I don't know, I'd enjoy to see something that feels like "playing the manga series", whether it's the most generic JRPG or not. Where the goal isn't to beat up everyone, you're just having chats and investigating the series' lore.

But yeah, it's fangame territory, too cool for ZUN I guess.

There are four official serializations now; WaHH, FS, CoLA, and the new Sangetsusei. There'll be another SCoOW in the spring, possibly with info on or even a demo of a new spinoff game for this year.

If there is a spinoff game, it can't be a fighter, and it's also too soon for another Bunkachou-type game. On the other hand, there have only been two previous years in which no games were released, one in which he was writing a new engine and the other in which he was getting married. So, who knows?

All in all, there'll be stuff happening this year, but probably nothing too exciting.
