Hey guys what's the difference between Mexican and Spanish food?

Can you find most all of Spanish dishes in Mexico plus the Mexican spin on things or did the Spanish leave a lot of their dishes back in the mother land and you really don't find much authentic Spanish food in Mexico?

the only overlapping dish i can think of is empanadas. other than that, our cousine is heavily influenced in spanish cousine (which itself is inlfuenced in arab cousine), but different enough to have its own identity. spanish food is great imo

Ironically enough I don't even think most Mexicans are of Aztec decent. Most of the Aztecs were wiped out so the only surviving indios were the Tlaxcala and other tribes who teamed up with the Spanish to beat the Aztecs.
