I'm not the guy you replied to, but how does that prove she is rich? Guns are a lot more restricted in Japan, then say the United States, but they are not impossible to own. So i was bored thinking about this whole Sakura center thing and i think Sakura is indeed the most logic center choice for this single. Before you bitch at me i'm not a huge fan or Sakura or anything, this is just some random thoughts.

First we have the first the 5 returning "legends", i thought "why not just go with Acchan as center", but that would be implying Acchan is more important/relevant than the other 4. Maybe she is, but for this single each 5 needs to have the same status since they are all coming back at the same time.
The second thought is "make Sasshi or even Mayu the center since they are the face of nowday's AKB", but then i realize they are both from the same "age" of the five legends. I'm using the word "age" here and not generation, which is used for actual generations in AKB, but what i'm poiting is they are all from the same period, time, age. If we end with Sasshi or Mayu as center that would imply that they are above the five returning legends, and they are the top girls of that AKB's age. We really were in need of a fresh face as the center to not create this kind of problems, the less related to the legends the better.
So my last idea was "Let's use the new faces to finally let them shine", Mion and her friends popped up in my mind (Mion, Mako, Naanya, whoever you think as the new wave). But i realized how important this single can be, with the legends coming back and all, and the only one with little experience as center was Mion at Heavy Rotation, which was picked by Yuko herself. But that's not even a single, none of these has experience in an actual big single.
This is where Sakura comes up, she did perfectly fine with Mayu in Kibouteki and Aki-p probably thought she's ready to be center all by herself, she just fits, is new, has experience and it's not directly related to the old faces.

Finally i also thought of Paruru but i think she's in a place between the old age and the new wave which is hard to describe. And to be honest i don't think she fits, and i bet Paruru thinks the same.

Mako has been in 5 A-sides, two of them 16 member senbatsus. Granted her popularity seems to be wavering, and she wasn't even included in this single, but that's more than Mion has.

But if we limit ourselves to just the 16 chosen for this single, the choices come down to only Sakura, Sayanee, Paruru, Yui, and Mion.

As you've said, Mion doesn't have enough experience yet (well... I'm not sure I agree, but that aside...)

Paruru would have been a great choice, but her health doesn't seem stable, and frankly it's probably unwise to invest too heavily in her going forward :/

Either Yui or Sayanee would have been more appropriate for a transitional single, especially this single. Why this year? In Yui's case, she was just made General Manager, and the previous single was led by the old General Manager. Also, she's actually an AKB member. Sayanee is at peak popularity, and still technically a new gen (NMB was created in late 2010). She has far more experience than Sakura, her center song on the B-side of Kuchibiru was more popular than the A-side, etc. The only problem with making her center that I can see is that she already seems overworked.
