I hope I dont offend anyone, but how comes everything about England is so ugly?
Their houses, their food, their people, even their weather.
It can't be a coincidence, can it?
>you will never be an impoverished chav living in a council estate in Hull causing petty crimes on a daily basis and terrorizing your elderly neighbors.
Plenty of terraces in London, although the style is different to the ones in the OP. Sash windows are mostly on the townhouses, Victorian and Edwardian terraces don't look like that either.
Terraced houses with the old yellow stock bricks can be gorgeous 2bh
>hut in the desert.
You don't know much about the U.S. do you? Our middle class houses are generally bigger than European homes and like most countries the majority live near the coast (39% actually live in countries bordering the coast). No one really lives in the desert unless your some kind of religious nut.
Actually, I was surprised when I moved here that the wooden houses meme is only really true in a few places. Most homes here are solid brick. Only outer suburbs are cardboard meme houses.
Have you never traveled around your country? They're everywhere, from north to south and from small towns to big cities. To say that they are only in a couple areas is laughable.
That doesn't resemble anything in my town, m8. The UK is a great place to live, and the more I've travelled and the more I've learnt about the world the more I thank my lucky stars I was born here.
I didn't want to believe the memes
Honestly, if you think there are better places to live than the UK then you're deluded, and selectively posting the poorest places we have to offer is proof only that even our lower classes get a solid brick house each with clean water and 1st world sanitation.
Semi-Detached make up 26% of houses in the UK
Page 11 has a list of house types and their percentage
ITT: It's bad to be working class shocker
Pic related is about 40 minutes away from central London on the tube
a lot of this country is "ugly" compared to some other places in europe because we were the first industralised country and a lot of the buildings are 19th century or older. plus the fact WW2 left us relatively untouched. but that's not to say there aren't plenty of beautiful places
I live in a fairly well off town in the North
These are average houses in my town
Semi-Detached ones with about the same floorspace are also common
>yfw you realise 10 Downing Street, the public face of Britain, is a terraced council house
I hope you're not referring to the brown foliage at the edge of the road. It is from the trees.
My parents one is worth half a million. They've been in it for around 30 years though.
Memes aside. This what white areas are like in England
I live in the UK right now. The only possible way for me to have an even higher standard of life is to win millions on the lottery or something, and even then I'd just move to an even nicer place in this country. I'd concede that there are countries that might compete with UK but to say there are places much better than here is sheer fantasy. You're obviously bitter about something but that's your problem, son.
nah i've seen you a few times and i can tell you're not british from your writing style. you stay stuff like "a couple things" instead of "a couple of". your autism levels are off the charts
Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood reminds me of Downing St a bit.
Brick terraced homes in New England are worth quite a bit of dosh. Maybe you can buy some surface parking lot in Boston or a plot in some rural village in New England, plop some British brick terraced homes and flip them for a million dollars, kek.
What a cuck
I lived in Texas as a child and I never resorted to using American spellings.
I remember doing some English test and the teacher marked me down for using the British spelling instead of the American spelling.
I complained but she didn't have any of it. My parents complained to the teacher, my home room teacher and the Principal, and it got remarked with the British spelling being correct.
I did two years of middle school but we lived in an area with quite a few British expats, so they accepted us using British English
Bill Gates house is actually pretty nuts. Only 1/3rd of it is visible because it's build into a hill. Medina houses are nuts but his is next level. I helped do a fence for some amazon guy that lived out there for a summer job in high school, he spent 350k on a fence.
Never lost my accent which is nice
My sister lost hers days after getting off the plane and when we moved back to the UK, we moved to the North and she picked up a Northern accent
For white people all of those countries have almost exactly same standard of living. The only reason why people leave England for those cunts is mainly for the weather.
Also I can just tell you're not a brit. So stop pretending.
Compared to a place like Florida, California, or most of Australia it can be quite shit most times. It might be great for brits but it is still overcast it seems more often than not.
I like overcast weather though so it doesn't bother me very much.
in fact I'd go as far as to say if I could afford to live anywhere in the world it would be in some little rural village on the south coast of england, literally the goatest place on the planet
Page 10 if you are looking in a PDF viewer, marked as page 18 on the document and onwards
I live in Fylde
>it is still overcast it seems more often than not.
No it isn't.
'Seems' is not evidence hard facts from the met office is evidence and that hard evidence proves you wrong.
>"It is also furthest from the paths of most Atlantic depressions, with their associated cloud, wind and rain, so the climate is relatively quiescent."
We don't get many slavs around my area, but the ones we do are hard working and likeable. A Polish family brought some food of theirs to the last street party and we had a great time.
Unfortunately we live near a chav shithole, so if they find a reason to come here, then they just fuck our shit up
Fortunately, there isn't much of a reason for them to come here
Average in your area is a price of 179k. Pic related semi-detached is a listing for 176k.
no tornadoes there
these are over 10 hours drive from there
The funny thing is that the UK is more fucked with mudslimes than Germany is... But I think Merkel will fix that... Wir schaffen das.
this is why we take so many drugs here. we hate our lives.
