The people that lived in Southern Corsica and North Eastern Sardinia were called the Corsi in Roman times and were basically the same people.

Those staues though date to more than 1000 before the Romans arrived. on our islands.

You know since I was a kid people in Sardinia always used to say that you should be wary of Corsicans because they are quick to pick up the guns, but I really never had a problem with you guys, I know we don't share much history but you're there, our only neighbor floating in the same sea as ours, being accused of being weird by continentals like we are, I just think our islands are twins and in quietness we rest together.

Corsican language is extremely similar to Gallurese (North Eastern Sardinian) it's almost the same language.
But Campinadese Sardinian and Barbaricino Sardinian are really different from it.

I can understand it almost perfectly but I'm from north eastern Sardinia and we speak a language very similar to Corsican, I think other variants of Sardinian are a lot more different.

Our reputation I don't know, I think they don't consider us really Italians, we're just the odd ones in the bunch who like to wave their own flag, eat their own food and engage in island people stuff like drinking a lot and being cold to foreigners, also sheep shaggers, that one is the continental's favourite meme lel

About the guns and people only killing people they know it's true here as well, not everywhere but there are some towns where families kept killing each other's members for decades, every year just before Christmas holidays there's someone that gets the rifle treatment over something.
