OP could use some cleaning up if you need space, isn't necessary to have all those Eng wiki links that are from the same site. Just put the main wiki link and remove them. If you want to condense it more you can keep main games that get discussed regularly in the OP and put the rest into a pastebin or remove them.

Reason why DMM thread won't survive is because Nutaku shares games with DMM, and takes discussions out of the DMM thread. The only game that got discussed before DMM thread died was FKG and whatever FOTM was at the time.

My mistake while learning japanese on my own is that I didn't follow the normal route, which is probably either jouyou kanji or jlpt kanji. Instead, I went with http://www.kanjidamage.com/
Managed to get up to around 1k kanjis though.

But the bigger problem is that I have really basic knowledge of the grammar and non-kanji words. stuff like yori, dake, kereba and so on and so forth.

So what is this "reading route" you speak of?

Assuming I can talk about DMM games here, has anyone tried Seiken Manifesta? New game released roughly a week ago with game mechanics that resemble Aegis. On the plus side, it has voices, a better interface and arguably better art.

It plays out a bit more like a single player RTS. Kinda like Aegis if you could move around units. You send out units around to conquer villages/towers and the objective is to conquer the enemy castle. Similarly if your castle gets destroyed you lose. Various different unit types and skills exist.

There's not much content out yet being very new but as soon as you hit world 2 you can see that the game gets pretty damn tricky if you want to 3 star.

Awakening is something used to make maps easier, is good to have sure, but not neccessary.
We are rolling post-awakening-patched events on Nutaku just fine for example and even on DMM many players awakened their units after a lot of time just because.
At least this is my opinion, maybe i'm just that guy willing to have revive/story maps instead of awakening, you can just ignore me.

A little bit of both. As I understand it, it's only available to Gold+ units that are max level and max affection; it ups their level cap to 99, gives them a unique passive ability on top of their old ability, and changes their artwork (generally for the sexier, for female units)

I do know enough Japanese to play the game on DMM, yet I will always prefer playing it on my language if possible. Also, I don't know how it'll be like endgame but for time being it doesn't actually matter much whether or not you have a SSR. What really matters is that you have a good set of units (namely units like gunners that make a world of difference in strategy)

For the record, the difference between SR and SSR is just that SSR has somewhat more stats, in return it costs more to summon as well. There's no difference in skills and I think the most significant difference is that SSRs level cap at 99, SR+ at 80 and SR at 70. Its not "efficiency", its "max possible drop / stamina cost", which is far from expected value if you factor in drop rate.
Only god-tier maps have 100% drop, and only with AW thief, drop rate falls rapidly with fall of difficulty. Only 50/7 map has decent rates compared to god-tier.

What you have to understand about the Japanese and statistics is that, for some unknown reason that I don't really get, they really really seem to like to put completely useless pieces of information into their tables. I have no idea why, but I see this kind of stuff all the time.

What they're doing here is give you the ratio of the MAXIMUM possible drop.... per stamina. Don't ask me why, I have no idea what that number is good for. It's about as useful as saying "oh look how efficient the lottery is, you buy a ticket for 1 dollar and it can be worth up to a billion!".

How rare are mimic encounters in Hitsuji?

Depends on the dungeon, normally the last dungeon in an area can spawn more than 4 mimics per run.

Do all characters in Hitsuji start with fixed skills?
Can you please give me some general tips on awakening? When should I use it?

Every character get fixed skills at their higher rank (that's why you should evolve them ASAP).
General tips? Awakening is based on RNG.
Everytime you awake a skill you are basically rolling that slot with another random skill taked from the pool, based on Element and unit "Class".
You should use them only if you feel like your girl can get something better and in case she got 2 skills with similar effect or crappy ones.
Still, like i've said, is completely RNG based and you may get skills even worse than the original.
