However, if you want a more "organically grown" example, compare Indian language speakers to Basque ones. Indians, while being genetically half Australoid, still speak an IE language while Basques which are genetically very close to their surrounding people don't. Or Hungarians - genetically and culturally closer to South Slavs, West Slavs and to some extant Austrians - yet their language is closest to that of some mixed Eurasian people in Russian Siberia (Khanty/Mansy), even Finns are more distant ethno-culturally to them than the aforementioned groups
