I know that it surprises many if you to see India's result but honestly crime isn't common here. Criminals are looked down upon and shunned by society. Even with a huge portion of the population under poverty, we don't have too many crimes occurring.

Also about rapes, they are taken very seriously and in many cases the rapists are lynched by a mob.
Once a mob even broke into prison, dragged out the rapist and beat him to death