I did. Likely a third of my office was American Expats who would constantly complain about how shit the UK was. When the pound went off a cliff, I decided to fuck off to the US with them.
you lot have been cherry picking so I thought I would do the same, google 'american slums' or 'american projects' and there's literally tens of thousands of pictures like this, so get off your fucking high horses
If I wanted a massive house in the Scottish highlands or a massive house in Alaska, It would still cost more in the UK. There's plenty of space in both of these locations, but people will pay a premium to live somewhere like the UK, America is nice, but I don't want to live knowing a gang of niggers could ransack my house at any moment. Even if it means I have to pay a bit more for the privilege. Factors like this influence property markets across the globe. And they favour the UK over America.
build it yourself, comes as a kit
this one is under $20,000
No American, it is also very possible they were made in mind to house (factory) workers. These types of houses are here too, they're small (because they needed a lot of cheap houses fast) and host enough space for one family.
>but I don't want to live knowing a gang of niggers could ransack my house at any moment
How many here do you think live like this?
I know of none.
Not all of America is the stereotype that has formed on 4chan
Again, I'm British. I'm not an American citizen yet. Won't be for another year. The difference between me and them is that I've actually lived in the UK and know exactly what it is like.
>tfw I will never mass produce GM cars in Detroit and live the American dream...
and your argument is coming from a point of opinion and bias because you hated the UK enough to leave, I am trying to argue facts and the fact is there is about .02 difference between the anglo countries on the HDI index, therefore confirming what I;ve been arguing all along that the standrad of living in any anglo country is basically the same with slight variation
The vast majority of poor people in Detroit live in small single family bungalows. The only time you see row homes in the midwest, 9 times of out ten they are made of stone like pic related.
>to house (factory) workers.
Holland gets it. These terraced houses, as we call them, are a relic of late 19th, early 20th century when there were a lot of active factories and mines and housing was needed. Most are being replaced with modern homes now because people don't want to live in them.
>UK is more desirable than America.
w e w
For you rich faggots
you really don't know what you are talking about, you're arguing from a point of complete ignorance, there are meteorological facts to back up my argument, the weather in southern england, particularly along the coast, is comparable to France, not really surprising though considering that they are only a few miles apart geographically speaking
Your impressive digits do nothing to mitigate your lies.
Sorry m8 I've never seen either of those. I'm not sure the Kray twins were typical, they were pretty hardcore criminals in their prime. The area they grew up in would be a working class kind of place where you might find chavs, but still some decent people who wouldn't really fit the chav stereotype, plus chav culture is a more recent phenomenon 2bh.
I'm sorry, but the markets don't lie. It's simple supply and demand. If people don't want to live in your country, it's going to be cheap. Same reason mouldy bread is cheaper than fresh baked.
Actually foreign investment has a lot to do with it, as well as your geography. USA has lots of space to spare, UK does not. Regardless, I'd wager that most non Anglos would prefer to live in the States than the UK.
>I'd wager that most non Anglos would prefer to live in the States than the UK.
ehhhhh, I'd be more inclined to argue against that but you might be true.
This, I quite like it.
whether there is a God or not is irrelevant... without hope, you get alcoholism and fear of the feral children running in the street who could randomly stab your face at any point for looking at them wrong
>>made of logs
better than the average wood frame and cheaper
>>probably doesn't have proper sewerage
depends on where you put it, hooking up to sewer system cost depends on distance from road
>>middle of nowhere
that is a good thing, being ten minutes from the grocer is fine with me
Is every Brit obsessed with living in London or other big cities?
>The market is pricing out plebs though.
Exact same thing is happening here but to a lesser extent. Billionaire chinks, Russian natural gas oligarchs, and Saudi oil barons are parking their money in our cities and blacks are pretty pissed off about it.
Its the weather
When the weather is shit the people get moody
When stays shit forever they get depressed
The houses and the food are not ugly, they are dull, byproduct of an indifferent attitude that characterizes depressed people
They spawned the Greatest Empire the World has ever known driven by the sheer need to get away from their shitty island
>They spawned the Greatest Empire the World has ever known driven by the sheer need to get away from their shitty island
USA is by far. You only have to look at the ghettos to see that, and even the so called middle class areas that live in cheap timber houses that still use septic tanks because there are no proper sewerage systems in those towns. Imagine having to keep all the shit and piss in a tank under the front lawn in 2016 lmao.
The real estate is obviously a more reliable investment as develop-able land is a very finite resource and prices are very likely to rise as it runs out. Not more desirable as in a better place to live.
This post proves you know less than shit, and all your info come from 4chan
s-stop bullying UK guys. It isn't all total shit.
To be honest, most of the people that I know who still live in Britain have absolutely no idea what it is like in the US. They pretend to be experts and one of their favorite activities is discussing the US, but none of them actually have the slightest idea.
>tfw someone says that some first world country is ugly and depressing
One time I was leaving a pub with a friend in London. As we went outside I remarked "It's fucking raining again?" and some girls said "Oh I suppose it's always sunny in America!!!", I said "yeah"
The only places that they actually visit are Orlando, NYC, and Las Vegas, and LA. Any other info that they have about the US comes from the sensationalist and very anti-American BBC and movies.
