>>53949270 honestly the dumbest election add I have ever seen, 1 minute of an old man hanging out with farmers, black people, old people, children and then a bunch of crowds cheering what the fuck was the point of that? do Americans seriously watch this ad and say to themselves 'hey this guy knows what the fuck he's doing, I'll vote for him'
>>53950285 >who are one of the only demographics that actually like Hillary. She's popular with minorities too for some reason, not like he actually gives the slightest shit about them. 10 years ago she was staunchly against gay marriage, and openly laughed about a rape victim. Now the establishment has groomed and rebranded her into "Progressive Hillary". The right Hillary for 2016.
>>53950312 >>53950351 oh god they should be railing against it because everything said in the ad is fucking ridiculous
>ban muslims entering america yeah coz that won't hurt the economy or face legal challenges >cut the head off isis and take their oil yep super easy thing to do, no problems whatsoever will be encountered there >stop illegal immigration by building a wall mexico will pay for yeah I'm sure all of those things will happen
Almost everything trump says is populist grandstanding and would be almost impossible to achieve in reality.
>>53950448 >ban muslims entering america You're forgetting the follow up that says until proper and effective vetting procedures can be put in place. Which is something that the dems did during the Iranian hostage crisis.
>>53950489 and it makes me wonder what a trump presidency would look like, because I honestly have no idea at this point.
>>53950490 >>53950492 vetting procedures is fine but that's a totally different thing from banning an entire religion. I aint no big city lawyer, but I'm pretty sure that would be unconstitutional. At the very least I'm sure plenty of groups like the ACLU would be mounting challenges against it.
>>53950646 >Which is perfectly legal I'd like to see your legal arguments tb'h >>53950646 >And given recent terrorist events and such, is perfectly rational It's not frankly, it's extremely divisive, creates an "us vs them" attitude and some groups have already used trump saying that in terrorist recruiting ads. Just because something seems rational at first glance, doesn't mean it is.
>>53950691 Carter did the same thing in the 80's. >Major terrorist attacks involving "refugees" >Spikes in crime, rape, everything. All related to "refugees" >ISIS has stated they are recruting and infiltrating "refugees" >He doesn't think it's rational to temporarily stop muslims/"refugees" from coming into the country, until proper security measures can be emplaced. The only people swayed by terrorist recruiting ads, weren't rational to begin with. Even "moderate" muslims, are extreme.
>>53950691 We already done did it amigo. Seriously though people outside the US aren't entitiled to anything here. As for the terrorist propaganda, it's propaganda if it wasn't Trump it would be someone else.
>>53950766 >Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he deems necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens,” according to the federal Immigration and Nationality Act.
>>53950448 >yeah coz that won't hurt the economy how would that hurt the economy. mudslimes are only 0.8% of our population and mudslimes outside of america are mostly uneducated dirt farming poorfags.
>>53950722 You honestly don't think trump is helping to create more terrorists? Terrorist groups love anti-muslim sentiment, it's the bread and butter of their recruitment.
>>53950775 >>53950778 >>53950819 That's fucked. Land of the free indeed. I find it crazy that trumps supporters are conservative 2nd amendment lovers, yet they fully support his near fascist policies and overuse of government powers.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
" Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate."
It happened with Chinese Migrants during the 1800's.
US law is a lot different to Australian law, it has some superficial common law similarities but the isolationist and revolutionary way the US came about has left plenty of ways for the President to justify discriminatory policy
>>53950971 But that liberty you're referring to is for Americans. I don't care about the religious freedom of foreigners. My constitution doesn't apply to them. The Bill of Rights is a bill of rights of Americans, not a bill of rights for anyone with more than 3 brain cells who can get a plane and come here.
Yeah only foreigners are there. I don't know how many times I have to say this but if you are not a citizen you don't get constitutional rights here. This isn't the U.K or Germany were foreigners rape and pillage with de facto government protection
>>53950921 Giving her the croissant, cultural exchange The Pretzel on the lap represents the submission to the croissant who has the higher ground Hoverhand is for betas, Hollande know how to deal with women Phone is in glass so you can't hear shit if it's on tape.
>David Brock, a longtime Clinton supporter who founded the “super PAC” backing her, told The Associated Press on Thursday that the advertising presented a “bizarre” image of America focused on white voters. Mr. Brock also said the ad was a “significant slight to the Democratic base,” according to the news agency.
>“From this ad it seems black lives don’t matter much to Bernie Sanders,” Mr. Brock told The Associated Press.
Shillary's using negroes as a cudgel to smack Bernie and all his nice white progressive supporters over the head. She's going to end up pissing off a lot of white voters.
>>53951079 Yep, although I suspect it's mainly people who have to compete with them for jobs as well. That's why poor whites and blacks love Trump, because they know that mass immigration drives up their unemployment.
A college professor with tenure is the most strident supporter of it, because he knows a mexican isn't gonna come over and replace him in the sociology department.
