Why does the mosque look like a church?
>>76387209
Noice.
Do you have pics of Quechua villages?
>>76387245
It's probably a church, or it's like that for traditional style.
300,000 kabyles converted into Christianity between 2010 and 2013 so it's a possibility.
Here's a village with a mosque.

I'll google some.
This is Tinta, the town where I was born.

Cozy
>>76387403
Thanks.
And this is the Valle Sagrado. I used to live in that little town over there before getting married
>>76387403
Jewish village
>>76387444
Are this mountains tropical, Mediterranean or temperate in climate?
>>76387488
Depends on altitude level and latitude.
Are there any comfy villages I could move to but easily work online
>>76387533
Woah that's a nice mix of climates
>>76387537
Those are probably in Europe only.
All work in Kabylie village is traditional (Farmer, Builder, Lumberjack, Priest, Teacher, Blacksmith etc..)
But European villages coast a fuckton to live in while Algerian ones barely cost a thing.
Old Ollantaytambo town. Most of our average villages in the Andes looks like this.
>>76387537
It's difficult since most of our towns and villages are still undeveloped.
Give Perú some more years.
>>76387594
Also North Africans are shorter than whites so you might have trouble travelling through the town.

>No Euro posted in thread so far
I thought Europe had the best villages.
>>76387704
None. That's part of the creek that passed over there before they build the city. These channels allow you to flow freely through the city.
Some kids use it to play, and yeah, there are always some people who put stuff in there but that's not it's natural purpose.
>>76387812
Most of them are sleeping now I guess.
>>76387835

>>76387887
>>76387289
Why are Kabyles converting to Christianity?
>>76387942
They hate Arabs because they lack rights, and they think Islam is related to Arabic.
Others just hated Islam.
Here's the inside of the average house in a Kabyle village
>>76388145
What is that floor? Stone?
>>76388158
What kind of people live in places like this? Where is it?
>>76388170
Marble
>>76388158
Looks pretty nice.
Is it mostly European-origin people that live there?
>>76388158
>>76388198
Looks French btw
>>76388060
Why do Kabyles seem to be the only ones who care about this?
Also, to contribute to your thread, this is Tlalpujahua, is a popular religious pilgrimage site from the region I live and it's also famous for Christmas ornaments. Mexican villages aren't really pretty t b h
>>76388279
Riffians do too, but they are more conservatives.
Berberism started in Kabyle as an opposition against the Arabization of Algeria. and many activists were accused of Blasphemy at that time and Kabyles weren't accepted in the Muslim community, which made them isolated and let them communicate less with Muslims and as a result become less religious in Islam.
So they either convert to Sufi Islam or to Christianity.
>>76388196
>>76388213
As far as I know, mostly portuguese descendent people. We didn't have much french influence here.
It's Ouro Preto, in Minas Gerais state.
>>76388334
Is there no pushback from the Algerian government or from non-Kabyles? I thought it was technically illegal to change religions in Algeria.
>>76388401
Do Germans have their own villages or did they not care enough to build ones?
>>76388416
It is but they government can barely do anything about it.
Non-Kabyles don't care, except Haut Plaines Arabs who are butthurt but it doesn't do much.
Al Qaeda is doing some kidnappings lately.
>>76388452

>>76388462
Is this native American?
>>76388421
They used to live in villages, but nowadays they live in normal cities. But there are still some small towns with german majority, where kids still learning german language and culture at school.
>>76388522
Mind if you share some. That seems interesting.
I've always viewed Br as a place with different ethnicities united under one culture and language.
>>76388616
Those roofs are a cute
People here used to live in turf houses.
Today the Faroese design their houses with grass roofs
>>76388452
What is the percentage of Kabyles in Algeria?
>>76388712
The grass is used against cold right?
>>76388735
~23% can speak it.
Probably even more Arabized ones.
Not all Kabyles are Christians btw, not even a majority.
>>76388507
I Think its a reconstructed norse house from New Foundland
>>76388735
Looks nice
>>76388772
Wew, looks like an ultra cozy hobbit hole.
>>76386945
>>76388744
Yes the turf provides insulation
>>76388564
I found some videos about Vale Europeu (a region in Santa Catarina state with german majority). There is some other regions with german majority in Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul states (like Gramado, Canela, Caxias do Sul, Bento Gonçalves), but I don't know much about them tbqh.

