Hello cousin, how is life on the other side of the sea?
Besides, Sardinia and Corsica history thread?
I see you have some version of Nuraghi too, even if fewer and smaller.
it's nice here, quiet as usual and warm as the devil's balls, what about there?
it's been a while since I've been to your side of the sea, I need to come sometime soon, here's a photo of your white cliffs I took last year.
wew, best island coming through
Same, quiet and warm, feels good.
I always thought Sardinia was an improved version of Corsica, you have the same beautiful landscapes, the same climate and the same beautiful villages without the high homicide rate that we have.
Filitosa is not so far from my home, very interesting. Unfortunately I don't know so much about this part of Corsica history.
The people that lived in Southern Corsica and North Eastern Sardinia were called the Corsi in Roman times and were basically the same people.
Those staues though date to more than 1000 before the Romans arrived. on our islands.
You know since I was a kid people in Sardinia always used to say that you should be wary of Corsicans because they are quick to pick up the guns, but I really never had a problem with you guys, I know we don't share much history but you're there, our only neighbor floating in the same sea as ours, being accused of being weird by continentals like we are, I just think our islands are twins and in quietness we rest together.
I like Corsicans and I like your land it's what I'm trying to say.
And to any foreigner who might be wonder why we (Sards) are weird here's a video.
I'm already your #1 fan Sardinian history anon thb :DD
Everyone have a gun here so they tend to settle problems with it. Normal guys don't have anything to fear, most of the homicide are between mafiosis, independantists or people you know each other for a long time (neighbours, family or friends). Paradoxically we are also one of the safest place in France. Women can walk alone in the night in a bad neighbourhood without having anything to fear, etc...
What's the reputation of Sardinians in continental Italy ? We have a reputation of being dangerous racists mafiosis and you ?
Also did Sardinians can understand Corsican language ?
my sister was telling me just today about the myth that tells the history of the isle of Tavolara as the ship that brought the Feaci here and was then was turned into stone by Nausicaa's father (I think)
Corsican language is extremely similar to Gallurese (North Eastern Sardinian) it's almost the same language.
But Campinadese Sardinian and Barbaricino Sardinian are really different from it.
I can understand it almost perfectly but I'm from north eastern Sardinia and we speak a language very similar to Corsican, I think other variants of Sardinian are a lot more different.
Our reputation I don't know, I think they don't consider us really Italians, we're just the odd ones in the bunch who like to wave their own flag, eat their own food and engage in island people stuff like drinking a lot and being cold to foreigners, also sheep shaggers, that one is the continental's favourite meme lel
About the guns and people only killing people they know it's true here as well, not everywhere but there are some towns where families kept killing each other's members for decades, every year just before Christmas holidays there's someone that gets the rifle treatment over something.
Does it count if you city is made up of islands? If so 125,000 people live on my island
Feels good man
How about less than 40k?
38.5k, and dropping like a rock because it's a remote part of Denmark with industries and businesses dying left and right
>tfw I'm probably the only guy from here posting on /int/ and I tend to blog about what a shithole it is
show pic, still must be a different experience because you are part of something bigger still
i could meme and say i live on one of the multiple islands in bermuda like hinsons island and there would only be a population of like 25 or so - but that would misrepresent the situation
yes, its pretty peaceful and a great place in the summer
Its definitely more connected, but thats also why the regression in population and business is more noticable.
>show a pic
A pic of what? Google has been giving me trouble and had to switch to my phone, dont have any here and its pitchblack outside kek
I will post a pic of some shit I have photographed if the thread is still up in 6 hours time
Tourism is nonexistent in the winter m8. In the summer there's tons of tourism though.
