I generally love living here, but i'm middle class, employed, and live in a pretty wealthy suburb.

Something i've noticed about Americans is that, no matter their social class, nearly everyone has not the faintest hint of knowledge about Geography, History, or Literature. Everyone I know completely masters their craft/trade, and then "knows" everything else by simply asserting a strong opinion about something they have no education about whatsoever.

I'd say the average American suffers heavily from dunning-kruger.

I love the people, I was once in NYC and the people were very friendly and nice, not very polite but who wants politeness when you have a friendly smile in return.
