By the same logic all western culture is an emulation of the Greco-Roman. Traditional Slavic culture aside, in the time that followed Pertian westernism up until the Bolsheviks, imported western literature, art and music developed distinctly Russian characteristics in the vein that several western cultures developed following the Renaissance. Soviet culture was just an extreme intensification of the westernism from two centuries before, which in turn developed into a unique entity after a century.

I no longer remember what book I read this in, but there's been some significant arguments that the entirety of the Renaissance wasn't really as great as it sounds from an artistic and cultural standpoint because the majority of the works created during the Renaissance were emulations of Greek and Roman art and architecture.

Also, consider how most western languages ditched local alphabets and writing styles in favor of Roman-looking letters overtime.
