So how much of American college/university life is actually like what I see on TV?

TV exaggerates many parts of college life here. Like I know a hall of students from abroad who came to college here expecting absolute bangers with tons of booze. When they saw most of the parties were actually varying degrees of disappointing, they held their own American TV-style parties, complete with red cups.

I thoguht so too but some frat houses actually live like they do in the movies. It's a little milder and less hot peoples, but the amount of alcohol and drunk shit that goes on is mostly true.

Exactly, but it all depends on the school. My college happens to hit the top 5 party school list continuously (for better or worse) and I can say that the movies are on the right track for the most part.

Are you in a frat?

Nah I'm too poor. Frats usually cost a couple grand a semester and I manage to have enough fun without spending the money. Also frats usually let GDI's into their parties anyways.

I used to go try to make it to sports parties. A lot of the times teams will have dedicated party houses off campus that a few team members live in, they usually went a lot harder than frats in my area.
As a college senior, it's actually somewhat similar. Really ridiculous stuff like, I don't know, Project X, that's not the norm though.
I've loved college. Going to be sad when it's over.

FRATS ARE FOR FAGS
BE GDI.
More and more every day.
It's a case of life imitating art.