Heh. I googled the local weather hoping to find sunny results. Maybe it's just a bad week.
It's funny how everyone accuses the BBC of being anti-(whatever they like). Conservatives say it has too much liberal bias, lefties say it's a Tory mouthpiece and pretty much every big country is convinced that all the stories about them are part of some propaganda campaign against them. Think you might just be a bit sensitive 2bh.
How many virgins do you have to sacrifice in UK to make the sun show up?
Well, one good thing about our shitty weather is at least it's consistent. It doesn't get very cold in the winter and it doesn't get too hot in the summer. We also never get any crazy weather like hurricanes or tornadoes.
>We also never get any crazy weather like hurricanes or tornadoes.
Isnt like half of England flooded right now?
You probably also believe that NPR is a reliable and balanced news source. Get off it. The BBC and Al Jazeera are just as bad as everything else. Liberal Americans just like to say that they watch them because it makes them seem like special snowflakes.
Because those are the only type of things that you would see near the highway. Living near a main road is undesirable here, so that is where we put our cheap, shitty housing, so when you drive through that is what you often see.
>midwestern US looks like shit
yeah, this is horrible...
This house is not bad. Just remove fucking glass from the balconies and install similar windows. You need a panel building as an example.
Agree. We have an area of 5 storey commieblocks in my town, they literally drown in green which makes everything not as bad.
>history and culture
how does this affect you day to day?
I have always wondered this.
Every time I hear a German talk about culture I assume he must be wearing Ledehosen.
What's your daily cultural stuff?
I detest NPR. It's liberal propaganda garbage, how did you deduce that from my post that clearly states that all American media sources are shit?
Are you really telling me there is not a single organization of journalists out there who truly hunt the truth?
The UK does have quite a low cosy:not cosy ratio.
>Are you really telling me there is not a single organization of journalists out there who truly hunt the truth?
Yes. There are no objective news sources. People introduce their own biases into everything.
>No one really lives in the desert unless your some kind of religious nut.
Most Californians aren't religious.
>why is a jew city more expensive?
nobody will ever know
Yeah don't blame you at all. I wouldn't recommend anyone move here from another first world country and would emigrate myself if I had the skills/money to get into a decent country.
In the 20th century, the UK basically tarmac'ed over anything that could be covered in tarmac.
So all our highstreets, which used to be pretty places shared between horsecarts and people, are now basically big roads. Pic related.
In Europe, they have more designated town squares rather than highstreets, so they have avoided this problem somewhat, because you cannot really stick a road through a town square like you can a high street.
If you replaced all the city and town roads in the UK with cobble stones, it'd look a lot better.
>tfw you will never fuck a eurotrash junkie behind a dumpster
The UK is the best Anglo country to live in by far to be honest. All of the poor and foreign people live in the same five places and theres a lot of variety in culture; changing massively from one place to the next. If you dont like dreary weather, simply move to the south east or south west which are both as white and rich as fuck and have good weather. Id you like cold weather and autistic people go to scotland. If you like cold weather and talkative people go up north. Just avoid the small areas of the west midlands and west yorkshire and youll not have a complaint with wherever you live as theres a place for everyone.
>The UK is, by far, the worst of the Anglo nations.
>he says after voting for a nigger for another term, and burying his son in the 7th shooting incident this week.
>>he says after voting for a nigger for another term, and burying his son in the 7th shooting incident this week.
Didn't vote for a nigger and I've never had any shootings anywhere near me.
Friendly reminder that if you have less than a km of warm coastline per capita you are pretty much a none country
>Graph is measured on hundreds of metres for some reason
This is the average lower middle class neighborhood in the South
>The funny thing is that the UK is more fucked with mudslimes than Germany is
>But I think Merkel will fix that
>all these Brits acting like the UK is top notch
While I'll acknowlage that there are worse places to live and that there are parts of the UK that are still pretty good or even excellent, you cannot deny that this country is dying.
The toilet has already been flushed. We're just doing laps of the pan before we disappear into the sewers.

lots are ugly yes, but that can be sad of most houses in the world. when our houses are nice, they are very beautiful.
this meme can go and die, we have lots of fantastic local produce and at good prices too, as well as good access to decent european stuff. In my area here, none of the local supermarkets sell mascarpone cheese, for example, I have to drive 20 minutes to the next area to buy some, at a very overpriced rate too. smoked salmon i get in the uk costs 4pounds, here it costs me $12. no wonder americans are so fat and unhealthy, all the good stuff is crazy expensive.
yes sadly, 80% of everyone is 4/10 or less. i think most people in the world are just average looking, but sadly most brits are below average.
well no shit its not sunny all the time, we are very far north and an island, which makes for a lot of overcast and rainy weather. however it is not always shitty here, and it doesnt rain every day and we do get weeks of sun.
for some reason the typical british mentality is depressive, so lots of our programmes are self depreciating or gloomy. to be honest it does get grating but you can just not watch it, we do make non gloomy tv too.
Of course the uk has problems, but so does every country.
fucking muslims though, they ruin everything.