1. Non-American citizens aren't entitled to American rights 2. Trump never said to ban Muslims from the US. He said to temporarily pause their admissions so that the screening process can be improved. There is literally nothing wrong with that. 3. Who gives a fuck if anti-Muslim sentiment creates more 'terrorists'? It just goes to show how retarded and backward they are
If these people are so easily radicalised they shouldn't be living here in the first place.
I'm not saying I agree with Trump, he's a populist and won't even enact most of these "policies", but refusing to address this issue in case we hurt the feelings of some muslims will only serve to swiften his rise to power.
All over Europe the Far Right is rising, and it's due to the pathological inability of the establishment to address the concerns of the people.
>>53951125 ffs I don't even support Sanders but come on, you can't argue that he isn't supportive for minorities. He even got arrested a few times for protesting for black's civil rights back in the day.
>>53951124 >Hollande know how to deal with women The fucked up part about this is it's not even a meme, he's the goofiest looking motherfucker but he's having affairs with babes left and right. Same with that manlet Sarkozy. Do French girls just not care as much about a guy's looks?
>>53951212 >Do French girls just not care as much about a guy's looks? Depends If you're interesting/charming(saying the right things) enough it's fine. Still Hollande and Sarkozy have power and money going on for them, it's enough to make most panties drop no matter how you look.
>>53951094 >Yeah only foreigners are there. I don't know how many times I have to say this but if you are not a citizen you don't get constitutional rights here. This isn't the U.K or Germany were foreigners rape and pillage with de facto government protection Yes I fully realise that is what you're saying. Instead america imprisons people forever without needing evidence and can kill them and frame it as suicide and get away with it. God bless.
>>53951154 It literally says in the ad he wants a "temporary ban", very easy to twist into terrorist propaganda. >3. Who gives a fuck if anti-Muslim sentiment creates more 'terrorists'? It just goes to show how retarded and backward they are ok great strategy there
>>53951178 It doesn't matter where they live, giving them propaganda material will create terrorists all over the world. And since afghanistan is falling back into taliban hands, the last thing we want is more people plotting against the west.
>>53951226 m8 I don't like islam at all, but you don't defeat an idea by fuelling it.
>>53951234 >>53951032 >>53951025 >>53951008 Yeah no shit your constitution doesn't protect foreigners but the comment I replied to asked how blocking them was restricting religious freedom and I explained how. Now maybe the plan has changed since he announced it but over here there were people reporting that it would apply to any Muslim outside US borders at the time which would also block US citizens from returning and they are protected by your constitution.
>>53950899 >Can stand up to hecklers if they are white >Not blacks strong arming him off the mic >Afraid of being called racist, so he doesn't put idiots in their place. Not only is he an idiot, he's a cuck.
>>53951304 >but you don't defeat an idea by fuelling it If people go full decapitation mode over something like this they shouldn't be in any western cunt. >>53951323 US citizens won't be left out because guess what, they actually have the right to be here.
>>53951304 >giving them propaganda material will create terrorists all over the world
So you're basically saying that our Politicians no longer have the right to speak out against the encroachment of Islam into our societies, because we may radicalise some goat fucking peasant in some distant desert? This IS actually what the terrorists want, they want us to be scared of speaking out against their political ideology because "most muslims are good people that dindu nuffin". We've been sweeping these issues under the rug for over a decade, and it's reached bursting point. We either address this openly and frankly in a public forum, or wait for the Neo Nazis to take advantage of it (which is already happening).
>>53951459 Well frankly no reasonable politician should be speaking out against one entire religion. As long as they follow our laws, then we systematically have no problem with it. The west is built on secularism, and we need to ensure our muslims value secular law over religious law, which many do. We need to assimilate them and eventually they'll lose their religion, it's inevitable. Frankly we should ban religious schools, especially islamic schools but you can't target a single group so I'd ban them all.
>>53949270 The ad was trash, 1 minute of people cheering without even saying one thing, one idea or something... the comments explain it pretty well though >Cmon low and middle class people, it's a no fuckin brainer
>>53951578 The Islamic schools comment is pretty spot on its stupid to claim that you want groups to assimilate when they go to schools completely cut off from most of Australian society. Closing down Christian schools would be a headache though.
>>53951578 Freedom of speech mate, do you understand the concept?
>As long as they follow our laws, then we systematically have no problem with it.
Herein lies the problem. Islam in it's teachings encourages Muslims to rape, deceive, and conquer non Muslims. Death for apostacy is a mainstream belief in many Islamic countries. Why should our politics be influenced by this violent desert stone age cult?
>The west is built on secularism, and we need to ensure our muslims value secular law over religious law, which many do. We need to assimilate them and eventually they'll lose their religion, it's inevitable.
The trend is going the exact opposite way if you haven't noticed. 2nd and 3rd generations muslims are some of the most radicalised the world has ever seen. Clearly appeasement hasn't worked and is in fact exarcebating the problem. Every time we bend to accommodate their ridiculous beliefs, they see it as a sign of weakness. They have 0 respect for us, and you can see as they grow in numbers they become more brazen and open about their disgust for our people and society.
