>>53824346 You could just kick them out without noticing it to the media like we did before the crisis, and there would be no overzelous progressist governments bringing you to the European Court of the Human Right 'cause that's their only way to get world relevancy.
>>53824421 >>53824469 That's bollocks. Non-refoulement has nothing to do with EU. Court for human rights is not an EU institution. If nation states without EU would have fared any better in dealing with migrants it would have been only because they were shittier and less attractive. The situation is as shit as it is not because of some EU directive that does not even exist, but because of impotence of the individual countries in processing illegals and deporting or assimilating them.
It's especially disgusting when an Italian tries to shift the blame away from his mafia controlled country to impotent EU when it's Italian mob that takes active part in bringing the boat people in.
>>53825956 >>53826245 Did that stop the Hungarians from building the fence? And who specifically was criticizing you, was it EU official or just hypocrite from another country wanting to make himself look good at expense of someone else?
If you mean that you should be able to shoot them when they attempt to cross the border, well... I'm guessing we'll be getting there sooner or later.
>>53826653 Eastern european countries have it easier doing whatever they want because they're to love babies of Germany and even if they were not they're not expected to behave. Poland can waste all it's money on a giant Aragorn statue, no problem, Hungarians can build a fence, no problem. Some will cry and that's it. Countries west and north of Germany have to act like actual countries.
>>53826835 By acting like actual countries I mean that they're subject to "western" standards (read the standards of Brussel's liberals). The racism that central Europe suffers due to it's ex-soviet past has positive counterpart as they're seen as still being in process of adapting to this values.
>>53825245 >It's especially disgusting when an Italian tries to shift the blame away from his mafia controlled country to impotent EU when it's Italian mob that takes active part in bringing the boat people in. Oh boy, tell me you're just pretending to be an idiot. Mafia (normal enterpreneurs for the most part actually) just use them as slaves picking oranges in the southern fields, they don't (can't) smuggle them here. Also the migrants' influx has been almost totally hijacked as the balkan route opened, the few going by boat die on their way to Lesbo island and shit. Did muh godfather get enough money or what. Plus i'm aware ECoHR isn't an EU institution, but Sweden brought us there in the first place, setting a precedent.
>>53827023 This. The only way this migrant crisis is going to work out is by making sure the people come into the EU 'feel and act' European but we can't even get eastern bloc nations to act like proper EU countries.
here's hoping the UK doesn't leave since it could very well start a chain reaction
why the hell are some of them saying the EU is at fault for their immigration problems anyway? it's not like they're fully in Schengen, they can point who goes in and who goes out (example: the calais jungle)
all their pakis and shitty third world inmigrants certainly didn't get there because of the EU
>>53827863 I'm voting to stay in because I know the EU would stop dealing with us out of spite which means America would lose interest in having us as their 51st state influence in the EU. Then we'll have to make ends meet giving handjobs to Russia and China.
These are the ""benefits"" we get from being in the EU: >restraints on production and protectionism in agriculture = losing a few million much needed potential jobs. >forced to accept migrants and rapefugees because our means of repealing them are "inhuman". >they subsidize our politician's incompetence via bailouts so they get to create a bigger problem. >they force us to raise taxes as a condition of the aforementioned bailouts, killing our economy. >thousands of more pointless regulations that make the process of actually producing something way harder. >meme currency doomed to fail. >tax evasion. (I'm against taxation and the welfare state in general, but having both but failing at the former will grant us lots of misery)
The only good thing that comes to my mind is the Schengen Area, but it isn't that much of a thing when you can just get a passport.
>>53824892 >European political interests and culture >implying there is such a thing In the EU we have 28 different interests and cultures ... well, 27 maybe, Austrians aren't really different from Germans, but seriously, what keeps the EU together is the realization of the member states that individually they're all completely irrelevant on the world stage.
>>53827863 the EU is trying propose "immigrant quotas" on every country which is causing server backlash from certain countries.
The UK isn't mad about immigrants, its mad at the unfair "contribution system" in which Germany requires them to pay in the largest amount for unexplained reasons. Meanwhile Germany claims to have the "strongest economy" yet pays in a smaller amount. This causes bongs to challenge them, as it should. The thing is Germany basically is the EU, so if they are mad at Germany they are mad at the EU.
>>53828005 On the contrary I think the US would be very interested in increasing dealings there. Given our "special friendship" and all. The only question is whether thats a good thing for common people or not.
>>53829020 >restraints on production and protectionism in agriculture You and other guys, please, tell me about it. I'm thinking about moving to Krasnodar region or Ukraine for farming shit but if Ukraine will join EU and it fuck up agriculture, I'll commit sudoku.
