So how is everyone feeling now that China is going down the shitter?
...and throw the world in an economic collapse because almost every major manufacturing company has outsourced their production to China. Sure, they can reallocate, but that can take time.
Things were kind different back then, USA was mostly isolationist before the war and outsourcing was nonexistent. The huge industrial output of the USA has really helped mobilization and the war effort.
You also have to factor that China has offensive nuclear capabilities (despite having much less nuclear stockpiles than the US) that can be expanded should a conflict against the West come, chemical and biological warfare is also something to be considered. Shall a escalation of this level occur, the USA would be anything but unscathed as you claim, because due to technologies such as cruise and ballistic missiles, your country can now be targeted effectively from thousands of miles away.
I hate the current political climate. It's like Cold War 2, only America supports their enemy.
Imagine if the US had outsourced all their labour to the Soviet Union during the 70s. It's retarded.
the opening of china was geopolitical but the capitalist reform in the 80s-90s wasn't because all the skilled labor from guangzhou was running to hk and creating a drain on the labor force there so they had try to create some wage/economy parity
This can be a really lomg post but to sum it up Soviet Union couldn't win the Cold War because it was a battle of influences and economies - two things that SU sucked the most at.
A efficient, capitalistic 'USSR' would be a pretty interesting scenario indeed. Imagine these tons of mineral resources from Siberia and the all the oil from Azerbaijan and the Arctic being put to good use, a scary behemoth.
China is the biggest market and they are smart enough to know exactly how to play that card.
There is a new push towards more high tech manufacturing. Korea and Taiwan are already feeling it.
>The Age of America will go on for at least another 50-100 years.
Slower growth and reaching the upper-limit of the export led-growth =! Down the shitter.
Especially when they are transitioning the economy atm.
They cater their children's education to try and keep them in the dark on things and are trying lots of dystonia social engineering thing. Kind of doubt there will ever be change in China unless they have a great depression tier economic collapse. Even then change comes slowly.
I never viewed China as a threat to the US, even when it was on a trajectory to surpass us. I don't like their aggressive territorial claims in the South China Sea (and other places), but that has never caused me to want their economy to tank. Their rapid development, pulling hundreds of millions out of people out of poverty... it's a very impressive and great thing. I hope it continues.
I remember back in the day, before 9/11, the media and the government were pushing hard for a war with China.
Either the Middle East is too fun or China is too important economically for that to fly now
To be fair, China's claims are a bit much and unfair to it's neighbors. But if China tried pulling shit that US did like building a military base in Cuba/Haita/Mexico and staging regular military exersizes off the Florida coast USA probably would have resorted to nuclear warfare already.
Not sure if seriously trolling or seriously stupid
What? Also you didn't answer me on India. They'll have 2 billion by 2060.
In 1975 most Chinese didn't have any money to fine.
Also, if that were true then why has the birth rate dropped to 1.65 from over 6?
Either people are having kids and being fined or are being forced to have fewer kids.
I suspect that one way or another Indians know their country is shit, but Chinese have the delusion they will be powerful again. Non-chinese don't need another racist group fucking things up. The US doing that is enough.
>China has times more influence than USA. Unlike you they have identity and the're conquering the world as we speak.
>>China has times more influence than USA. Unlike you they have identity and the're conquering the world as we speak.
What's the life expectancy in Russia now? 52?
If this hag gets ellected, the US will decay more faster
Our debts to China is in USD buddy and mainly in USD bonds and literal USD cash.
Even if we owed infinite to the infinite power of money we can still print that out and give it to them.
Hilary will win 2016. That's why republicans are even entertaining throwing trump out to get raped by her so the actual Republicans don't get raped.
And USA has only gotten better since Obama has been elected. Thank based democrats.
Don't worry about us man, worry about yourself.
I think the goy might have realised the flaw in his thinking.
We are as of today. China's US debt holdings dropped almost $500 billion over the last couple years.
They are milking us good now that the dollar is strong again.
President's have nothing to do with the economy. Only foreign policy desu.
Not really. We pay interest on the loans we take. If that interest rate increases we will pay more and more.
Our current debt levels, 105% to GDP, are about the max most governments can have before interest rates increase dramatically.
Our reserve currency protects us though. We get to push weakness off onto other nations, and when we overheat we hand inflation to everyone else.
That's why China is trying desperately to make the Yuan more of a reserve currency. They can do something similar to us if so.
Speak for yourself.
Obama has had no effect on the economy, he doesn't control the purse strings, but his foreign policy has been a gutter trash failure.
I feel nothing about it. Its like a part of loop of their history. In a nutshell, its a thing in China.
Theyve always tried to make their big shit up and gone wild over it all together, and in near the end let it become clusterfuck and got btfo by themselves after all. Like shit that mao did. China hasnt changed from the start to now and will do.
Wasn't pre-communist Cuba pretty chill with the US and let them build a military base there?
Same with the other nations?
While in contrast, none of the South East Asian countries likes China at all
I can't remember anyone pushing for a war with China. They were talking about the US exporting low skill jobs and chinese currency. No serious person in the media or government suggested any sort of military action.
>we can alays fuck our economy up so we avoid paying loans that way
why is that guy in the federal reserve?
I'm not worried about Chinese economy, but I'm pretty fucking worried about their infrastructure.
Last week some factory there exploded again. It's unnerving.
I want them to be destroyed, I want to see the PRC experience an economic collapse and be forced to fight in a violent civil war. I want the US to be free from its reliance on nations like the PRC, unfortunately the cuckitalists who run this country would sooner prop up a despot for a dime than enrich their own country. It disgusts me.
