I mean, its justified to raise the expensive 40->70/80 if you want to AW the unit and get the extra abilities etc. but beyond that? I find it hard to get motivated and spend all resources on a single unit just to max it. So I only maxed 3 blacks with Happys and some golds with the 18k exp fairies.

That said, I agree that Nutaku isn't completely innocent in this matter. Let's not forget about their initial demands for censorship, which resulted in a lot of missing and skipped content to begin with, and they still claimed for months that they would take over when they had nothing concrete on the table.

The end result is the same, though, in that EN Aigis is shit and anyone who still has any kind of hope in it is a complete moron. The weekly drama theater is the only reason to follow it, and I bet that a good number of Nutaku employees will secretly be glad once it kicks the bucket.

Generally speaking, no. DMM held only one such event for golds and silvers, early in the game's life, and in typical FKG dev fashion they decided to just keep it on permanently. That's why we have these 6%/30% gold/silver rates, they used to be 3%/15%.

Depends on the game. They're like DMM in this aspect, they just close down games that aren't profitable, and it's probably a joint decision with the original developers.

Still, games like Osawari and Hitsuji are probably doomed sooner or later because they have no new content on DMM and Nutaku has neither the capacity nor willingness to continue them after they run out of existing events (recall that their idea of EN-exclusive content was Silly Girl), while games like Aigis are probably doomed because they are utter shit. But then, browser games can last a long time on just a few whales, and Nutaku would lose face by closing Aigis so I'd expect them to delay that as long as they can.

Just wondering, but is the Nutaku version of FKG censored in any way?

I literally just started playing it the other day and wanted to make sure I'm making the right choice here choosing Nutaku over using DMM.

The actual differences between Nutaku and DMM version include over a years content (its not increasing), DMM gets more FG but Nutaku gets gold ticket gachas (same amount of golds, slightly less already rare rainbows for Nutaku), its also easier to spend FG on non gacha things on DMM. Nutaku is in english and the translations are fairly decent, they had a few wonky names at launch that aren't sorted (orchid wydler vs onicidium), sex scenes are censored on DMM but not Nutaku though rarely dicks look like loafs of bread or other things and so look better censored.

If you plan to whale, you'll get far more rainbows for money on Nutaku, though you have to wait longer for a specific rainbow.

All in all if you want english Nutaku is the best choice by far, only if you read japanese or don't plan on reading at all should you play on DMM to get the few minor bonuses and the extra years worth of content.

This is nothing at all like Aigis or previous nutaku games, both version are run very well.

Well, that's a bit misleading.

You'll get the same amount of rainbows for your money on both DMM and Nutaku, and DMM gives you more flexibility in that some of its campaigns allow you to choose exactly which rainbow you want, up to the date at which the campaign was launched. But Nutaku holds rainbow campaigns like they're going out of style, so if you have infinite money, you can buy more of these campaigns on Nutaku.

All in all, Nutaku's version is decently run, and there's no shame in playing it, but DMM's side sets the bar so high that I'd easily prefer it over EN FKG. Consider this: I rolled down to 0 flower stones last Monday, and I have 55 now.

I do 13-5 for time reasons mostly, it would take me over an hour to spend all my stamina otherwise on 12-5. Up to 10 runs at 5-10 minutes each really adds up.

Not really, there are so many players that raid boss events can be completed in a couple days. Raid bosses being sent to 80/100 people helps a lot too.

It's a big help for beginning players though, I imagine.

The only thing I use friends for on Nutaku FKG is to compare power with, despite all 8 having one or several rainbows they're still sitting at 410000 power along with me with my all gold team.

This is my setup, 0 CC'd units and generally being shit at the game.

Bashira + random mage takes care of everything flying. Top rogue is there just for some lucky evasion tanking/maybe a lucky assassination on the last mob. I replace her with Lolonee when she dies (or just before she dies when I can be bothered).

Jessica at the bottom provides some nice extra magic damage/tanking, but any form of heavy armor should be enough, when she dies the middle heavy armor tanks the rest.

Top one usually reaches the middle HA with about 20% health, bottom one with about 2% health. Prince is just there for stat boosting and could probably be replaced with something more useful.

I start with Katie and two cheap silver archers just to get the first HA/healer out there, then place the second healer and replace the archers with mage/bashira.

Only problem I can see is if your HA/healers/Bashira/mage are really low level.

Ah, yeah. Then I have no real tips for ya. My strat is pretty reliant on average levels being a bit higher.

Bashira should handle the witches on one side in a few seconds without them being able to do any damage at all, especially if you use her skill, but the witches on the other lane will probably start killing shit.

Only real tip is to exploit the fact that the second wave won't spawn until the first is dead, so if possible you just set up your defensive end first and then pool up some points to spam out the DPS. So if Bernice + 2 healers can keep up with the damage from the black armor & troll in the first wave then that should by you some time to generate some points.

If you've cleared the story mission Deep Forest Road I'd spam commission sorties on that going forward, it's got the highest gold/charisma generation in the whole game IIRC. So it's great to generate money to level people up.

Put Katie until you got enough for full team and swap her for Bernice.
Put some some soldiers/Heavy to slow down the enemies if you the need but remember to remove them before losing them.
In the last wave you should still ahve 3 life, kill all the witches placing a remaining soldier top to tank them and the valkyrie bottom, do not try to tank these white monsters you will probably killed.

