I went with Luca my first playthrough and didn't regret it. She was really interesting, because she wasn't a nice person, and I thought the pay off was worth it, especially hearing Hartes ciel, melenas walasye in the game and just getting to see how she'd changed by the end of the game.

But I thought the great thing was you couldn't go wrong in that game. The Jakuri ending is excellent, Cloche is a great character, and Luca is a really interesting character.

Speaking of Jakuri, after checking auction sites every day for four months, I finally found a Mir dakimakura cover. I was getting ready for a bid war, but I ended up being the only bidder.

I'm glad I didn't post about it here, fuck that one anon four months ago, I bet he doesn't even love Mir.

Finally done with Tyria's Binary field but i have never been so frustrated with bugs. In my 40+ hour playthrough I've ran into text glitches and it even freeze up in a few times with Harvestasha Boss fight but none can compare to the audio sync in Tyria's CS3. I did all i can like restarting the game, cleaning up the disc and the problem persists!

Much to my horror Ar Nosurge has more glitches than Qoga and what's more, those glitches were "ported" over to the Vita version.

"It isn't a bug, it's a feature". The only game-breaking bug I encountered was Delta's lightning attack against a car enemy. Quite frustrating, but avoidable. Recently I started replaying it and the patch fixed quite a bit of minor errors, usually in the localization field. It's interesting what you're saying about AT3, though. The game froze only once for me (same battle) and I didn't spot other obvious bugs. Maybe some of them are "malicious" enough to show up only in certain circumstances.

Ar Tonelico 3 was released in Japan in January of 2010, while Krt Hymneth was released in February of 2013. Three years. Also the gap between AT 2 and AT3 was about two and a half years.

Ar Nosurge was released in Japan in March of 2014. So, two years ago. As you implied, too soon to tell.

I'm really new when it comes to Atelier games, so I was thinking is it okay to get Sophie when it releases? I have only finished Rorona Plus and I loved it, but nothing else from the series. Do I miss out anything, like story stuff, if I don't play other games before Sophie?

Of the modern Ateliers, the three sub series are Rorona-Totori-Meruru, Ayesha-Escha&Logy-Shallie, and Sophie-[inevitable sequels because Gust will die if it goes a year without making an Atelier game], so the only games you would remotely spoil yourself for by playing are Meruru, E&L, and Shallie.

Even then, there's very little as far as important revelations/plot points that the later games spoil about the early games. The only remotely major one I can remember is that Meruru has a scene that spoils the true ending of Totori, but that's about it.

What is it with Nipps and their love for authority figures? It's clear that Ion is the avatar of the writer with her "ideals" and the writing for the scenarios to reinforce them, but still.

Watching Ion in chapters 4 and 5 is absolutely painful, and it goes deeper than poor writing. Ion throwing away the lives of everybody around her because Ion trusts the authority figure more than the people risking their lives to save her, even after she just about catches said authority figure red handed is something I can let pass once - she was young and naive, and then she should learn a valuable lesson... Only she doesn't, and instead does it again and AGAIN.

Does she get better in Ar noSurge,?please tell me she was locked in the box long enough to learn a valuable lesson. pls, If Ion is this painful to watch, I will probably have trouble with coordination in combat due to the amount of alcohol I will need to be able to stand it.

That's a common theme in Gust games, really- there are very few actual "evil" characters, and the ones who are generally aren't the main villains. Arland and Dusk's final bosses generally were forces of nature more than characters, Ar Tonelico 1's final boss is redeemed in its true ending, Ar Tonelico 2 is basically you kicking the asses of a series of people who want to save the world in "wrong" ways before you save it the "right" way, and Ar Tonelico 3's final battle is basically you healing the final boss.

That said, Nosurge is probably the game(s) with the clearest villains. Of the main ones Nelo's made out to be sympathetic enough, but Zill pulls way too much shit to be seen as anything but completely fucking evil- when you fight and beat her and Nelo early on in Ar Nosurge and she goes "well yeah you're trying to save humanity just like I am so I'll let you go" I wanted the dialogue option to scream "HEY REMEMBER THAT TIME ZILL KIND OF GOT HER WAY AND IT FUCKED THINGS UP SO BAD NAY HAD TO REVERSE TIME IN ORDER TO FIX IT?" And then of course there's The Neckbeard Who Interdimends Into Prim.

Yes. Support is in reference to customer support. I had to get in touch with them about my sharls going missing once back my ciel online days.

Servers != Customer Support. The server reduction is happening next month. You'll notice that 2016-June isn't one of the support termination dates.

So yeah, servers will remain up. It'll just be harder to connect during busy times. They're probably bringing it down to single instance so probably 20, 30 connections allowed at a time.

Is there any breast envy in Atelier Sophie from any of the girls? Or just any implications that huge tits are better or any breast nonsense scenes in general? This is important. I'd like to believe this game is tasteful enough to avoid this kind of garbage.
