot of Bemani music is good, or great, and I do like it, it by definition can never be amazing. So be more grateful when western producers are willing to give music made by lowly Asians for Bemani a much needed boost. It's actually a tremendous honor to receive.

Also, stop calling me Kyle fucking Ward! I never was, and will never be Kyle Ward.

While I agree that PIU in general is much harder than most DDR officials, you're making a really shitty comparison. If you're going to try to make PIU look good, at least show off difficult DP charts instead of "look forward and run". 1950 S20 is incredibly straightforward for a vast majority of the chart. You need only the most basic speed and technique to SS with PIU's timing windows.
>>
>>16030398
Funny because everything you've said applies to DDR in fact just by design DDR is way easier than PIU beside the timing which can be adjusted on PIU, which by the way the last time I checked DDR timing was 16ms for marvelous and on PIU you can have 8ms timing.

I quick trip to Google found me this. I can't verify its accuracy, but it looks like the PERFECT window doesn't get smaller than 2.5 frames in the modern games. Even VJ is 3.5 frames, which is only slightly tighter than DDR's PERFECT.
>>
>>16030476
There is no official information about the timings but educated guessing, there was a website for the Fiesta 2 on Andamiro's website with information about it but it was very superficial and it was just pretty much EJ = Easy Judge, HJ = Hard Judge and so on without further explanation about the timings however we can tell by the fact that there is a XJ judge which belongs to the Extra Mix https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pump_It_Up_(video_game_series)#Extra which was 16ms for Perfectç that anything above XJ is sub 16ms howerer the very first PIU mix had the same exact timings as DDR so there had to be at least 3 judges modes that match or are tigher than DDR.

How does /jp/ feel about the new PSUN alternative?
>>
>>16031698

>>

You don't need a card for any E-amuse server. A card ID is any txt file that starts with E004, followed by 12 hex numbers.

This new one bypasses the whole Freemason system that PSUN has going, so I was curious if it's controversial. I'm not sure if I should link to it, but it's easy to find.

But yeah, as other anons said, it appears everywhere and too often. I'm beginning to regret ever wishing to see 2hu in rhythm games.

When you write off anything not Japanese as bad you inherently have shittier taste by the mere fact that they can never truly be diverse.

You're like a food "connoisseur" who claims he doesn't like cheese. You're out. Right off the bat you're out. To at least be in the running for good taste you have at least have a diverse appreciation of music. You do not, so you are by definition, unable to have good taste.

Also, maybe they can't invent new things, but them having the skills to mix and modify genres is a fact, who in the entirety of America and Europe makes good songs with high BPM? Western EDM is a joke compared with Eastern.

Eastern EDM was already pretty shit to me, and the Western ones my normie friends force feed me sound like snorting pig noises.

I'm all for diversity, but "new things" are pretty fucking overrated and not always a good thing as you more often than not end up with meme genres that barely resemble music, ALL for the sake of standing out. At the end of the day, there are rules to music and what matters is the execution, not how unique and special snowflake it sounds.

Also the claim that Bemani artists can't make anything creative or original is a load of horseshit. People like Nekomata, Totoriott, Zektbach and Dirty Androids all have their established, distinct sounds that don't blindly follow popular trends. There are a ton more in the indie scene. And then there are those responsible for resuscitating certain genres like folk, new age, eurobeat, jazz, while the majority of the fucking universe is absorbed into the blob of uninspired electronic music.

P.S. The "endlessly imitate, duplicate and alterate" statement hits too close to home. If I had to listen to a Hollywood orchestral track one more fucking time.

Nah, fuck being spoonfed, I gotta figure this shit out by myself or I'll just ignore it entirely.

>>16034188
>>16033924
>>16033737

Starting off with Bemanigirl, because it's the only place I can think of from what >>16033737 say. I try to access bemanigirl.tk but I get redirected to some horseshit.
It says some nonsense about robot.txt, but from what I've read about it, all it's supposed to do it reduce unwanted traffic from search crawlers like Google. It shouldn't prevent me from accessing it.
Alright, so I start easy, instead of just clicking the result link, I type the URL in manually. Same redirected page.
I then open up CMD and ping 'bemanigirl.tk' to acquire its IP address and try to access it by putting that into the URL bar. Nope.
Maybe there's some simple Robot.txt bypass addon. Surely that'll do it. Nope, nothing like that exists.
So maybe I'm missing something obvious. Maybe >>16033943 meant that redirected Freenom page isn't the adware laden shithole it looks like.
So I try to change both my network adapter DNS and my router's DNS to 80.80.80.80 and 80.80.81.81 in every possible combination. None of this worked.
Now there is where shit gets real abstract. You can still access Bemanigirl's old site, but all it says is "Goodbye. 9th, June, 2015"
Maybe I can use the wayback machine and there will be a capture of her site on that day that has further information on what to do from here. No luck.
So that's where >>16033924 falls into play, specifically:
>playing rhythm games with an internal microsecond-accurate clock and precise actuators is cheating
Ah, I get it now. Clearly there's some weird certificate nonsense so I change my PC's time and date to 6/9/2015 and BOOM, still fucking nothing.

