kievan rus' edition
How far east have you blokes in Russia ever been?
I found a rare pic of young Putin
>kievan rus
>russians
So who are the true Rus?
a) Rusyns?
b)Byelorussians?
c)Muscovites?
d)Novgorodians?
e)All of the above?
>>53284056
Swedes from Hälsingland where Rurik was from, who are actually cryptofinns.
>>53284056
Ruthenians = Belarus and part of Ukraine.
Moscovians are tatar nigger subhuman scum that claimed the title of Rus when they killed the elite of the Kievan Rus.
Zaporozhian Cossacks needed translators to speak to Russian tsar, they didn't need any translators when they spoke with Poles. Isn't it weird?
>>53283841
Perm. Shit city in general. I don't think it's a good idea to live past Urals if you're not rich in a summer house on Baikal.
>>53284108
Yes, but the elite that founded Rus got Ruthenised and they spoke Ruthenian and adapted the Ruthenian culture.
Later they were killed by Muscovite niggers that claimed the title of Rus and enslaved the people that were previously ruled by the real Rurik from Scandinavia. And before that they both got ruled for 200 years by the Mongols which made their language even more weirder and their customs brutal.
>>53284153
>Zaporozhian Cossacks
>Cossacks in general
were/are they even homogenous/an actual ethnicity? Aren't they basically frontiersmen from all over the place? Kind of like adventurers or mercenaries?
>>53284357
They were the first "nationalists" of "ukraine".
>>53284357
Also no, cossacks weren't the ethnicity. Some of them were tatars, some of them were turks, some of them were ruthenised poles, some of them were ruthenians.
>>53284318
>Perm
ayy, did you encounter any uralics? or are they all integrated?
>>53284405
>>53284557
thanks for the info
>>53284604
Russian ethnicity started to finally shape when the Catherine tried to justify partitions of Poland.
She said that she's going back to the "roots" meaning she's just claiming what Kievan Rus was. She created "White Russians" and 'Red Russians", before that, they were closer to the Poles.
That's a fact that Russians will deny despite the evidence.
>>53284604
No idea who Uralics are. All people I've met were Russian-speaking. And I don't pay attention to face features. It was just a work trip.
>>53284153
kek, the polish butthurt is real
>>53285110

>>53285372
Is there a lot of people with red hair in Perm?
>>53285408
I've been there five years ago for three days. Can't tell.
>>53285451

>>53281919
Is this a typical face/look for Rus, Ukr, or Bel?
>>53285500
There were more whites.
>>53285681

How does the Russian pension system work? In Finland there are quite regularly (like every 3rd month) some news articles about Russia running out of hard cash as the oil prices plummet and the wars+sanctions+bad relations with big trading partners (Turkey) make the GDP turn to negative growth and because of that the budget is partly paid by I think two funds that are like the pension fund(?) and some future fund? If the Russian economy doesn't get back on the right track and oil prices stay low, is it possible that your government spends all the pension moneyz in weapons and general remilitarization? If I recall correctly there are only like a couple of hundred billions in the pension fund to begin with, in Finland our pension funds have like 150-200 billion euros and we are only 5,5 million people.
>>53289086
> is it possible?
Yup
>>53289454
Wew lad, I'm happy that the government doesn't control our pension funds and using them to cover budget deficit is neigh impossible.
>>53284056
>who are the true Rus
e.
Ukraine and Belarus is soviet children.
>>53290034
>Belarus
first apparead in 18th century
Ukraine in 17th century
>>53290160
Are you retard or ukr/bel-immigrant? Both of two nations speaks and think in Russian. Many of ukranians and belarussians have relatives in Russia. They're part of Russian World.
>>53290466
Only since Catherine the Great.
Russians aren't real, it's a made up nationality that didn't exist before 17th century.
>>53290466
He's just one of these 4chan Polacks, don't mention him.
>>53290605
moskal detected
even russians hate you
>>53286522
Moscow is developed but very bad. I will leave it for a Russian city or some lil town as fast as I could find a distant job.
>>53290742
How about SPb?
>>53290922
Its a nice place for living, but not for working.
>>53290922
Same % of immigrants. But St. Petersburgers are really different in a good way.
>>53291208
What does immigrants mean when it comes to Russia and is it a good or a bad thing? And how much does that mean? How are people from SPb different?
>>53291448
>when it comes to Russia
When it comes to big cities it means Asians who come to get low paid jobs (people from provinces do it too but Asians are less demanding so companies prefer them) on construction sites, as cleaners, etc. Caucasians who come to sell drugs, rob, launder money and organize all kinds of illegal activities. They literally conquered all markets in the nineties, replacing Russians.
>And how much does that mean?
~3 mil Muslims in Moscow + some amount of non-Muslim Caucasians.
~2 mil immigrants in St. Petersburg in general.
Asians usually go back and return for seasonal jobs but some stay.
>How are people from SPb different?
Less arrogant (in Moscow people love to pretend their place is the only good Russia and others are shit hellholes populated with orcs even if they come from other cities themselves), more cultured, more chill. All criminals, whores and such go to Moscow, it's their #1 goal in life. They outnumber educated law abiding citizens, at least feels like it to me. St. Petersburg is not as popular nowadays. It had a criminal image in 90s but not more criminal than Moscow de-facto. People have more European mindset in general, Moscow is just a big cash machine at the moment.
>>53292334
How about smaller big cities in Russia, like Omsk, Novosibirsk, Kazan?
>>53290672
Moscow will be a part of Poland my dear friend
Can someone post the cat that is happy with his pancakes?