Most were destroyed by Germans, some architectural wonders were burned down and demolished Communists. There are still nice things intact but few people are interested in keeping our heritage. Despise to Russian culture comes in an education package unfortunately. Especially in capitals.
>>76388791
This style of Architecture is top notch
how common is it?
>>76388807
The village in the second video seems nice.

>>76388762
Are all Kabyles supportive of berberism? Do you think the possibility exists of a majority of them converting? Or are the conversions happening on a specific subset of the Kabyle population?
>>76388942
Kabylia is next to Mediterranean maybe that's why.
And Bejaia was once captured by Spaniards.
>>76388974
Yeah they're all Berberists.
I believe a mass conversion can happen but only when apostasy is not illegal.
>>76388838
Well, I've only seen then in the west part of the country, mostly in Falcon state, so I guess is not common. The first Spanish towns and settlements are located there.
Wow, looking for images of these comfy towns made me remember that this shithole o a country could be a really lovely place to live if we take care of it
Thanks for making this thread based Algerian man
>>76388974
Hmm looks like a comfy colonial favela
>>76389012
What is the Muslim Kabyle population like? Are the vast majority of them meme Muslims?
>>76386945
Comfy as fuck
we have nothing but ruins full of goats
>>76389165
Sufis mostly, some are Sunnis.
>>76389227

>>76389328
might post some since bait didn't work
this is a 4k pop small town just few kms fro my city, as a example
>>76389499
this is a even smaller Kazimierz Dolny near Kraków
>>76389499
Is it built by Polish people or by Germunz?
>>76389528
this is Bystrzyca Kłodzka
colonial/post colonial
>>76389558
It was German for 170 years, just like whole Warmia(region where I live) so it was partly build by Germans but this part of the region always had a Polish majority.
Another tiny town near my city(Olsztyn).
>>76389564
Fortified villages are the best.
We have none ;-;
>>76389617
I see.
I can't differentiate different types of central euro architecture anyways (Except Austrian).
>>76389617
Small town of Chełmno, near Toruń I think. under 20k pop I think.
>>76389620
We have hundreds, luckily. It's the specific of a country, you have warm beautiful sea, we have brick walls.
>>76389677
We wouldn't need them much anyways because mountains. But I personally think they're aesthetic.
>>76389677
Village of Stary Sącz in the mountains.