People operate on the belief that all cultures are equal and deserve a chance to make new lives here. It's blatantly false. The world is full of inequalities, and some cultures are just deficient and don't belong in civilised society. The values of Islam are so diametrically opposed to our's that they simply can't coexist in any meaningful way.
>>53951625 I got fed up with it and have started tearing their arguements apart. Its funny because as soon as you step in, there's a rent a crowd of outraged PC police that release tirades of namecalling, strawmen, and ad hominem attacks. I guess they're not used to an opposing opinion disturbing their echo chamber.
>>53951735 what you say goes against the experience I had with the muslims I knew in high school and the muslims I still know today.
Most of them drank and went clubbing and wanted to fuck girls etc. If they grow up here, amongst normal aussies, most of them are way more preoccupied with schooling, work and trying to be happy. In time religion becomes less important to them. But we need to get rid of religious schools to speed up this process imo. There was a time islam went hand in hand with rationality and science, the current most popular brand of islam somewhat goes against that, but if they live in the west I really do believe we can breed out the retardedness of islam in time.
Also we should be actively trying to cut ties with saudi arabia and undermine their influence. Wahabbism and arabification is cancer, and they're using their money to spread it.
>>53951817 arguing on facebook is even worse than arguing on 4chan
>>53951880 >what you say goes against the experience I had with the muslims I knew in high school and the muslims I still know today. >Most of them drank and went clubbing and wanted to fuck girls etc.
Your first mistake is to conflate "Muslim" with "Arab".
Islam is a religion, and they are not following it if they're drinking. But their culture is such that they have to live double lives where they hide what they really believe and do from their parents. This causes huge stress. Some of the girls get sent off to arranged marriages, or honor killed too.
A big problem is that many of these second genners get conned into joining up with Jihadis because they feel they haven't been "good muslims". They might break from Islam a bit, but they lack the ideological rationale to stay away from it. They aren't fully secular. They will still belive in Allah, and that Islam is good, etc. They're just hypocrites.
I am not trolling. I think this guy might "europeanize" America a bit. And I consider that it is a good thing.
Europe and America, including Canada, shouldn't live the ones apart from the others. If we become a strong and friendly union of nations we would advance a lot. Look at all our potential separated, imagine it now united.
>>53951880 Australia has done a much better job of integration than Europe in this regard, but keep in mind that they're only about 1% of our population. The amount of trouble they cause already is beyond disproportionate. You don't hear a squeak from the Buddhists or Sikhs, who each make up over 2% respectively.
Also don't bother with anecdotal evidence next time, it means nothing.
>>53952194 >100% of the problems Europe faces are due to Muslim immigrants It's not that simple. Corruption, the destruction of the democratic process and the nation state, a war on European culture, are all part of the elite's plan for 21st century Europe. This isn't conspiracy, the bureaucrats at Brussels have pubically admitted their aims. Islam is simply a symptom of a more endemic and systematic problem.
>>53952217 Then being a bit more like you all with regard to expanding the welfare state shouldn't be a big deal. I think the US has moved a good amount to the left socially, arguably more so that Australia, but we have enormous steps to take with things like inequality, economic policy and with expanding welfare.
>>53952295 You've drifted Left only in the petty issues that don't matter, or serve to divide your society along ethnic and class lines.
So yes, hopefully you can begin to make meaningful changes that will put you on par with other Anglo and OECD countries. There's no reason why you shouldn't be, being the richest and most powerful country on earth.
>>53952301 Agreed. I want the state to have far more power, for us to have multiple parties and to move closer to a parliamentary system, and for the state to ensure a minimum standard of living. I think these pretty well represent Euro values. I'm not holding my breath though.
The officials need new people to fill demographic holes. They need this to keep the economy growing and to have enough new workers to pay for those who retire. They massively underestimated how shitty Muslim immigrants are though. They are thinking that if they just bury how shitty they are in a few generations they'll integrate.
We need to find a different solution to the demographic problems so we can stop the need to import muzzies.
>>53951125 this is why Hillary is going to lose, its so fucking insincere and petulant.
She cant say something like that herself so she uses proxies to try and force some political controversy. I remember Hillary's PAC also funded the fuck h8 people putting bernies name on their bullshit. She's by far the most experienced, credentialed candidate but has run a completely nothing campaign devoid of any real meaning and sentiment.
I really want her to go down and for the election to be Trump vs. Sanders. Both are for single payer healthcare (for some reason /pol/ only flips out over it if you're a socialist) and both are against the TPP. These are the top two issues right now.
>>53952372 A big problem is the left is too concerned about social shit as opposed to problems that are so much bigger like oligarchs buying up enormous amounts of power through lobbying or the fact that if you loose your jobs you could seriously be fucked. The democrats are republicans are actually not split even. Dems have SIGNIFICANTLY more members. But they concern themselves to much with pop politics like DUDE WEED and black lives matter. But who knows, maybe we'll see some change.