Anyone got advice on what to focus on? Not really sure what I should use my XP unit on and pump gold into. Right now I'm thinking about CCing alissa and cost reducing (I have 2 more copies) so that I can get a healer out faster than Iris. But I'm also considering trying to max katie. Or I could CC cyrus so I have a more powerful mage. TOO MANY CHOICES!

In the end, I'd like to be able to do an orb daily and reach my first awakened unit.

Work on CCing a mage, 2nd healer, and spica in some order. It's not recommended to use silvers for anything but CC and AW unless you have plenty of spare copies. They're a fairly valuable resource on Nutaku.

Eventually, you'll want to swap to Iris+Fedora and use Alissa as a 3rd, because after AW, they'll be much, much stronger.

Switch Alyssa for Fedora. Work on her first so you have two CC healers. Then Spica. Then CC a mage. Or mix the order up. Doesn't matter. Do those three things. And drop Leo for another mage. You don't really need three soldiers. Maybe consider replacing your artillery officer or pirate with a valkyrie. Both are pretty situational and a bandit won't always be your go-to duelist, especially not LOLONEE with the high event cost you've got her at.

Keep Anelia in then, if you find yourself using her often. I have a couple of off classes I like to keep around in my main team, too. I'd say a good focus for balance is always two archers, two healers, two heavies, two mages, two witches, and two soldiers. That gives you three slots to play with and I recommend a good duelist or two. Beyond that, anything is fair game. As Dahlia goes, I've never had her myself, but her ability looks like it would make her a solid lightning rod against magic users, since her natural valkyrie MR would be used in place of her defense, allowing her to boost her attack with no real penalty. Seems like a good asset. Looks like her AW passive is really good in the long run, too. If you're feeling pressed for resources, a simple Elaine is always nice to keep around instead.

Also, I know I said to take him off the team, but good job getting Leo up to level 40 and min cost early. Work on Hector when you find yourself with some breathing room. Having those two around at 4 cost each is really useful in the long run. They can make some maps a lot less painful.

But yes, you can generally use a few of the oddball classes to half-ass the others -sometimes.- The beauty of archers is that they have a huge damage boost to flying enemies, which are plentiful. Pirates and rangers can do ranged damage, sure, but they're not generally a solid replacement due to the plentiful nature of flying enemies in most of the game's maps.

Like I said, that list is meant to carry you through the vast majority of maps in the game with a balanced approach. You can get by without it with some clever finagling, but it becomes less than ideal.

My man Kojuro sure can replace Bernice, same health roughly, 3 block vs 4 is fine against anything that bernice would be blocking cause he kills so much faster, only real difference is when they don't have their skills up, Bernice has a noticebly larger amount of defense, Kojuro still gets his up that tiny bit faster due to it being a tier IV skill. Monks are rogues that trade the assassination for a more anti-rush role with 2 block and generally better stats. Bandits are HP tanks with slow hard-hitting attacks that sunder high def and armor types making them excellent gankers and decent duelists.

Is it just me or are the gacha rates gimped in Nutaku FKG? Started out at nutaku and I've managed to get only 1 gold unit out of god knows how many 11-pulls (BB most of my Gold units show up in single draws and guaranteed tickets) whereas in DMM I seem to score at least 1 gold at almost every 11-draw I made(only 2 duds so far)

Also, for this event, make sure to hit the raid bosses for the items you need to get and upgrade the event unit. Even if you are not capable of beating the stages, as long as you hit (doesn't matter how much dmg you do, the higher level the mob the better reward) them you will get enough to max her with ease.

TLDR: Make sure to spend your raid points on the high level (7x-90) raid bosses while you try to snatch some flower stones from the event itself.

The last run I overcompensated for my tank dying and having no blockers. So I kept knights out as blockers for the last wave that I never made it to because I didn't drop my archer.

They recently changed her passive. It adds 5% attack now, putting her just shy of Spica's attack. The boost also helps offset the penalty on her SAW.

I never thought it was really all that worth AWing her before, but the extra attack they just added has me reconsidering. She might actually be my next AW. And then I'll bring Bella up to like CC50 or something in case her targeting becomes an issue.

Healer and archer get very important range benefits from CC, so they're the most immediately beneficial classes to CC. Heavy and soldier get more survivability, so I'd say they're next priority. It really depends on your playstyle, though.

Also, some people might not have Spica at the time and needed an awakened archer. Like me when the trading post didn't have her up a year back.

Flamel is so good. I have her on CC35 and she already outheals all the maxed silver healers at a base lower cost and on a melee slot. At max she will be able to outheal a maxed Iris. While costing 3 UP less.
The fact she can tank about as hard as Bernice is just icing on the cake. Though her health pool is much poorer.

I want to start working on awakening units so I checked the wiki and it mentions the orbs needed but in the game it does not when I look at what is needed and it says that I need CCed silvers, do I need them to be max level and affection too?

Silvers are fodder and do not need any affection or levels, 30CC1 silvers are enough, you don't need to invest anything else in them.

For awakening you need 3 golds or CCed silvers (you should cc them at lvl 30 since they will be used as fodder, no affection needed), one awakening fairy (100 DC crystals) and the correspondent amount of orbs depending on rarity and class, for example a gold soldier requires one soldier orb, plat two and black three. Special classes may require several class orbs. Also 200k gold for gold tier, 250k for plat and 300k for black.