>>76389620
>>76389677
How do you feel about intramuros?
>>76389748
oh my fuck that's pretty. Kinda reminds me of this one overwatch map.
>>76389766
Looks Lat American.
Was built by colonists?
>>76389725
Sandomierz(under 20k pop I think).
>>76389702
They are and I can fully understand why you love them because we share that feeling. There is something about them that's super cosy and walking on an alley between a really old building and old city walls, in dim lantern light after a evening out at a local restaurant is ultra climatic.
>>76389805
Kłodzko, 20k pop?
>>76389805
Yeah, they make you feel protected and surrounded. Plus helps you get attached to the place.
>>76389790
yes, it was built for Spanish for Spanish citizens only. Indios (native MOST POWERFUL RACE) and Chinese were allowed in to do business but could never live inside.
These days it's a slow moving city, some of the buildings are still used, some are tourist attractions but most of it just has this rustic, twilight feel.
Comfy desu
>>76389848
Do you find pictures of slums minus the trash and the people unironically comfy?
>>76389853
Do you live there or do you just visit from time to time?
The French built part of Algiers is all used up.
>>76389840
Cieplice Zdrój.
>>76389766
>intramuros
What's that? I'm not familiar with the term.
*Sigh* It must be nice to live in a country that has gorgeous traditional villages and culture. There's no building or village older than 250 years here.
>>76389864
Depends on where they are and how they look.
But Walled cities are way way superior than Slums.
>>76389887
Another small town from the series of >>76389617
and >>76389499 , that is a place located within 25kms from my city.
>>76389872
visit, my parents used to go there for church, I still go there, not for the masses, but for the feeling of sitting inside that church. Building is really ornate and A E S T H E T I C.
>>76389887
Literally "within the walls", see >>76389853
>>76389896
i just like being hugged, if it can't be a grill might as well be concrete
>>76389895
>>76389950
That's interesting, didn't know the Spanish did much in the Philippines
Yeah I love that feeling, it makes me forget the pain of the world
>>76389932
Small town of Jarosław.
>>76389985
Do these towns have all facilities required or are they situated near a major city which does?
>>76389981
> didn't know the Spanish did much in the Philippines
nigger what
Philippines was spanish for centuries, the name comes from a spanish king, before them there was no """""Philippines""""", just a collection of various small tribes and kingdoms.
Kind of like the USA
>>76389985
Small town of Nowa Ruda(20k pop?).
I mean there's so much it's impossible to post them all. When it comes to city centers and old towns we got a lot of them so I think I'll let others do some posting as well.
>>76390014
I know. but I thought it was too far away from Spain for it to build anything that isn't trading ports and centers.
lots of comfy pictures ITT
>>76390008
They got hospitals, schools etc. Most small towns do but Poland is also quite cramped so there's a state capital city max 100-150 km from every small town/village.
now imagine living there
>>76390051
One last picture for the guy that likes walls around villages.
I think it's named Byczyna or something, the village.
>>76390039
I must visit North someday.
>>76390051
It's similar here, also some towns are connected to cities through teleferik (Pic related).
>>76390072
The park is nice but I prefer this :3
>>76390086
Truly Ebin.
Just needs some gates for decoration to add more atmosphere
>>76390026
Philippines was Spain's major holding in Asia iirc, it provided a way to get spices and a stopover on the way to China, etc.
Of course we always and still outnumber the Spanish but they left a few things behind.
Fun fact: Philippines was on the east of the line, I think it was the Treaty of Zaragoza, so we shoulda been Portuguese. They already had places in India and Indonesia so they didn't force the issue when Spain came along.
The oldest stuff is colonial in the NW region.
>>76390136
Imagine being a Portuguese colony. You might end up as the Brazil of Asia rather than the Mexico of it.
>>76390115
that looks comfy yet it looks too much of a town, it lacks that village spirit to it you feel me?
>>76390150
Colonial stuff is welcome too. Specially Lat Am.
>>76390151
i honestly can't tell the difference except being a lot better at football
>>76390209
Maybe having some Macanese people and more mixed people?
Plus probably more settlement.
>>76390184
The natives here were literally stone age-tier, we don't have any pyramids or elaborate things from them. Everything is relatively new.
>>76390346
any comfy cave dwellings for me desu?
like armenians?
>>76390404
Never heard about cave houses here desu.

It has St. Augustine's hand in it as a relic
>>76390673
Is it just bone now?
>>76390625
I think you don't know what a monastery is.
They differ from region to region from palace like monasteries to keep monasteries.
>>76390716
Yeah probably
>>76390725
This is how it looks from the inside.
>>76390750
We have hundreds if not thousands of monastieries.
This is a keep monastery, very iconic for Poles, in Jasna Góra(Bright Mountain).
>>76390725
We have a hidden castle-monastery
>>76390785
This is a monastery as well, just as old.
>>76390790

Small shithole called Wschowa.
>>76391376
It has "city" walls as well.
central anatolia

Actually that's what's left of Poland. Most cities and small towns were destroyed here in at least 40-50% no country ever suffered such war losses in city infrastructure.
If it wasn't for WW2 we'd have not hundreds of small towns like this but over a thousand easily.
