>The reason for Treacy's stance? It's not that he doesn't agree that MMA is a sport like some others. It's that there is no governing body for the sport in Ireland. For football read the FAI, for gaelic games read GAA, for golf read GUI, for rugby - the IRFU. Each sport in Ireland must have a governing body to be recognised under Sports Ireland and be in line to receive grants and funding.

UFC isn't a sport under any definition regardless since it's a self regulated for profit private company. It's a private entertainment company simulating sport similar to WWE.
>>
>>76086174
>an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.
you're wrong doe

it not being seen as a sport """officially""" because of such things is irrelevant to what we're talking about
>>
>>76086208
Sure, and competing to wank into a bucket first is a sport in the loose sense.
>>
>>76086174
besides the UFC isn't the sport itself, MMA is, UFC is the body through which the sport is organized and MMA is actually recognized as a sport in the US officially
>>
>>76086260
if you were to boil it down it would be, and the only reason you wouldn't see it as such is your subjective perspective of that sport as one requiring less skills/skills you "disagree" with

The sport of kings.
>>
>>76086273
MMA has the capacity to be a sport with correct regulation and a not for profit body, correct.
The reason why I don't see UFC or McGregor as participating in a sport is because of the for profit nature of the controlling body. We have no idea if fights are fixed similar or scripted similar to entertainment fighting and there would be no consequence to UFC other than their reputation if they were. The point of a not for profit regulatory body is as a safety net to preserve the integrity of a sport against financial gain or any other motives. UFC doesn't have that so who knows how genuine it is, it might be or it might not.

Visualise a scenario where you could enjoy your day and feel satisfied with your life. Plot and plan what needs to happen or change in your life to achieve that vision. Happiness is achieved through achieving those small targets from the sense that your journey is getting you closer to your dream. Whether you ever reach the dream or not is irrelevant.

If you can't visualise such a scenario then you've reached a point of depression where the very concept of happiness has been lost to you.

I don't think all of 4chan is as bad as certain segments. I would say generals like this, /pol/ or /r9k/ are the absolute worst places to frequent for your mental health. Those places are filled with the hobbyless depressed and an environment which encourages them to self-reflect on their misery and share hatred, scorn and jealousy on the lives and decisions of others.
At least in places like /v/, /a/, /tv/, /mu/, /fit/ there is a focus on an actual hobby. Even if everyone there is cynical or negative they're still united out of passion for something they care about. A love of something other than schadenfreude.
The previous places I mentioned, including this general are just bottomless pits for hatred and negative emotion. You'll never find satisfaction here.

The normie advice for this would be to change your surroundings or travel the world. Take yourself out of your comfort zone to try and find out what really matters to you and what motivates you in life.

Had a great dream where I was down the lake and there was a very pretty building all along the shoreline. Very big and lots of stained glass windows, think it was a convent or something. It was also in central Russia which happened to be in space very close to Jupiter. It was beautiful.

Much better than the dream where my brother tried to convince me The Lord of Rings ended in some bullshit way.

It doesn't feel any better earning more than that. You still have no time to enjoy it and nothing to spend it on to make your life better in a meaningful way.

Everyone notices the weight. It just means you need to do some exercise as opposed to none to stay slim.
Hair will do what it wants, no point worrying about it. There are lads in school who are practically bald and 70 year olds with a full head of hair.

If you're pro-life, you surely believe a foetus is a life. If you then still believe in a "right to choose", you believe in a right to choose to commit murder, which would make you more despicable than the pro-abortion people.

But I suppose I'm a city boy. Big crowds or noise don't bother me in the slightest. If any major city is dirt it's London. I usually go over at least once a year for a gig when a band doesn't stop over in Ireland and I never enjoy it

Dubliners have a constant chip on the shoulder. They seem incapable of discussing other parts of the country without being disrespectful.
They're very hung up on size and gravitas as well. They love telling you how small other cities seem in comparison or how bigger their shopping centres are. Even foreigners notice it and think it strange, I've known English students here before commenting on how Londoners typically don't look on places like Manchester or Newcastle in the same manner as Dubliners do on Cork or Limerick.

There were two old lads sitting on a bench across from the primary few years back. Once the parents came to collect the kids one of them took his cock out and the other sucked off. He's not allowed out during the daytime anymore.
I was in secondary at the time and we all thought it was hilarious.

I missed the train to our Halloween party with my friends so being young and naive I went to a dress up house party with people I didn't really know and got drunk and had my drink spiked. I woke up in a state of paralysis the next day with my clothes torn and someones blue body paint all over me and the sheets in a bloodied and soiled bed. The guys who owned the house were apologetic and gave me €100 and drove me home. They said they didn't know who did it or anyone who was an avatar character but promised not to tell anyone.

Weeaboo has lost its original meaning over the years. It originally just referred to anybody who'd curse their non-Japanese heritage and wish they could spend the rest of their lives in a slice of life anime series, but these days it just just refer to anyone who enjoys a lot of Japanese media like videogames or anime