Still not sure what the "stop being a robot" or >>16034188 were supposed to mean.

I'm not even 100% sure it was Bemanigirl I was even supposed to go to.

I've tried everything I can think of at this point. I tried my best and I still failed.

if you hit slow a lot, change it towards early. set it to a dramatic number like 2, then play a song you're really comfortable with. don't look closely at the judgments and try to adjust, just play with the music. then consider the fast/slow balance and adjust it a bit. repeat until it feels right, then once you think you've got it right, sightread something and see if it still feels good.

he probably needs to adjust offset because he's got a shitty laggy home setup, you shouldn't need more than +- 0.6 offset on an arcade cab
>>
>>16038687
Ok I'm aware of the piss easy process to get in. But I've seen a few people here say that getting stuff is actually difficult (unless you've got like, a seedbox, or an always-on computer, whatever iunno shit about private trackers).
>>
>>16038759
I'm not the one having issues. Given other variables like green number, just adjusting the offset based on your fast/slow ratio is bad advice. Recommending that someone plays IIDX by audio unless you're on a CS or flawless PC setup is even worse advice.

>>16038767
Real arcade cabinets are incredibly laggy compared to CS, both audio and visuals. I use -2.0 on AC.
>>
>>16038769
Guy who has not made power user yet here. It's piss easy. With bonus points you are given free upload and there's plenty of fl torrents and it seems like global fl happens often enough to take advantage of.
>>
>>16038769
Seed a tiny torrent at 5Kb/s and redeem your dellar for upload. Takes some time but you don't have to do jack shit. Hardly the easiest tracker because of how niche it is, but the ratio is lenient as fuck.
>>
>>16038781
the general way I did it was fucking around with green number until it was comfortable, then fucking around with lift until it was comfortable, then taking off my headphones and making sure that I was hitting the same fast/slows as I was with them on.

>>16038769
>>16038787
Sows is one of the easier trackers to build ratio on - global freeleeches, bonus points, etc make it much easier than "hard economy" sites like what.cd

>>16039377
If you rent a seedbox instead of just collecting the free upload that the site gives you (>>16039203), you're just an idiot.
>>
>>16039453
Seedbox rent prices are trivial and have a larger upload potential than not using one so there's no good reason not to use one
>>
>>16039479
Not him but I hit PU in less than 3 weeks by just leaving a spare laptop on 24/7 under my bed seeding torrents. A seedbox may have been a little faster but I don't really see why I should pay for one.
>>
>>16039488
Well if you want to download other stuff than the data also, it would be useful. Also the electricity needed to run the spare machines is often about as much or more than the rent for a sufficiently sized seedbox, so it's just easier and provides you with constant ratio.

Would anyone here be interested in making charts for a taiko clone? I'm designing a chart format with the intent of being able to (mostly) automatically convert actual charts from the console/handheld versions to this format (possibly also osu! charts). If I can get a game working well enough, I'd like to make it freely available with assets and a tracklist that aren't going to get me in trouble with Namco and then anonymously release the conversion tools and Namco charts. However, I know from experience with FoF and Stepmania that I'm not all that good at making fun charts.

If the second to last digit is a 1 and not a 2 you can use it (though they're working on support for the newer 2 cards).

>Alright, so I'm like actually, genuinely, and certifiably mentally fucking retarded.

At least you've come to terms with it

Awesome, thanks. Just checked and that number is a 1.

I'll probably be asking questions as to how to use it when I actually get the data. 20 more days, woo hoo

Wait what? I'm I've got a few weeks left to poweruser so I haven't tried anything but my card has a 1 in second to last digit. You can't connect arcade rips to Konami servers, right? So I'd be using psun 2.0 or that other one. I can use my card number (or rig up a card reader for fun) but my data won't be there, right? Am I misunderstanding how this works?

Your scores won't be there because it's a different server.

I've used my one eamuse card on a R1 cab and another cab and it acts as if it's a new card.
I would recommend just making up a new card ID for data

I don't like you.

Jealousy intensifies. Is there a place to get custom controllers made, or do you just have to be a badass and make one yourself?

The custom element of that is probably just inserting print-outs of the designs he wanted (which you can do yourself fairly easily).
